48% Dixie. Barely in Yankeedom.
19% Dixie. Wow! You are a Duke of Yankeedom! Funny. I was born and raised in Louisiana (Dixie) but I have move around a little. I admit I have a bit of an accent but I'm certain I have a better grasp of the English language than your average southerner. |

Oh Elkie - I'm not mad!!!! I am told that I have a very softspoken and slight southern drawl. Now I have a boss from Boston and we didn't understand anything either one of us said for about 6 months.... everyone worked with him and now he is also speaking normally .... with a slight southern drawl.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I am baking Dannyboy some biscuits as we speak - bless his lil ole heart!!! (I just don't want southern bashing. I can't tell you how sweet, loving and creative my southern family were and are.) 'Got my dander up then, eh?! lol I was hoping people would just have a little fun was all.... Elkie, honey... I am about as Southern as one person can get... and I understand how blessed I am to be able to live in the beautiful South. I have lived many, many places and I always cannot wait to get back to my beloved Virginia.... Now... I am fairly sure that no one is really upset or angry.... and you shouldn't be worried or upset either... People say some funny things sometimes and don't realize how silly their comments are. I deleted my previous posts on this thread because I did not want to cause you any distress. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/emot-hug.gif) I'm going now to put on my hoop skirt and sit on the veranda with a mint-julep (non-alcoholic) and watch the magnolias bloom..... 49% Dixie. Barely in Yankeedom.
14% Dixie. Wow! You are a Duke of Yankeedom! Gues that makes sense for a Mahr'lender (Marylander) with a Texan father and mother who grew up in many southern states! |
