Matthew 18:6-7 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!

I happen to believe...raping a child in the house of God in the name of Jesus is a unforgivable sin...blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.. one thing for a heathen to rape a child...but to be a priest...i don't know how much worse you can be...obviously no fear of Jesus...

Revelation 14:10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.

Jesus has authority over hell and he doesn't have problems observing torture to the guilty.

Another reason everybody should take their faith with him with some fear and trembling.

Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

These poor innocent child victims might not get justice in this world like they should but they will get justice...vengeance is The Lord Jesus.

From the link:

Vatican ‘systematically’ allowed priests to rape children, says UN report In a devastating report, the UN committee also severely criticized the Holy See for its attitudes toward homosexuality, contraception and abortion.

They are quite right to point out the atrocities involving the child abuse, but I can see the Pope being forced to accept homosexuality and abortion too. There's more to this than meets the eye, I think. By discrediting Catholicism, they're trying to discredit Christianity and I can see the Pope being shamed into accepting more liberal policies as a result of the child abuse scandal.

What made me sad was watching a Catholic apologist on TV defending the Vatican by saying that in the last few years the Pope had dismissed over 400 priests.

The sad thing was that he stated it like it was an achievement, a step forward.

It's sad that what he was doing was justifying what has happened/ is happening as if saying it's Ok we have it under control. When it should never have happened in the first place.

One bad priest is one too many.

yes, we had the preacher in a Nazarene church in Oklahoma City that was doing such things.....   it really rocked us back when it came out.....   however it was not covered up and the guy went to jail over it......     but the abuse does happen randomly in most organizations....

There are also similar stories many little nuns could tell you; it's always the weaker that are victimized, and who are people going to believe - one little nun or the Popus Maximus or whatever he is?  Atrocious.
