The Truth
You cannot be saved by being a 'good person':
"For by grace are ye saved through faith...Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8a-9 KJV)
And there are not 'many paths’ to God, there's only One:
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6 KJV)
The Bible tells us that everyone is a sinner:
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23 KJV)
You must realize that there is a punishment for sin:
"For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23a KJV)
This does not mean only physical death, but also spiritual death:
"...fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28b KJV)
Jesus died on the cross for your sins:
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8 KJV)
And then He rose from the dead, conquering death:
"Him God raised up the third day, and showed him openly;" (Acts 10:40 KJV)
Because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, eternal life becomes a free gift from God:
"...by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life." (Romans 5:18b KJV)
"...the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23b KJV)
But just like any gift, it doesn't become yours until you receive it. To receive God's gift of eternal life you must call on the name of the Lord:
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13 KJV)
Time is growing short and you should not put off your decision. The Bible tells us:
"(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)" (2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV)
There is no other way to be saved than by Jesus, and there is no better time than now to receive salvation...

Hello,
I'm sorry, but we're now having to moderate all new topics that are started in Worthy Welcome because of the amount of Porn Spammers creating accounts and starting new topics! We'll release the new topics ASAP, and we'll try our best to prevent these disgusting posts from ever making it onto the boards,
Your brother in Christ with much agape love,
George

Shalom my brothers and sisters,
First of all, welcome to our online fellowship. It's our sincere hope that you enjoy your time on our boards. Recently it occurred to me that a great number of people have come into our online fellowship within the past year or so and perhaps you've never clearly understood how the ministry operates. So I'm writing out in full detail just how the Holy Spirit led me to create a system of checks and balances within the ministry to keep everyone accountable to each other. We have a very open and transparent ministry.
First, a little bit about our moderating team. Every moderator on the boards comes from a completely unique and different background. There's no 2 moderators from the same denomination on the boards. Denominations do not play a part in our moderating style because our focus is not on denomination differences but rather our common bond in our Lord and Savior Jesus!
So if you see a thread being pulled or yanked, it's not being pulled or yanked because of a difference in theology, but rather a problem with the spirit of the thread. Of course differences are going to be expressed in any discussion -- but how these differences are voiced is the reasoning for any thread being shut down.
Now every single thread that has been started on Worthy is still in our database. Whenever a thread may disappear from the boards -- they are not deleted, but rather moved to a section hidden where an oversight committee reviews every action of the moderating team.
This is where Worthy Watchman come into play. Worthy Watchman are not moderators, but rather a host of individuals that review every thread that has been removed from the boards. Every time a thread is closed, the moderator posts the reasoning behind why the thread was closed. Any problems with moderator actions are posted and discussed.
Worthy Chat Admins review also act in the same function as Worthy Watchman in reviewing different threads and can voice their objections as well.
So you can see, that every action a moderator takes is not only reviewed by each of the other moderators -- but also every Worthy Watchman and Worthy Chat administrator.
So in essence there's nearly 50 people in moderation -- each playing different roles as a system of checks and balances so that focus is maintained!
May the Lord richly bless you,
Your brother in Christ with much agape love,
George

Precious are the ways of God!
I was born in Southern California, Redlands, in 7/27/57. I was raised to the time of 12 in the American Sunday School Union fundamentalist non denominational work. At 12 moved to Mtn Home, Ark. and was convicted of sin and went forward to confess what was going on in my heart, that night on my confession of Christ I was baptized it was a Baptist Church. I had an older Sister that had ripped the guts out of my parents 60's and 70's should say enough of that. So they were more lax with me in hopes that I would turn out differently. I am not a smart man, (but don't call me forest gump)

