The Truth About Grace
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. Hebrews 12:28
Grace is given so that we might serve God in a right manner. In a way that is pleasing to Him.
Grace teaches us righteousness.
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, Titus 2:11-12
Grace is given for obedience to the faith.
Romans 1:5 Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name,
Grace is given to the humble and not the proud.
James 4:6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
1 Peter 5:5...........and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
Grace comes through Jesus.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Let us not insult the Spirit of Grace (Hebrews 10:29).......let us not turn the grace of God into something else....(Jude 1:4), but let us walk acceptably before God the Father. Let us be taught by grace, so that we will deny ungodliness. Let us take hold of the power of grace that Jesus Christ so willingly gave us!
In His Love,
