I have an idea! - Worthy Christian Forums

I have found it difficult to put links to photos on the boards. Maybe I am just technically disadvantaged.

But, on other places such as facebook it is easy. My suggestion, if possible, is to allow each profile page a place for an album. This could be controlled to a few photo's only. Give each person room for say 4 or 5 which they can change when they want to. The mod's could vet photo's before they are posted?

I have made friends here beyond the site itself, and as we have got to know each other we have used facebook to look at each others photo's of things we are doing, church stuff, family, etc. I feel I am in a family here, and would like to share parts of my life visually as well.

I think what I am suggesting is safe, especially as it would be vountary, and vetted by the mod's.

Is this possible, and what do people think of the idea?

i have been asked by a member of the old forum i had just left to join face book he has sent me an invatation i am having problems setting up a personal photo of my self i went to tiny pics and could not even do this


the forum i had left we were able to set our personal photos of our selves i am an old member who has been away from this forum for a long time so its going to take me time to get to know every one worthy is one of the best forums so i am know going to stick to this one



what is face book like is it an ok site are the people on face book ok if you can fill me in i would be great full i am going to sign up today when i get back to face book

Damo, I find facebook good if you control who you are friends with. Only they can see your details, and you can only talk to them in any meaningful way. You can choose your own degree of privacy.

It has been great for me to share with friends on worthy hoilday and family photo's, work photo's, and general photo's of where I live. And the good thing is that I have the choice as to who sees them.

Try it and see.

Facebook totally stresses me.... totally. I cannot figure out how people I have no idea of end up there talking to people that I do know... I'm just stressed by it... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Believer me to! I am about to do a spring clean and delete a lot of "friends". I don't know half of them and I am going to be more selective in future. But I really think Worthy has an ideal model, and we can use it to better advantage, especially because of the excellent mod controls on it.

it's because when you are in someone's friends list, the other people in that list can view who your friends are, without necessarily seeing your nor your friends' profiles. but that opens the opportunity to request them to be added. maybe your friends accepted some requests.

i've had this experience. a person in my list, who attended the same church i did back home, started adding my other friends in her list, even if she didn't know them. so i had these friends asking me who she was. some ignored her, some accepted. i left it up to them.

some people just keep adding friends even if they don't know them. i only add people i know. i have had to ignore some, a lot of which are my students. i don't want my students in my list.

I agree. the 150x150 size is very limiting as most digital photos are way larger, 1200x1200 in some cases, maybe even larger. the auto-sizer doesn't always work and for us to manually re size each photo so the auto sizer will work makes the photo distorted, not to mention the pain in resizing.
