For those who would read the article, it was simply reflecting that Dr. OZ does commonly promote "Reiki" as a top of the list alternative in his health plan.

Referring to the "Daniel Plan" that Dr Oz, Dr. Hyman, Dr. Amen participated in:
"The Bible says that God wants us to be as healthy physically as you are spiritually, Warren said… ‘This is God’s prescription for your health.” -Rick Warren

I have just re-read all posts on this topic including the link, and saw nothing of his directly teaching Reiki at Saddleback.
But it should be painfully obvious that Reiki is indeed one of Dr. Oz's primary beliefs, that some of his mindset would more than bleed over into what is being taught at Saddleback.

Reiki is nothing more than Satan and his demons at work through his New Age form of "doctors."
It does not stop with doctors, many nurses (I know of one personally) are being taught many New Age techniques as well.
We also have a number of holistic "Reiki" practitioners in our area...

Reiki is witchcraft.

"Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese name consisting of 2 words Rei and Ki meaning spiritually guided life energy (commonly known as Universal Life Energy), an energy which animates us all and is found all around us.
Reiki is a form of spiritual healing using "universal life energy" channeled through the practitioner to the recipient.
Reiki helps to harmonize body, mind and spirit for yourself or anyone you want to help. "

Would any here truly want a "modern day" Witch doctor/Shaman like Dr. Oz preaching in their church?

GOD FORBID.

These are just facts on this wicked man.
A man who is working with Rick Warren and "his" health plan, where I equally don't see a mob, slander, lies,or bias. Just facts.

We as Christians should not care that Dr. OZ has 3.5 million viewers, with his undergraduate degree from Harvard, has an MD, MBA, vice chairman of surgery at Columbia, director of the Cardiovascular Int, that he founded a complementary medicine program at NY Presbyterian hospital, or that he authored six NY Times best seller books.

All of this means nothing to God who sees him promoting "Reiki" and other forms of New Age witchcraft that is forbidden by God Himself.
Born in Ohio, Dr. Oz sides with some of his Turkish parents mindset in his upbringing, although he seems to attempt to distance himself from being called "A Muslim."
Dr. Oz's wife Lisa is also a "Reiki master."
Along with a sidekick that accompanies him on TV and in the surgery room, Pamela Miles. Another "Reiki master."

“Try Reiki. This alternative medicine treatment can manipulate your energy and cure what ails you.”
- Dr. Mehmet Oz

“You have the power to change your life this year. Start by using one of these tips a day and see a difference.”
- Dr. Mehmet Oz (Dr. Oz is including Reiki, mud baths, aromatherapy, yoga, and cupping in this statement.)

New Age teachers like Dr. Oz never come into the mix with God, much less any of Rick Warren's take on the Daniel of the Bible, coming up with "his Daniel Plan" that consisted of these three ungodly men, Drs' Oz, Hyman, and Amen.

The Daniel of the Bible was a man of no compromise. He ended up going into a lions den for his correct belief in the Almighty, and God delivered him.
With the false "Daniel" that Rick Warren came up with in his plan, suffice to say, this is not the Daniel of the Gospel...

It is good to be honest. Isn't that word, 'but' hard to say sometimes? I hope you know that it means that everything said before it is negated.

2Ti 2:15-19
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

In so doing the above we can all grow in our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ.

It's so sad to see Rick how Warren have gone so much for "The New Age".
It looks like it's a combination of people who we watch daily on the TV who are used in a powerful way to decieve us,I was reading this afternoon a ad for the book "The healing code" what's next?

As Christians we have to be so careful how we live in this world who is going farther away from God every day-----

I like watching Dr Oz occasionally. I never really put 2 & 2 together. I may watch with a more discerning eye next time. I know I sure don't miss Oprah, I had stopped watching her quite a few yrs ago. Posted Image

These days Christians are so worldly they do not know what is right or wrong. We have churches out there that let so much of the secular world in can't tell the church from the country club. Why then should we watch stuff that has no Christian value at all? I tried to teach my children that if you put nothing in you get nothing out. If you put evil in then you get evil out.I have nothing against TV or Dr.Oz and I do realize that many older women really like him. There are many religions (cults) that do believe there is only natural medicine. Natural medicine is just that medicine and in the wrong hands it is very dangerous. Just as prescription drugs are dangerous in the wrong hands.

