Prayer Request, My Dad |

At the doctor last week my dad was told he had bladder cancer, a bulge in his aorta (they are gonna do some tests on this Monday) and one of the veins in his arteries is blocked. Yeah, all this sounded crazy to me too. My dad has already had a triple bypass a few years ago (developed everything else that can fall in line from it afterwards), then became a diabetic. They are going to do surgery on him on July 2nd. After that they will see about opening the artery, provided all goes well. My dad has a very weak heart, has alot of bad days, so to speak. Please keep my dad in your prayers.

John If possible, please consult a nutritionist in addition to the doctors and if he can do some moderate exercise with water bottles it will help - I highly recommend this to you. I always bug my dad about this and he is really dedicated now. He had a stent installed not to far back but is now better in shape than he was in a long time. The best thing is seeing their confidence grow and realizing they had the power to do something they thought they could never do. One of which is be healthy again... Pray for your father bro. |

Please keep my dad in your prayers, his surgery is this Thursday. I came back (to live and help support) , even thought I didn't want to, but they are my parents and I will obey the will of the Father. I think he is afraid cause of what may lie ahead (based on news he received today), but I can only assure him, while he insults me, that the Lord has a plan for his life. That he needs to swallow his pride and talk to the Father. My dad grew up knowing the message and love of the Father. It saddens me to speak to my dad while he slanders the Kingdom of God. His surgery is on Thursday of this week, I am thankful to those who have read my request for prayer and have responded unconditionally (which is what we are called to do, not be a judge of what we deem a believer to be) with love and support. Again, thank you brothers and sisters for keeping me and my family in your prayers.

Mead, I took care of people who cared for me. You will not regret doing this for your parents. It sounds as if you will have a bit of a rough time of it, but yur father really needs to hear the Gospel again and again. I pray that he will be receptive.
