InterestsI love all types of music. I am a musician and play in local coffee shops and churches. I like to read, cook, and be around my family and friends.

Jesus Christ is the most important person in my life. Without Him I would be dead.
I am for all forms of worship that are in spirit and truth to the Lord. Hardcore music is not my preference. I used to listen to heavy music, but over time my tastes have changed (a lot of it has to do my playing style. I play guitar). I used to have electric guitars and loud amps with all the kinds of effect. Overtime that changed.
After saying that. Here is an observance of mine. Some who are against heavy music to the Lord merely do not like that type of music. One should not decide what is pleasing to God
Joh 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Oh my dear sister I would not mock God (at least not knowingly). Jesus is very much the center of my life. "You say we do not have to imitate the world".
I say we MUST not.
Yes sometimes scripture is taken out of context. That is a fact.
You say "It seems I do not see beyond what is being said".
Please enlighten me.
I say if someone wants to worship the Lord with an electric guitar, then by all means crank it up. I am a musician I write and play contemporary Christian music. I have had people tell me that God did not
Rev 2:12 "To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: "This is the message from the one who has the sharp two-edged sword.
Rev 2:13 I know where you live, there where Satan has his throne. You are true to me, and you did not abandon your faith in me even during the time when Antipas, my faithful witness, was killed there where Satan lives.
Rev 2:14 But there are a few things I have against you: there are some among you who follow the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak how to lead the people of Israel into sin by persuading them to eat food that had been offered to idols and to practice sexual immorality.
Rev 2:15 In the same way you have people among you who follow the teaching of the Nicolaitans.
Rev 2:16 Now turn from your sins! If you don't, I will come to you soon and fight against those people with the sword that comes out of my mouth.
Rev 2:17 "If you have ears, then, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches! "To those who win the victory I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give each of them a white stone on which is written a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.
Repentance is key.
In the seven letters to the churches there is a definate theme... Repentant.
Isa 30:32 As the LORD strikes them again and again, his people will keep time with the music of drums and harps. God himself will fight against the Assyrians.
This music mentioned here, is it love songs or war marches?
Luk 7:32 They are like children sitting in the marketplace. One group shouts to the other, 'We played wedding music for you, but you wouldn't dance! We sang funeral songs, but you wouldn't cry!'
Luk 7:33 John the Baptist came, and he fasted and drank no wine, and you said, 'He has a demon in him!'
Luk 7:34 The Son of Man came, and he ate and drank, and you said, 'Look at this man! He is a glutton and wine drinker, a friend of tax collectors and other outcasts!'
Luk 7:35 God's wisdom, however, is shown to be true by all who accept it."
Mat 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will go into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the pleasure of my Father in heaven.
Mat 7:22 A great number will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, were we not prophets in your name, and did we not by your name send out evil spirits, and by your name do works of power?
1Ti 4:4 Because everything which God has made is good, and nothing is evil, if it is taken with praise:
1Ti 4:5 For it is made holy by the word of God and by prayer.
1Ti 4:6 If you keep these things before the minds of the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, trained in the words of the faith and of the right teaching which has been your guide:
1Ti 4:7 But have nothing to do with unclean and foolish stories. Give yourself training in religion:
Mat 12:43 "When an evil spirit goes out of a person, it travels over dry country looking for a place to rest. If it can't find one,
Mat 12:44 it says to itself, 'I will go back to my house.' So it goes back and finds the house empty, clean, and all fixed up.
Mat 12:45 Then it goes out and brings along seven other spirits even worse than itself, and they come and live there. So when it is all over, that person is in worse shape than at the beginning. This is what will happen to the evil people of this day."
