Umm   no that's not what Paul said. Paul was speaking to believers of believers in a community of believers.  This has nothing to do with what we are talking about in this thread. And Paul never advocated that they should be starved.
    • Pre Great, Mid 70th Week, Post Believer's TRIB
      By ghtan · Posted
Falling away within Christendom is hardly anything new. It was what spurred the Reformation but we know the rapture did not happen then. I am not pretrib but I thought the trigger event for pre-trib would be the unveiling of the antichrist. Don't pretrib believe that the church would be raptured before the antichrist is unveiled? Or is it only some pretrib that think so?

MorningGlory: I'm seldom wrong when it comes to zeroing in on lies and I'm very much aware of the post-a-million-words strategy used by people like you to shield things from the moderators and the claims of being scholars which simply aren't true.  It's never worked yet. .......... ------------------------------------------------------------------ WorldWideNews: The rcc doctrines and practices and teachings that are false continue to be used and taught by them.   Protestant churches that have departed from the Truth have joined them in creating the apostate one world church, along with mormons, isis, muslims, and various cults all over the world. It is all deception.  God's Word is the Truth. >>   " Shiloh357> The RCC has a history of being a murderous cult.  Despite some Catholics who have done humanitarian services, the RCC has a long history of persecuting and murdering Jews and anyone else who wasn't Catholic.  Even some of the Popes murdered their way into the Papacy (so much for apostolic succession)."
    • Did Paul have a choice to live or die?

My veiws concerning these matters are still forthcoming.  I once lived selfishly seeking to build my kingdom here upon the earth and I was in constant fear of losing everything.  Then I began to let go of my little plans and designs and seek the kingdom of heaven and his righteousness.  More and more things became apparent to me.  I heard Jesus say that no one could take his life from him but rather he would lay it down.  Then I watched as he sealed his fate in the garden when he prayed to save his own life 3 times.  After that no one could save him.  Before that no one could kill him.  They tried but failed.   In the OT we were taught about men who fought and could not be killed until sin was in there midst.  We were shown the example of Job who Satan was told that he could not kill him.  Even David killed a bear and lion with his bare hands.  Sampson 1000 men with the jawbone of an ass.  We saw how the LORD kept David alive from all his enemies including Saul. Is it possible that Paul knew enough to know that he had a choice in how and when he might offer himself up unto God?  I believe so.  Studying this subject has helped me to grow stronger in the faith and walk with confidence in questionable situations.  Do we really believe God saved Hannaniah, Azariah and Micha'el?  Do we really believe he saved Daniel?  Everyday I believe more than the day before.  God has delievered me from my enemies more than once.  I try to remember one thing and that is do not twmpt the Lord thy God! Peace and blessings.

    • Should Christians charge for services rendered?
      By shiloh357 · Posted
You could offer services to others for free if you are being sponsored by someone else.  If you can get others to underwrite your expenses, then it would be possible to offers services for free.    Now if these services represent your vocation and how you make a living and pay bills, that is different.   I would not offer services to those unable to pay for them if those services are the means by which I pay rent, and other necessary bills.

The answer is dependent upon the heart of the individual concerning any sin they have committed.  2Co 7:10For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh deathIs she aware of her sin in this?  Is she sorrowful?  Is it godly sorrow or worldly? To accept an unrepentant sinner who boasts in their sin is to do them harm.  We cannot enable those within our midst to continue in sin but rather are commanded to reprove them instead.  We are to be sensible, tactful, considerate and humble yet careful to care for rather than beat the sheep.  It is a delicate matter indeed. I work with some very disturbed individuals in my ministry work.  A lot of them are Romans chapter one reprobates as I once was.  Each one needs to be brought to a place of repentance and brokenness without being destroyed in tge process.  My experience has taught me that many of them understand that they are wicked and have tried to change but found they could not.  God had given them over to their sin.  They honestly tried to change and cannot so therefore began to deceive themselves further by blame shifting everything to that which is outside of them.  When they knew God they did not honor him as God but God so loved them he has sent his messangers to minister to their needs and help them see their need for repentance.   We labor night and day planting and watering travailing in birth till Christ be formed in them. Thanks for the topic.
