can't type in chat

I can't type in chat. It freezes up and I can't do anything. Anyone know why? Please help. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/noidea.gif)

You have a very old java version from what I can see. It looks like your system can handle a newer version. Try that and see if it makes a difference. One of the pinned threads in this forum is a link to the latest java. You cannot be in chat when you update java or it wont take. After that is downloaded, then close out your browser window and load a new page for chat.

You could also clear your cache. Chat is a memory hog. Sometimes that helps too.

I downloaded version 6 update 12 or something like that it said. Tried to go back in and its not working. I got words to type in my box now but it wont post in chat. Grrrr.

what kind of OS do you have? Also connection? at what speed. Updating Java should have helped.... hope you can type soon!!

Do you use "dial up" for your internet connection? If you do, that's probably the reason. I used to have that, and it would freeze up on me too.
