Worthy family!

I decided that I should write a small letter addressed to all of you, showing my appreciation and love for you, and at the same time my regret and apology for the times I've been proud, haughty, arrogant, critical, argumentative, or any other vain of hurtful words and actions against you.

First of all, it is truly a blessing to be part of this family. This ministry has greatly helped my growth as a child of God. Many wiser, more experienced believers have given me sound advice and direction for my various trials and bumps over the past months. I cannot express how wonderful it is to have access to such a loving crowd of brothers and sisters!

I know that in the course of discussion, debate, and so on that opinions and views can get very heated from emotions. I'm sure we've all dealt with this at one point here on Worthy. I know that because of the circumstances (long-distance impersonal relationships on the internet), it's a lot easier to be hurtful with your words. After all, all we really see physically is words on a screen! It's unfortunately easy to forget that there are God-fearing, God-loving people on the other side of those words... I just want to apologize for any time that I've been upsetting or proud to another brother or sister here. I know I have before and I really want the Worthy family to understand that I love all of you! It's my prayer that I can learn to be more loving and gracious with my words, rather than critical and harmful.

Again, I thank you for all your acceptance and love. Please forgive me for ever sinning against you!

In His love,

pokemaughan (Mathew)

I truly can't think of anything you have done that would be construed as sinning against anyone but...I'm glad you're trying to keep yourself righteous. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

Pokemaughan, thank you for your honesty and scriptural approach to a problem that I think many of us on worthy can, or should relate to. You are very right when you say that the impersonal nature of words on a screen makes us think that we can utter statements or views that we would hesitate to do if facing the individual/s.

We can all learn from your lesson, because much more than an apology, it is a lesson we should all heed. (and by the way, I have never experienced any arrogance, or hurtful words from you at all (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) )

Bless you for posting this important lesson.

Thanks for the reminder in humility! From time to time, yes, everyone of us stumbles and allows the mighty tongue to steer, using the words our flesh demands to use, neglecting the quiet rebuke from the Holy Spirit. We are of a fallen state, forgiven from our past sins, but still, not perfect ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

God Bless, Matthew!!

I have enjoyed reading your posts, and can't recall anything you have said that has been the least bit offensive or out-of-line. I am glad to have you as a fellow member of Worthy Boards. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

I know that I have had problems with that also--on both ends. I admire your humility at asking for forgiveness. I can't think of anything you might have said to me personally that I might have been upset about.

G-d bless you and keep you, and make His face to shine upon you, be gracious to you, may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace! (Numbers 6:24-26)

Dear Brother in The Lord,

Thank You for pouring out your heart to us all! though I do not think it necessary to do so. You have reacted like myself at times as I am sure there are others who have responded likewise. We are all human, and as such, we are all subject to this flesh that we live in. I, personally do not recall any harsh moments between us, but if there were any, you are already forgiven.

Does this mean you surrender your position on issues? Heavens NO! We grow in God as we rub against each other. stone sharpens stone. If you feel that you were overly harsh, ask the Lord to bring you into a more graceful tone before you respond to a topic you are passionate about.

I welcome the discussions ahead!

God Bless you Brother,

Bill
