What do you guys think and please show Scriptural support. This could be a biggie. But I think it is a very important topic for Christians for many different reasons. Who wants to get the ball rolling???

Well we've been through this many times and it turns out that those the believe you can quote some scripture and those who believe you can not loose your salvation will tell you that you were really just never saved in the first place. They also have verses to show what they believe.
Final answer as they say on the TV, is that it is a hopeless discussion for no one but the Lord knows who is really saved for it is mostly within the heart that it happens.
So, I think I'll just leave it with the notion that first you must decide who is really saved and who is not. Until that can be established the question you ask really has no definitive answer.

I don't know if you have a belief about your topic yourself or if you're just looking for information? Here's a link that you or may not have already. Once there, go to the "Bible Studies" section :noidea:

I do not believe that salvation can be lost. However, it is very possible to lose your joy. One of the best ways to lose your joy is to begin to wonder about losing your salvation. First you wonder if you can. Then you worry if maybe you might be losing it. Then you begin to doubt that you ever had it in the first place. Instead of indulging in these distructive and unproductive thoughts, keep focused on Jesus and on the Lord's plan for your life. Stay in the middle of His grace instead of wandering out to the edge where the world awaits to distract you. Give the Lord more room and time in your life than you allow the devil to have, and the question of losing your salvation will not have to be addressed at all.

If you don't mind, please do a search on eternal security on the WBs search feature. We have only had about a gazillion debates about this, in the last 2 years that I have been on the boards. It is topic that ususally ends up with people being hateful, and really has been beaten to death. The same arguements are rehashed over and over again, and no one is ever convinced. I would suggest reading those other threads to get an idea of where some people on the boards stand.

Luke 20
35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage;
36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection
1Co 15:52
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Once you receive it. You can’t lose it.

Wouldn't this fall under "Perseverance of the Saints," in the Calvin vs. Arminius debate?
There are also a couple of other threads on this subject.
Honestly.....How many threads do we need on this subject.
