I am saying the Jewish Encyclopedia is wrong. I have found many errors in the Jewish encyclopedia. I enjoy this forum, because we discuss the bible and Jesus. Correcting false notions of Judaism gets tiring. I taught Judaism in the synagogue religious for years, before coming to Jesus. I prefer talking about Jesus. But I dislike false information being passed along. But for everyones information: Order of authority of Jewish books- Torah (five books of Moses) > Nach (Neviim/Prophets and Ketuvim/Writings) > Mishna (oral law) > Braita (more oral law but not as high in authority as the Mishna > Gemara (Rabbinical debates and commentary) > Shulchan Aruch (a summary of the Talmud with decisions of which Rabbis opinions are thought to apply) > Mishna Brurah (a commentary of the first section of the Shulchan Aruch) Some of the books are not considered as inspired but are recognized as having value since they were written by Rabbis who were considered knowledgable.  In Judaism, the Torah is the highest authority. The authority is based on the method of transmission. Moses spoke directly to God and essentially took dictation.  The next books, the Prophets and Writings are mostly the rest of the OT and are next in authority. They are considered transmitted by revelation which is not as high in authority as dictated by God to Moses. The Mishna is the oral law, supposedly given by God to Moses, who passed it on to Joshua, who passed it on to the prophets, etc. All orally. So the method of transmission is much lower then by revelation. Because it was passed on orally, by men, if the Mishna contradicts or alters the Torah, the Torah is considered to have a higher authority. The Braita is another compilation of oral law, after the Mishna. Like the Mishna, this was supposed given at Mt Sinai, and passed down from men to men. Like the Mishna, when it was recorded, they only recorded what they could remember. The Gemara is Rabbinical debates and commentary. There are a lot of opinions, and actually they tried to come up with many differing interpretation of scripture (Mosaic law and other scripture) to debate and hopefully arrive at the closest interpretation to what scripture actually meant. For the most part, the Gemara does not say which opinion is the most correct. It just records opinions, many which were contradictory to each other. It is next in authority as a learning tool written by knowledgable and educated Rabbi's.
    • Where is the 3rd Heaven?
Your reasoning is illogical God is omnipresent omnipotent transcendent. God can be in pure essence of  unsubstantiality or be a physical material substance freely. This is more than satisfactory to prove your FALSE standing. It would appear then you value your doctrine higher than scripture. He can abode far or near. A further claim you deny. As it seem incapable of God to live beyond and further than his creation Jer 23:23 "Am I only a God nearby," declares the LORD, "and not a God far away?  This is more than satisfactory to prove your FALSE standing. A God who can exist further than the universe. Given the simple fact God existed before all creation of our universe and planet....God existed in his own realm....a realm that is eternal. I am not interested in your excuses...on what you think spirit is....this does not stop the witness account of John, where on the one side spirits (angels) are in the acts of their service in administrating to God up to His wrath being poured out, compared to the priests services in the earthly temple or the objects being observed. Now if you wish to carry on this conversation....I would suggest answer my question, instead of trying every form of human reasoning to snake round it.
