bullying is a fact of life. it's existed as long as the human race has existed. if schools (and parents) really want to teach their kids how to not be bullied, they should...
instill in their child a strong sense of self worth. kids don't pick on kids who are self confident.
get their kids into martial arts of some sort. kids won't beat on kids who could whoop their tail.
above all else, teach their child to pray. not just prayers of self preservation, but prayers that God would bless the bullies and draw them to Christ.
i know, that sounds like a tall order for kids to grasp. but i remember when i was a kid. the only girl in my neighborhood was a mean little brat, two years older than me. but she was the only friend i had. it was a true love/hate relationship. i'll never forget one day before i went over to play with her, i prayed for her. i couldn't have been more than about 6 years old. i prayed that God would make her be nice to me. and sure enough, He answered my prayer! and then i got so excited that i TOLD my friend why she was being nice to me... well, that ended that. the rest of the day she was her mean old self again.