, and what takes others days took me years to accept and know. I was blinded by my God given need for a life partner and I placed that before God and with the influence of the 70's and 80's took me to a place in Houston Texas where there was great wickedness and suffering of children. God showed me horrible things and in repentance I left all I owned there and fled to my parents home with the clothes on my back! I went 3 ½ years to Citadel Bible College in Ozark Arkansas, a nondenominational fundamentalist work. Due to the things in life I had done after I received Jesus as my Savior I believed that I had blasphemed the Holy Spirit. My resolve was that I would love and serve God's people while I could be around them and accept my punishment when I died. It was a wonderful place shielded or hedged from the world and I ate drank and slept God's Holy and precious Word for 3 years. Summertime's I would stay on campus and serve the needs of the school. It was toward the end of the summer the 3rd year and school was about to start and I was trying to get a jump on things in regards to the study of the Greek language. There were 7 pages of text I needed to copy and the cost was 10 cents per copy which totaled 70 cents which I did not have. So on my way back to the place of stay I asked God to help me give this back to His Children and School. It was a long walk and toward the end of the asking I became very apologetic to God to bother Him in such a little matter because I knew He had a lot on His hands with the universe and all! My apology was so successful that soon I forgot the whole deal. That evening, Saturday it was, I was polishing my shoes for Church the next morning, when I noticed a dime down in the inner soul of my shoe and removed it and placed it on a wooden crate next to where I was polishing my shoes. It must have been 10 minutes or so when all of a sudden a blast of noise and excitement filled the dorm it was a member of the quartet Mark a man of Latin decent and could possibly talk faster than any Human alive! They, the Quartet, had some cancelations and were back nearly a week and half early. We talked about everything in just a matter of moments and I was exhausted in keeping up! He was leaving the room and stopped and said oh! Do you have three stamps I could buy? I said yes but certainly not to buy I would give them to Him! He shrugged His shoulders and laid the money down on the same crate where I had laid the new found dime and left. I don't think that I got maybe three to four strokes of the brush on the shoe before I stopped and tears of joy and sorrow and unworthiness flooded my soul for you see stamps at that time were 20cents each! There setting on the crate was 70 cents. The Spirit of God then took my mind and this is what I learned: it is written that the Lord does not hear the prayers of a sinner John 9:31, not only was I His child but He began on my prayer long before I spoke it! And the universe thing He did that and more to each and every one of His children every day since that day around the world. I am 52 years of age and my only hope and desire is to bring glory and honor to our Father in Heaven. To be emptied of me and filled with His pleasure and will! His Spirit does bear witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.
Love Steven

Hello, my name is Elaine and I am new here.
I am a non-denominational Christian and I have given my life to God.
I am going through a few things in my life one of which includes clinical depression and anxiety which resulted in me being in hospital in April 2009 for four weeks.
There are other things but I will go into them later.
I have been looking for a good Christian forum where I can talk about different things and make some good friends.
Thats all I can think of to say at the moment.
Thankyou for reading this introduction.
God Bless x

greetings, I tried to start a topic in the forum where even guests are allowed to start topics and it won't let me so I must not have very many posts here. Lower than a guest! I read here fairly often and enjoy the board but don't post much so guess (if I'm ever going to be able to post a question) I better get my numbers up. I'll start the number thing by introduction and greeting. I may have done this back when I first registered but I don't remember. I'm a country gal, rather think of myself as 'klassic' rather than 'old' !! Lets just say, more life experience than some. I love the Lord, always wanting to know Him more. I love Christian message boards and have learned so much. Plus it has spurred me to study things like church history and Calvinism etc...things I had not thought to wonder about prior. Be seeing you all on the board and trying to make thoughtful comments to other's posts so I can get a better post number!

Hi everyone,
I am coming here to ask a question to anyone who can give me an answer. I feel like the most awful person. I believe in God, I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me and rose from the dead for my sins, and i believe everything the Bible says. My problem is that i just feel like the worst person in the world because i always give in to temptation. I keep making the same mistakes and repeating the same sins over and over. I worry about my salvation. I want to turn away from my sins and start a better life. I feel like i let God down because i always give in to temptation. I want to be saved and have absolutely no doubt in my mind about it. I don't know what to do..someone please help me

Hi everyone...I came here hoping someone with wisdom and knowledge would be able to help me over a major stumbling block i have been struggling with.
What is the point of all this??? Why did God create us (bearing in mind most of the world's population lives in poverty and suffering) to live this life only to get
to the end and find out that if we did not accept Jesus as His son, we end up roasting in eternal hell. I am really having a hard time trying to make sense and maybe
the answer is it doesn't make sense to us. Does anyone have something that may help. Thank you
