      Ok gotcha the problem pretty much lies with Esau's soup, stew or morsel of meat in a very literal sense (in his own example) as is and how it could not represent anything other than what is plain in the text (like worldly things on some other level). If I am catching this correctly, Only because here, we are warned Heb 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. Where we are reminded by the writer of Hebrews, Heb 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. My reasoning might be why would what Esau did be important to any of us if it was just a story about selling out for some soup, that only applies to him? Like, what he did only applies to soup (for us as well)? Can we sell our birthright and forfiet a blessing over a bowl of oodles of noodles soup?  I was sort of trying to take it "as is" and bring it along for us as is shown in Hebrews but then even that would sound a tad ridiculous to do there is all.   You've got the gist of it; it IS literal.  The only thing missing is the Abrahamic Covenant that God established with the grandfather  (Abraham) of these two brothers.  Esau becomes Edom (the Gentiles) even though he was the first born but sold his birthright.  Jacob becomes Israel because he has the birthright even though he was not the first born.  Coming down from Abraham, Jacob became the favored son, the leader and priest of his tribe which became Israel.  This is God establishing the populations of the earth according to His plan. These are actual people and places. You can still see it today, roughly 5500 years later.  Think of the Jews (from the line of Isaac) and muslims (from the line of Ishmael).

      indeed, sheer grace in the Messiah Yeshua. As Yahweh breathed the Scripture : even the desire to seek the Father is a gift. And also still a choice - to turn over the will to Him, to fully seek Him, always, for everything.
      ((look up "seek" if able, as in "seek the Lord" and also trust as in trust the Father ; our will is necessary and involved in His Plan and His Purpose, and all of our strength of spirit, soul, mind and body may be devoted to Him for His honor, or may be devoted to anything else instead for someone else's honor))...

      more later, Yahweh willing ((it's late night, almost midnight here)) , but this may be the main Scripture for the moment, ((not apart from, nor instead of , any or all other Scripture, but in harmony with all, as Yahweh accomplishes))....

      A Psalm of Fearless Trust in God.
      A Psalm of David.

      27 The Lord is my light and my salvation—
      Whom shall I fear?
      The Lord is the refuge and fortress of my life—
      Whom shall I dread?
      When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh,
      My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.
      Though an army encamp against me,
      My heart will not fear;
      Though war arise against me,
      Even in this I am confident.

      One thing I have asked of the Lord, and that I will seek:
      That I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life,
      To gaze upon the beauty [the delightful loveliness and majestic grandeur] of the Lord
      And to meditate in His temple.
      For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter;
      In the secret place of His tent He will hide me;
      He will lift me up on a rock.
      And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me,
      In His tent I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy;
      I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

      Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud;
      Be gracious and compassionate to me and answer me.
      When You said, “Seek My face [in prayer, require My presence as your greatest need],” my heart said to You,
      “Your face, O Lord, I will seek [on the authority of Your word].”
      Do not hide Your face from me,
      Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
      You have been my help;
      Do not abandon me nor [a]leave me,
      O God of my salvation!
      Although my father and my mother have abandoned me,
      Yet the Lord will take me up [adopt me as His child].

      Teach me Your way, O Lord,
      And lead me on a level path
      Because of my enemies [who lie in wait].
      Do not give me up to the will of my adversaries,
      For false witnesses have come against me;
      They breathe out violence.
      I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
      In the land of the living.
      Wait for and confidently expect the Lord;
      Be strong and let your heart take courage;
      Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.

      1. Psalm 27:9 Lit forsake.

        Really?  How did you arrive at this conclusion? The third Temple is to be built in Jerusalem in the near future, and Daniel's 70th week is yet future.  So there is no need for a dogmatic assertion such as the above. he Temple Institute (in Hebrew, Machon HaMikdash), founded in 1987, is a non-profit educational and religious organization located in the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem's Old City. The Institute is dedicated to every aspect of the Biblical commandment to build the Holy Temple of G-d on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. Our short-term goal is to rekindle the flame of the Holy Temple in the hearts of mankind through education. Our long-term goal is to do all in our limited power to bring about the building of the Holy Temple in our time. Thus, the Institute's efforts include raising public awareness about the Holy Temple, and the central role that it occupies in the spiritual life of mankind. The many areas of activities conducted by the Institute combine research, seminars, publications, and conferences, as well as the production of educational materials.

    • Did God Commission Solomon to Build the Temple?
      By Your closest friendnt · Posted
      Did God commission Solomon to build the Temple? The answer to this question in one word is NO. when Isaias wrote this scripture, Solomon was dead long time ago, And it's  impossible to have made this reference to anyone that was under the Law of Moses.  Because that scripture does not make any reference to been under the rule of the Mosaic Law, to the contrary it suggest that is withing a season, that is out of the Law season. It does not say that, together with keeping, and be perfect under the law, in addition to this I Whould bless only the man with a poor spirit and a contried heart.  It says; that I will look to the man, (but what man, is he tauking about, and it is singural form, and this man will have my word, and what his word  is about,  And he said all that, after a season, when the Temple was shut down for a season and the idols where in Jerusalem, and many of people who were right in their heart , were shut out of the Lord,  Here it seems he is tauking of a season that is not known to them. A season without the need of this Kind of Temple, that the Lord can judge every one Individualy, and what is that here my voice, or having my word in him, it sounds The New Covenant season, Holy Spirit season. When all the other times, he is saying keep the commandments written in the book of the Law.

      Since the topic steered into a convo about the death penalty...IMHO, the DP should be banned in the U.S. And anywhere else, really. It is not an act of justice, even for those who are rightfully convicted. Eye for an eye and the world is blind - Gandhi Ok...back to the OT. Just tossing my two cents in.

      Look at that house  It looks like they are Muslim? A dispute between a husband and his doctor wife has left him outside, sleeping and living in the yard of his million dollar mansion. According to the police, it’s been going on for the last six months and Sharafat Khan has been forced to live outdoors on and off during that time. Neighbors are very worried because he is elderly, in poor health and in a fragile state. "He’s wearing the same clothing, it’s dirty,” neighbor Debbie Scoggins said. “He has no bathroom facilities, no shoes." "The weather is starting to get colder,” Laurel Stout, who lives across the street, said. "He’s very frail, he can’t even walk. I’m afraid he is going to die out here in his yard." Khan told KPRC 2 his wife kicked him out of the house several months ago, took away his keys and had the locks changed. He said he doesn’t have access to their money and is basically homeless even though he owns half of their mansion. Khan doesn’t feel like he should have to leave because the home and property are just as much his. He said he wants to be allowed inside and he’s hoping he can pressure her into changing her mind. "She doesn’t want me to have any sort of comfort," he said. Night after night he sleeps on the front porch wrapped in a sheet. During the day he tries to find shade under the trees. On Monday he was eating saltine crackers and drinking a warm bottle of water.

      Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. "Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
