I actually enjoy reading...just not so much being told what to read.

I have always loved reading.

I think the knack is to have two books on the go.

One that has been given to you to read for school and one that you choose on your own.

Books open up a new world to us as we mature.

Just remember to read the right ones.

Lots of good books out there but also a lot of junk.

Also maybe its time to start a small diary of what you read and your comments and thoughts on them .

It will make fascinating reading later on in life when you look back.

Recently I've been yearning to go back to a book I read in High School: To Kill a Mockingbird".

It's been about 10+ years, but it was one of my favorites that was a mandatory read at the time. Back then I hated being forced to read as a teenager, obviously. But now I'm on the prowl to find that book and give it a another go-around.

I have that one on my bookshelf, have read it a couple times. It's a classic.

Today I got the first four books in the Lost series by Ted Dekker. It's about Thomas Hunter and the Forest Guard that the circle trilogy was about.

I liked the Circle series by Ted Dekker.I did not like his other stuff because it was too dark for me.

Books that are given as a loving present and not asked for  but rather left on our bed by a loving father are all the more precious to us.

You have a great mum and dad who love you.

Enjoy them.

I have just finished the second book of the Game of Thrones series. I like fantasy, even if it is a bit dark. Once I started on Game of Thrones I could not put them down.

Also still reading Church Unique at the same time - a management book on how a church should be guided (it is full of the Holy Spirit and an excellent reference)

I'm in a program called "Blogging for Books", where you get books from the publisher in exchange for your reviews-- it's a great program! My current read is The Pursuit of Tamsen Littlejohn by Lori Benton. Also making my way through a random assortment of books (yeah, I'm not really a 'one-book-at-a-time' kind of gal), such as The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Must We Sin? by Howard Sweeten. All good books.

I'm almost done with Watership Down by Richard Adams :)

wow! what an awesome book. the movie they made from it was good, too, but as with most movies, it couldn't even compare. of course, how can you condense a 500 page or so book into 2 hours, right? oh man, i should read that again. i was in high school the last three times i read it :)
