Well, you know what they say(not me),,,,"they" who is "they",,,,I have no idea? LOL
It is funny that LadyKay mentioned that there are so many laws most people are probably completely unaware of & that is most likely very true but buf you ever find yourself in front of a judge you are better off to enter a plea of"no contest" rather than "not guilty" by ignorance,,,,,you will surely get a fine!!!!
What brought this to my mind, you may ask? When I first moved to Florida from NYC(over 35 yrs ago)I noticed many people drive barefooted, believe it or not,,,in New York it is "against the law" to drive a car without shoes on your feet,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,now,is that a silly law or what?
Okay, the point of my little story is,,,,,,when I was a teen I got pulled over by a policeman & he was looking for a reason to give me tickets(I was a pretty well known hot rodder about town) the police used to pull us over left & right,,,,,he looked down at my bare feet & gave me a ticket,,,,,,in court I plead "not guilty" & told the judge I didn't know it was against the law,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I learned a lesson that day, that ignorance is not an excuse!

That sounds like the Monsanto I know from personal experience. When my division started making money, they started shopping it around until they found a buyer. Over 75 people were layed off from the foreign-owned new company before they took over. Even though I saved the company 2-3 times my salary in tangible savings every year I worked there, I was laid off at age 39. Two weeks later, they were advertising for my replacement with only 2-5 years experience. I had over 15 years experience. Eventually, the new company failed and was sold off again. Monsanto only wanted companies and divisions making 20% profit. The division I helped make profitable was making a little less than 15%. That's the Monsanto I know.
