    • Creation and an Old Earth - One Possibility
I think I know what you are saying, but I still said something different than what you propose, because our definitions of "planet," for instance, was once called "the dry." "The dry" as you already know, simply means land or earth, and is made to appear from out of the waters (the wet). The waters may not be just tap water, but a super element, from which matter - the elements - "the dry"- land -earth - minerals, is fashioned, or appears. Before that, whatever was supposed to be in place could not be physically seen by humans. The Waters, and the Light (caused by the Word) are invisible powers. A look at these terms in other scripture texts, shows something different. See how this works with the creation account, - "The (invisible) Spirit of God moved over the (invisible) waters" God said let there be (invisible) light. God separated the waters, stretching out the upper, and gathering them together below, in order for the "dry" to appear (visible). God called it earth.    I would hardly think that God would name something He could see under the water anyway.  If we look up the word "water" or "waters," we find it used to describe what we commonly know as H20, but in some places it describes something which is something else, even in Genesis, it is called "the deep" which is another associated concept or expression. It's interesting anyhow. I'm not disagreeing with you, rather wanting to you to be in on something that has been discussed from time to time, in case you discover more on it to share.

What she posted isnt secret knowledge, but scripture, like this one John 14:21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Christ will manifest himself (to such a one).  Will that include all? No. Then will some not know about it? Yes, but we are told right? Yes, why would something of that nature be called this gnostic thing as if its an evil thing to confess Christs words similarly? Will everyone know this name here? Rev 2:17  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Will the one who receives it have more of a heads up then you (if you are not the one receiving it)? If someone said Jesus was true here, would someone try to demonize that person with the label gnostic too? I have quoted scripture before with catholics condemning them as gnostic before but there was no merit in their accusation.

Don't be worried. just for fun I googled it: there's a few sites that show it associated with a well known false prophet, and also show in Scripture what is true instead of what the false prophet says. too much to read in a short time. but it's not secret knowledge, per se.  nor apparently gnostic, whatever.

Upon returning to the faith last year, I wrestled with what version of the Bible to get back into, and think I've settled on the KJV. I like it best!

Lady Kay: I think you'll fit in very well at my Google forums; they're more user friendly than most non google sites like Facebook (a well known name but a pain in the neck). Google makes everything so easy it's laughable. You can look like a genius online by the technology (polls, music vids via youtube, etc.) and I run three (3) forums that are starting growing quickly. I need people who have a relationship with Jesus Christ but can assist those who've fallen into temptation. That is, I am much more balanced and don't get my girdle all bunched up, (using a metaphor). I know we can't reach others if we ignore our experiences which help us understand and reach others. We each have talents that God can use; He promises to use all things to His glory for those who love him and are called according to his purpose.
Why not use your background in D & D and Potter to help those who are gravitating toward Christ but need help or guidance in that direction? I'd like you to see examples of this up close and personal. That is - I have a very, very special forum ready to go live and need specially selected people for different categories or genres (of issues). For some of us, it's suicide prevention, cutting and addictions (that's one of my strengths) and for another it's rock/metal/grunge/gospel/rap music category. For another it's, "D & D" or "Occult themes" - I'm looking for specially appointed moderators for these categories....
It's time we, as believers, outta get out of our comfort zones and reach out to others who need help and guidance. In helping others we help ourselves as well. That's my thought. Anyway, I like your attitude...and would like to take you on a personalized tour of the site I have that hasn't gone *LIVE*'s about to. I have two others that are doing for teens (under 18) and one that's for adults/veterans of the US military (18 up). The one that's NOT gone live yet....(my 'baby') is very's the most important one: It's for the backslider and prodigal. I'm interested in find just the right mix of people who've experienced certain things and understand some of those darker, I'd like to talk to you if you're getting tired of the same ol' same ol' business as usual attitudes.
