On Tuesday Andrew comes home from school with his surgical site wrapped. It was supposed to be left exposed to the air for healing with the steri strips on it. I wasn't pleased, but kept my mouth shut. He comes to me complaining it is too tight. he claimes he complained while they were wrapping it, and they paid no mind to him. I unwrapped it. Yes it was tight. When I got the bandage off I found scotch tape wrapped around his arm to hold the strips on. I carefully got it off.
Today the school calls and says he needs a shower. Ok he took a shower the night before, but we were still drying to wash betadine off of his arm. Much easier said than done when you are trying to be gentle. So it was coming along in stages. I guess this is the reason they were making him shower at school. They called me and I told them his site needed to be covered with plastic wrap. The nurse said "why it is healed"? I told her until the entire scab was off it was to be covered. Then she proceeds to announce that it is infected anyway (which it is not I checked it again when he came home). While she was on the phone I asked why they had put scotch tape on my sons arm. They are sure it was medical tape. This was slim and shiny....just like scotch. I have never in my life seen medical tape like that, and neither have the 2 nurses I showed it to. I asked why they didn't call me first before wrapping it since it was supposed to be air exposed. Thry said they were afraid he would bump it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Now I have this funny feeling that they will once again call child protective (just as they did last year saying he was newly Autistic and I had his diagnoses papers from 2000) and they will show up on my doorstep. Colleen is in no mood for visitors. My Bi Polar has been acting up bad, and I am very very territorial right now. In all honesty it could be dangerous for them to show here. I cannot predict myself with outsiders lately so I have been staying in. I want him out of that school. I never want to have to deal with that place again. When they push me to outright anger and almost into panic attacks it is time to go. Any opinions? Suggestions? |

well you might consider home schooling, and yes you can handle it cause greater is HE that is within you than he who is in this world.... remember we do not fight with flesh and blood.... and we are to bless and not curse....Jesus will give you the wisdom to handle this situation... and give you peace in the process....for those whose minds are stayed upon Him will be cast in perfect peace....and I know You are able to cause my fears to cease.......Jesus is greater than your fears, greater than your problems .... and He is magnified above the enemy himself.....
