2Peter3:5But they deliberately overlook the fact that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water,.....
Genesis 1:2Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
Therefore .... I conclude ....water has always existed . No place is it written God created water. It was a shore less/ border less floor. Like an infinite ocean under GOD
" GOD " who has now revealed Himself in Jesus ...in the beginning our God ....The Holy Spirit .... The WORD....
hovered over water "
By his power and word He created all things from water .
This infinite mass explains why modern science wants to predict black holes.
Of course man shall find traces of water on the planets rock is made from compressed water . Something science claims cannot be done .... But the stars and moons and planets and infinite cosmos was created by God out of water .
Sorry, I've been trained in Physics, so the uncertainty principle is easy for me to understand, but I forget that when I bring it up, people's eyes glaze over. I think both freewill and predestination are supported by scripture, so both must be true. Our brains don't easily hold on to both ideas at the same time, but I think God is perfectly able to have both be true.
1. GOD CHOOSES ACCORDING TO HIS WILL
Eph 1:4-5 - 4 just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love. 5 He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will, (NRSV)
Romans 9:15-16 - “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 So it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God who shows mercy.
Ephesians 1:11 - 11 In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to his counsel and will,
2. MAN CHOOSING TO BELIEVE
Acts 16: 29-31 - 29 The jailer called for lights, and rushing in, he fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 Then he brought them outside and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 They answered, “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
John 3:14-18 - 14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. 16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. 17 “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
Acts 10:43 - 43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”
GOD'S WAYS ARE INSCRUTABLE
Romans 11:33 - 33 O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
What you've written is within the limits of a literal translation of Genesis 1:1, no question about it. It does introduce many conflicts between science and the Biblical account. Science dates the universe as older than the Earth or its Oceans which would be frozen in the cold vacuum of space. This is not possible if God literally (as the Bible states) stretches out the heavens before Earth is formed. In this verse, we don't have details of when the Earth was formed. So we're looking at a long period of time which conflicts with the YEC Theory. Also, the stars would be dark as you state, and there would be no sun. This apparent conflict poses no problem for the Gap Theory which I've previously discussed at length.
