A page from a Little Book I wrote (with help from a friend)
hope you enjoy
Our soul is like a seed given us by God to attend and care for. As with any seed it must be supplied with water and proper nutrients. The water is provided by Tears in truthful repentance and Sweat in good works and deeds. The nutrients(food) are the words of God... they have great value in the proper growth of our seed. Once our seed sprouts it must have Light(God's Truth) to grow. The Light is provided in increasing illumination and value as we peel back the foolish flesh(not hiding from Truth but, growing in the Light). Tend the garden by keeping the weeds(foolish flesh desires) out, as the weeds rob us of our food and can crowd out the Light. Water it as often as you can(no such thing as over watering this seed), strive to get as much Light on it as you can. One day after some perseverance it will grow to the point where you will clearly see the wonderful creation God intends you to be.
Moral of the story --- Tears(in honest repentance) and Sweat(bearing others burdens in good works, and deeds) are both salty and they come from earth(our flesh).Tears and Sweat are both clear but, in Light they can produce a rainbow(much like a prism) as in our promise back to God, the two rainbows joined, one from the heavens down, and one from the earth up, forming a perfect circle, and as all circles it has no beginning or end. Could this be the Salt that is savory before God? Could this be a baptism originating from the inside cleaning the outside, as opposed to an outside cleaning of the inside? The cup now clean inside and out ... should we not praise God for his housekeeping wonders?
