    • Vietnamese pastor's wife mistreated, beaten
By Joseph DeCaro, Worthy News Correspondent (Worthy News) - Earlier this month, the wife of an imprisoned pastor suffered severe mistreatment at the hands of Vietnamese authorities. According to Barnabas Aid, Tran Thi Hong's mistreatment was part of a pattern of official harassment against both her and her husband, Pastor Nguyen Cong Chinh -- a religious freedom activist who was jailed in 2012 for having "colluded with foreign reactionaries" to accuse Vietnam of suppressing religious freedom. On May 11, Hong was questioned about her contacts with foreign media as well as her "illegal" Lutheran faith. Hong had been previously "questioned" by security agents for three hours concerning a meeting she had with the U.S. Ambassador-at-Large on International Religious Freedom in March. The interrogation left Hong with injuries to her head, legs, feet and hands. Vietnamese police had prepared a statement for Hong to sign claiming that she knew it was illegal for her to meet with the ambassador. When Hong refused to sign it, four female police officers physically abused her for hours. What was left of Hong was released later that same day. No related posts. View the full article
    • Where does the city of Atlantis, fit in with the FLOOD ?
Not the way you think.  Peter is writing in Greek.   He is not drawing from Greek mythology the way you seem to be implying.   Peter is simply using a word in Greek.  He is not appealing to the theology of Greek mythology.   Paul uses the Greek word for "saint"  even though that word was originally used for worshippers of the pagan Greek gods.  The word, Baptism originally came out of pagan culture.    These things do not mean that the biblical writers were in any way backing up or appealing to Greek mythology.   They used words that the audience was familiar with but adapted them to communicate biblical truth.

Although I agree with this, it is also one of the (many) issues I have with the idea of an eternal hell. If children are not 'guilty' and therefore do not go to hell, then surely we would all be better off dying as children. In fact, infant death would be a blessing as you go straight to heaven, don't have to have the issues of this life to deal with and gain eternal life in heaven. Why risk reaching an 'age of accountability', where your fate may be eternal damnation in a fiery hell? And what of this age of accountability? When does someone stop becoming a child? What if someone was not 'accountable' and then the next day they where, and then died in a car crash? Are they now 'guilty'? If you say God will understand and be merciful, then why not two days? A week? A month? A year?...and so on.
