Welcome to Worthy evan.We have to be careful so that we do not serve God only in our area we feel that we have been gifted. We are to serve God in all things.Other people may see our Spiritual gift in us before we do.

By using them. It really is that simple.

Just do it, and if it is His will you will know. But the bible also tells us to pray earnestly for the gifts, and if it is Gods will we will be gifted, sometimes only for a season.

Yes, you are very welcome here. Often your gift is according to how you see a need in another person or in the local church. It is where your compassion lies. My husband has the gift of helps and sees practical needs. He would help anywhere he can, doing the most servile things, so it is also a witness to the neighbors. He truely has a servent's heart. I see emotional needs most often and am inclined to be an exhorter or encourager. Twice I warned people as well. It depends on where I am and what way God has called me to serve. As Fez said, some were for a season as the need arose. But keep in mind that gifts are ususally for a local body of believers, where they can be judged. Often God has given me wisdom as to how to answer peoples questions such as in small group bible studies. It comes instantly and often is beyond my own wisdom, knowledge or experience.
