It is one book that I have wondered why it is in the Bible. It is one book that those who are not born again can understand because it is fleshly. But it does show how low a person can go and how disillusianed they can become without God in their life. Perhaps it is there to show us what not to do.

Is all scripture eqaully God's word,or some part, such as Jesus talking more important, any way i ask this question base on what a very good friend of mine told me,he is an active christian,he told me that solomon wrote,Ecclesiastes 10:19" in a party,a feast is made for laughter;and wine maketh merry:but money answereth all things" he said that money can take someone around the world, but money can't take someone to heaven,he said that God's said" It shall be well with the righteous, what do you think about Ecclesiastes,10:19"
Your friend was saying that God cannot be bought with a bribe. On earth money talks, but in heaven it has no voice at all. Neither does it speak in the grave.
God's kindness toward the saved does not include globe trotting vacations, expensive possessions or public fame, but it does include His personal attention. Those things may come, but they are not foremost upon God's heart. That which is most important to the Most High is a humble spirit and a heart that is willing to accept those things which belong to God and those things which God has given in love.
God doesn't have to give anything to anybody. Will a man stand up on his legs of flesh (which will fail him in 70 or 80 years) and shake his hand in the face of the Eternal and demand his rights? Man has no rights with God and man cannot buy favor by any deed of his own.
It may work wonders in the halls of government politics*, but it doesn't work in heaven.
What hope then do we have? Our hope is in unmerited favor. It's called grace and it's freely given because Christ died on the cross for our sins.
We have only to accept Him in the name of Jesus and He will accept us. Faith in what God has done, not our own deeds, is the Biblical basis for righteousness.
If you would please God, believe in Him.
and that's just me, hollering from the choir loft....
(*) The abnormal politics of American government excepted.

2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Peter 1:20-21 (NIV)
20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation.
21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
God-breathed is a play on words in that the wind or the breath and the spirit have similar linguistic beginnings in Hebrew and Greek. Ruach in Hebrew and pneuma in Greek.
If a passage stumps you (hard to understand) ask the Holy Spirit to show you.
John 16:13 (NIV)
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

All scripture is God breathed but not all scriptures are to be taken as equal. There are examples of errors people made...we should not make these. Peter lied, the lesson is we do not need to lie and that God has grace for the humble and contrite heart. A soft answer turns away wrath is a wise precept but not a law. It is the best general principle for how we should approach dispute but sometimes it may not still a persons wrath...so we have laws, precepts, ordinances, warnings, examples, etc., but all are applicable to those who love God and seek God and even more so to His children by grace through faith. There are three that are the truth in the word of God. Christ, the Word made flesh, who is the way the truth and the life (John 14:6), the word of God spoken and written (John 17:17), and the Spirit of Truth who leads us and guides us into all truth (John 16:13) And these three are one...
We are sanctified by Christ...who by His selfless sacrificial act of love set us apart, making us new creatures in Him
We are sanctified through the word...by which we see ourselves as in a mirror (though still only dimly) for instruction, growth, and correction in righteousness
We are sanctified in the Spirit...who allows us, being in us, to see in that mirror more clearly, and by it convicts us of sin, righteousness, and judgment
All scripture are Theopneustos graphae...the writings not the writers are what Paul speaks of here!
Does this make sense? It just sort of came to me...maybe I am missing something important...