I think we need to be very careful of all media that we allow ourselves to watch listen to etc. God bless you all in the Name of Jesus. I think this is what Jesus meant by "Be in the world but not be of it"

I see how Dr Oz is allowing many occultish things enter into the health arena, and it seems that weak women are lapping it up like crazy. Just this past week he had that woman from TLC on the show, the Long Island Medium, who supposedly speaks to the dead. She made a fool of herself speaking to demons, left right and center, offering false comfort and lies to the world. Yes, I watched it but with a discerning eye. I have not too much respect for Oz, a Harpo puppet, other than the fact he is a good cardiologist, but as an unsaved man, he lacks spiritual scruples concerning what he discusses on his show. All we can do is be discerning about what we allow ourselves to take in---and pray.

Do you think that Dr Oz could be used by ushering in New World Order? Could he be a building block?

The devil will use anyone who is open to his mealy-mouthed suggestions. We must put things in perspective---Oz's show is only one single little American TV show. I think it is only symptomatic of the rampant humanism in the country today. It's a mirror.

The NWO is a massive machine that will come upon the unsaved world.

Still trying not to take this personally. I obviously have not seen this show as much as you all have.

A born-again Christian cannot be possessed by a demon.

I had been a born again Christian for about 16 years or so when I had to have deliverance of a demon. I know another sweet believer who had known the Lord for 10 years and was delivered of four demons. We mustn't quibble over the words 'possession' or 'oppression'. It happens and it's a terrible situation, and a misery, and deliverance is going on in Christians' lives every day.

Now as for Dr. Oz---he is a definite fearmonger.

I too....when I became a born again christian ....I had to be delivered from a demonic spirit.
That thing liked to kill me.
That demonic spirit was a tranferance from a catholic priest that laid hands on me to put oil on my forehead.
He was in sin , evedently and that evil spirit entered me.

Years went by...and I attended a non-denominal church and decided to renew myself with God.
I was going through tough times and asked the Lord jesus to come into my heart , and life...that was in 1999.
When I began to stick with the Lord ... stayed with the non- denominatioal church. Kept in the word, go to bible study
classes, went to church again every Sunday.

Well , all I can explain is this about the Lord ...
Once the Holy Spirit of God enters your body ....HE gets out any demons that are inside of you.

As Cobolt said... there is no room for demons and the Holy Spirit to dwell inside of you.
God makes His dwelling place clean...for His holy Spirit to dwell...in you. It becomes His Temple.
In other words ...the Holy Spirit of God... kicks the demons out !

Jesus came to set the captives free...
and, in Gods word He says....not by power , not by might , but, by My Spirit says the Lord .

How I knew that demon came from that Priest? ...Because , once the Pastor and prayer group casted the demon out of me...
I kept seeing the priests' face but,it was mean looking ...and, he had horns that curled back just like a ram. It stayed there above me for 3 days after.
I was bed ridden with exaustion ...that demon almost killed me , I was so weak. ..for 3 days. My ex-husband, had to do for me to gain back my strength.
The Pastor came by and said, ...read this small pamplet with scripture verses in it... you need the word in you.
That was to keep the word of God in me... it is healing to my mind and body.

Laying on of hands ? I found out that , be careful who lays hands on you.
A christian person , needs to confess their sins to the Lord privately, before praying , and laying of their hands on people.

I agree, but what if we unknowingly of this fact get involved lets say in Reiki thinking it can't be that bad, would the Holy Spirit prevent these demons to enter us?

How can a demon and the Holy Spirit occupy the same place? A demon 'entering' you would mean you are possessed. A believer who unknowingly or unwisely dabbles in occultic practices can most certainly be oppressed by seducing spirits, but they cannot be indwelt by them unless they willingly surrender the presence of the Holy Spirit. Being oppressed means that the demonic powers are working on one from the outside, not from within.

A demon cannot enter someone who has the Holy Spirit in them. They can however attack from the outside. The scripture says to resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Wow! Thank you for sharing your story! I can't even imagine what you went through! I too had demonic activity around me. I had a demon that was causing all sorts of depression and suicidal thoughts, I was oppressed, but not possessed yet. I am sure I would have been eventually because of all the crazy stuff I was into. I was getting deep into the occult. But right when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and saviour it left immediately! Like in an instant! No more meds ever again! It was wierd, I went from feeling weighed down and in a dark fog to feeling light and at peace in an instant! Praise be to God! And thank God there are so many wonderful people on here with such great testimonies of their own! I love reading them!

Shalom

I have to admit , I do like to watch the Dr Oz show, its sometimes a little much how much all the women seem to like him but the show is interesting, what I did realize is that so many Christians are watching Dr Oz and I wonder how easy it is to get sucked in by cults? I came across this website on the net and I think it should be a eyeopener how careful we as Christians should be ,we hear and see so much these days and everything is openly discussed but do we test the spirits?

Do we realize how easy it is for demons to eneter our bodies??

I think it is very easy to get sucked into anything that is very popular now.Satan lingers where the most people are.We need to examine everything we do,watch on television or read.
