Friends ....

Since I left Canada in January, I havent had a single taste of bacon. Now we all know what an abomination it is to neglect the great Mr. Bacon this way. So I have decided to end this insanity by devoting one full day to bacon meals. To commemorate bacon-day, I would like ANY recipes, even gross ones (yes, its a challenge) that are easy to make (I dont have any fancy kitchen appliances) and that dont require a lot of ingredients (hard to find some ingredients here).

Bring it on!

do you mean bacon... like in strips with fat? or bacon from Canada that is round and is really what we call ham down here? ...

Well, BLT's (Bacon Lettuce and Tomato Sandwiches) ... I usually have them without the bacon though.

Eggs & Bacon ... simple enough, huh?

Bacon wrapped stuffed mushrooms (a little fussy)...

Hot German Potato salad (with bacon).

uhm.... I will think on it....

Cut up Carrots, celery, onions, and green peppers, put them in a crock pot, or regular pot, toss in peas and corn. Boil chicken until it's cooked, and cut it up. toss it in, cook bacon half way in a skillet to get rid of the grease, cut it up and toss it in the pan. Wait till the end if your going to add mushrooms, and also if you want add a can of cream of mushroom soup in the end to give it a creamy chicken taste. Oh ya and add chicken bullion/ garlic powder, and Italian seasonings, and wala! you have ... a soup with bacon!

That sounds great, Josh! And easy; very important if you're never home and subsist on microwaveable food. :)

Take a packet of bacon strips.

Place strips in greaseproof microwave paper.

Microwave for six minutes (or longer if you like them crispy)

Lie on the floor on your back.

Feed bacon strips into your mouth like a paper shredder :)

No utensils, no washing up afterwards :noidea:

Use the bacon and eggs and make sandwhiches with them. You can add just about anything that you do have and add it to bacon. Bacon kebobs, egg balls wrapped in bacon, bacon and egg on a cracker, you can add bacon to any kind of salad. Bacon and egg salad sandwhiches. Anything goes with any kind of bacon in it.
