No one is in hell right now.Hell is empty. The unbelievers are in Hades awaiting their judgment. All the unbelievers that go through the Great White Throne judgment will be thrown into hell.

What do you think death and hell mean?

Hades is the greek word for hell.  its the same thing.  in revelations it says hell/hades is cast into the lake of fire after Great White Throne Judgement.

Rev_20:14  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Blessings Cletus!

I do not believe we have had the pleasure?Welcome to Worthy(better late than never-lol) It is true that Hades is defined as the place of the dead, the underworld or"hell" & then some refer to "hell" as the Lake of Fire........in any case it all will inevitably lead to eternal torment in fire & brimstone, outer darkness, out of the Presence of God........

That place across the cistern from the place where Abraham is,is what I suppose we are referring to here as hades/hell? I have no idea who is there, probably alot of people we would & would not expect to be?

Honestly,by the looks of the pictures on the 2 videos in the OP,I didn't have any desire to see what they were about but as far as "death",,,,,there is a physical & a spiritual death and I don't really thin anyone does njot know what that means,do they?

Yes,hades is now full of unbelievers.Hell is empty right now but will have a huge occupancy after the White Throne judgment.

aaah yes. another age old debate of hades/hell. My question is, does it really matter? Once we die, if we dont have Christ in our hearts were seperated from God forever-does it really matter if that soul is in hell or some intermediary place? They both sound like hell to me-pardon the expression.

Hades is the waitingroom for hell. They are different yet the same because it is a place for the unbelievers. When people are called up from hades to stand before their judgment then that is when they are thrown into the lake of fire or hell.

The confusion lies within the word hell. The word hell is just a metaphor to describe the bad places after death. Like for example, you described Hades and the Lake of fire in this sentence as hell, thus the metaphor. To simplify things, you could also describe hell as separation from God. Separation from God describes Sheol/Hades/Gehenna/Lake of Fire/Hell. Blessings, DRS81
