...as the Father and he are one.

Most will agree that Christianity is anything but one.

Is it because of the radical take over by Rome (circa 324 CE to date), and that the only solution to ride the Body Christian of the invading tentacles of this virus is a radical cold reboot?

From an email I sent to a kindred spirit who by reading the Bible rather than the traditions or history books of man concluded that God did not ask Solomon to build a Temple...

Brother Josh,

I was impressed and pleased to find on your blog a kindred spirit on God not desiring Solomon to build a temple for him. The matter goes much deeper into revealing what the antichrist will be (temple builder / false messiah promoting old covenant Judaism ousting new covenant Christianity with lying signs and wonders).

For years I have tried to explain how Zechariah 6:12-13 is God's interpretation of 2 Samuel 7:12-13, but my words fell on deaf ears and blind eyes. How Hebrews 8:5 is conspicuously missing any instructions to Solomon. And that the Temple the true Messiah would build would be the people themselves that are infilled with the Holy Spirit of God (1 Corinthians 3:16).

Chiefest cause of the blind eyes and the deaf ears among believers in Jesus are the traditions of men masquerading as Church doctrine, tradition, or dogma... reiterated in even the remotest Protestant Reformation from hijacking Roman Catholic Imperialism. Yes, even Calvary Chapels and even Vineyards teach these traditions unawares... and certainly the mainline Protestant demonstrations...  This is why we split on everything in the Church (divided and all but conquered).

Age old tactic.

In an old Star Trek TNG episode, Contagion, the starships became infected with an incompatible computer subroutine that eventually destroyed the ships. And only a cold reboot resolved the problem. This is precisely what the Church needs. A cold reboot of all the traditions and brand names for each division of it, getting back to the Bible as the authority and the tested Holy Spirit as the tutor / instructor / interpreter of the scriptures he wrote.

2 Peter 1:20-21 (KJV)
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

1 John 4:1 (KJV)
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

John 16:13 (KJV)
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Acts 17:11 (KJV)
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Otherwise we in the identity crisis mode of the Church follow traditions of men more than we realize:

Mark 7:7-13 (KJV)
7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

For starters, there is no such thing as lay believers. We are all priests before God under the High Priest Jesus. (1 Peter 2:3-9, Revelation 1:6, Revelation 5:10) the Hebrew concept kingdom of priests expressed in 1st century secular koine Greek. Which God intended for all Israel in Exodus 19:6 but was shipwrecked in Exodus 32 when God would have destroyed every last man woman and child to start over with Moses had he not plead with the LORD to relent. That is when the clergy / laity division began in the old covenant not the new.

In the process of time after the Roman hijacking of the faith beginning with Emperor Constantine and mum, the emphasis has been on the Church organization versus the Church organism. Guess which on Christ died to redeem.

God bless.

Or... we can simply to proceed blindly down the course of business as usual and hope for the best...

Just remember, willful ignorance is no excuse in God's eyes.
