Very Simple And Very Elementary!

Here is what they say....

If you are trying to make yourselves
right with God by keeping the law,
you have been cut off from Christ!
You have fallen away from God’s grace.

Love the legalistic, hate the legalism...

"Legalism kills more congregations and
stops more individual spiritual development
than sin does..."

THE TRUTH IS....
All Christians are under the commandments of Jesus Christ!
To be RIGHT with God...
you have to obey ALL the commandments of Jesus Christ!
To reject the commandments of Jesus Christ, is to reject Jesus.
The commandments of Jesus Christ...The Word made flesh...
the words of eternal life...is the only way to God.

To reject the commandments of Jesus Christ
is to reject Christ the Son of the Living God.

John 6:28-29
Jesus answered, "The work of God is this:
to believe in the one he has sent."

To believe Jesus(the one God sent) is to
obey His commandments. This is the work
of God. If you do not believe Jesus(the one God sent)...
you will disregard and not obey the
commandments of Jesus Christ.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord,
shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he
that doeth the will of my Father
which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord,
have we not prophesied in thy name? and in
thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name
done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matt. 7:21-23

It's obvious these "many" people believed in the Lord,
it's also obvious they believed they were saved. So how
is it the Lord said, "depart from me?" The Lord has
condemned them to hell.

The Lord says "I never knew you." How is that possible?

This really is easy to understand. And elementary.

You have 2 people.

One is OBEYING the commandments of Jesus Christ.

One is DISOBEYING the commandments of Jesus Christ.

Which one is Jesus going to say depart from me,
ye that work iniquity?

I will give you 1 guess.

Now the devil is going to tell you....

why you do not or have to obey the
commandments of Jesus Christ
to be saved)

But the truth is....

the devil is going to tell you anything but the fact
that you have to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ
to be in Christ, which is what you have to
do to be right with God.

Simple as that!

very elementary!

There is GOOD works and there is EVIL works.
Does God reward you for doing GOOD works?
Yes or No

What does God reward you for doing GOOD works?
Blessings or Curses

Does God punish or reward you for doing evil works?
Yes or No

What does God reward you for doing evil works?
Blessings or Punishment(curses)

Does it please God for you to do GOOD works?
Yes or No

What does God reward you with
when you please Him by doing GOOD works?
Blessings or Curses

Does it please God for you to do evil works?
Yes or No

What does God reward you with
when you displease Him by doing Evil works?
Blessings or Punishment(curses)

Timespan, first and foremost, welcome to Worthy. Your post has many good points to ponder... All fine and well. You appear eager for our debate and doctrinal forums. However, this is an introductory forum. We'd like to get to know you, tell us a little bit about yourself, feel at home and let's become acquainted. A plain and simple block or paragraphic post, is perfectly acceptable. Scrolling is rather chaotic... Some of us have visual difficulties. You needn't be repetitive, to make your point of view. You are clearly understood. Enjoy your stay and again, welcome.

God bless you!

Welcome to Worthy.

When you get enough posts(5), I suggest you post this in Doctrinal Questions. As BeauJangles has stated, this is the Welcome forum. Most come here simply to greet and be greeted. Many who are looking to discuss topics such as the one you've posted above simply aren't going to see this post.

Blessings

Matthew 22:37-40

Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Welcome Timespan. There are a few here who might agree with you and a few who feel you might not be completely on the bulls eye.

It will be interesting to discuss this with you.

Blessings,

Willa

Not sure where you are going with this, but we are not under the law, but under grace, yet, Jesus did not come to abolish the law, but fulfill them.  What I posted was to show that if we follow the two commandments, we will fulfill all the Law and the Prophets, as Jesus stated.  Unfortunately, we are not perfect and will fail from time to time, which is why Christ died for us.

The law of Grace?

Very Simple

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:7-10

And Very Elementary!

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Romans 3:36-28

The law of Grace?

I remember hearing this a very long time ago, but have forgotten the definition I was told.  Today, I see grace as a gift, not a law that could be broken.  Can you explain your definition of the law of Grace?  How does this term line up with scripture?

Romans 6:14

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Welcome, Timespan: Gal 2: "16 yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 17 But if, while we sought to be justified in Christ, we ourselves also were found sinners, is Christ a minister of sin? God forbid. 18 For if I build up again those things which I destroyed, I prove myself a transgressor. 19 For I through the law died unto the law, that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me. 21 I do not make void the grace of God: for if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nought." "5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, wrought in our members to bring forth fruit to death. 6 But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that wherein we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter. " Romans 7 7   What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Let it not be so. Howbeit, I had not known sin, except through the law: for I had not known coveting, except the law had said, You shall not covet: 8 but sin, finding occasion, wrought in me through the commandment all manner of coveting: for apart fromthe law sin is dead. 9 And I was alive apart from the law once: but WHEN THE COMMANDMENT CAME, SIN REVIVED, AND I DIED; 10 and the commandment, which was to life, this I found to be to death."

John 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you,

That ye love one another; as I have loved you,

that ye also love one another.

Yes, it is true that love is the greatest of all, but love never replaces wisdom or discernment, everything God gives works as one, together, to bring about His will.

I would love to respond to this, but as I've read above, shouldn't it be posted elsewhere?  It seems we are getting the ball rolling down the wrong hill.  Let's find another....WAIT.  Now I am confused.  Did the entire thread get transferred to Doctrine?!  A little warning guys!
