For the longest time I had a strong love for the color green. I didn't know why. I could be having the worst day, driving through a dull dusty road. As soon as I turn a corner down a lushious valley I can't help but be awe struck by the vibrant color before me. In ways I see colors as a personality. Just looking at my fav. color, to me I see green as the color for hopefulness. I see the impact of this color especially whenever I try to grow my plants. I can water that limp thing as much as I can, but if its not green, it will wither and die. In that case I ask myself, am I green today? Is God's life full in me so I can life in happiness? I remember the first time I really started to stop and admire Gods creation around me. I was a little sad I suppose or somthing. As God begins to renew me the more I could see his presense. Just to follow the color scheme of my blog, I guess I can say that the more God helps me the more colors there where. Just as hope is the brilliant color that caught my attention towards God my hope became grounded in the warm color of brown-my faith. Before me is a vast sky of blue the unending shield of Gods promises. Intertwined are the grey clowds of testimonies that float past and over my head. The yellow son of life shines like Jesus extinguishing the black places of darkness. Right below the clowds and to the sides are the colors of pink and purple the joys and courage I obtain through those trials. How beautiful is Gods creation!

One last thing I forgot to observe. As I looked at that beautiful sunrise I look behind me. On the ground I see my black fading shadow on the ground. I knew that if it wasnt for the sun (Jesus) that shadow would not have been there. I would not have been able to experience anything and would have only remain as a dark shadow. Thank you God for allowing me to live in the light instead of darkness!!!!

and anyway.......Got a fav. color? If so what does that color mean to u?????? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

God bless everyone!!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Its wonderful when you can look at at the environment around you through different eyes. We take it for granted far too often. I have a favourite coulor, blue, I guess because I have lived next to the sea all of my life, and I like to think that every breaking wave is a window into one of my favourite parts of His creation.

Also the sky which is so well, "big" as I work outdoors and in remote areas most of the time.

Nah 1:3 "The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and the LORD will by no means clear the guilty. His way is in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet". I like to think when I look up at the clouds, that He has just walked by.

But certain smells also do it for me. The smell of dry grass on a hot African day, the smell of a crisp breeze after a summer shower.

I think we should pay more attention to the everyday things we miss as we try and survive the day! The first thing the Lord did was to create this home for us, and we should be better custodians of it.

Act 17:24 "The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man". Everything is His temple and we should worship Him in it every day.

Blessings

Beautiful post (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

I'm amazed at all the colors the Lord gave us. I mean really, He didn't have to do that. We could be walking around in black and white - maybe a few greys. But - He gave us s spectacular display of color to gaze at each and every day - everywhere we look.

How amazing is that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

ever notice how in very low man-made light, colors are barely noticeable. some things do appear gray. that caused me to sit and ponder on the ways that it is the light that brings out the colors of the world. We sat in darkness. Now the LIFE is the LIGHT. I love it!

That was interesting, SR. My fav color for a long time has far and away been blue. My house is blue, my motorcycle is blue, my car would have been blue if I was able to pick the color. I'm not in bondage to it, and I appreciate the other colors (I love verdant green landscapes) but I generally prefer blue.

I never thought much about colors until I read Rick Joyner's The Final Quest. In it, he delineates the three colors green, blue, and red, and ascribes to them the meanings, healing, vision, and suffering, respectively. I don't know if there's anything to that or not, but it's something that has always stuck with me.

Whenever I think of colors and meaning, "The Coloring Song" comes to mind:

My favorite color is also green. It used to be pink, but I much prefer green now. It is just a bright and cheery color. I also like orange and yellow but green is my all time favorite, just ask anyone that knows me lol.
