"More than 40 years after a Soviet nuclear physicist proposed an outlandish theory that trios of particles can arrange themselves in an infinite nesting-doll configuration, experimentalists have reported strong evidence that this bizarre state of matter is real ..."

Could this have "theological" implications?

A Triune Creation~!

The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. Psalms 97:6

Who Would Of Thought :)

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matthew 3:16-17

I suppose so. We only know that God came into existence as 3 beings making one God. Since God made man in His image, maybe He made the universe after Himself. Everything from the infinitesimally small, to things so large we don't know of them yet. I consider 3 as God's foot print. Or you can think of it as His stamp. Three means it came from God.

Hmm . . . makes an odd sort of sense if you think about it.

Perhaps its one of God's many "monograms" throughout creation.

"Three" is common to many aspects of reality, e.g.: space, time, states of matter, electro-magnetism, atomic structure, etc.

In addition, the psychology of the human soul may be understood in three essential aspects of being, i.e., personality or ego self-consciousness, mind or id - conscious and unconscious, and spirit or superego - unconscious even superconscious.

Furthermore, the threefold nature of human religious predilections is apparent in three major views or cultural attitudes to the Absolute, which may be said to venerate one or other (or some combination) of the persons of the Trinity.

Indeed, it looks like God made not only humans, but the world and human religions "in his image."

What do you think?

i cannot think of a way that this would possibly influence theology. It's just a new state of matter, nothing more. Most of the time scientific inventions have totally no impact on theology.

It is quite probable that the inspiration for human religions reflects the threefold psychology of One God in Trinity expression. Indeed, when we examine world religions, we see in the personalities they portray and the language they use, a reflection of one or other (or some combination) of the three divine psychological personae. On the face of it, God may be trying to tell us something about his multi-dimensional self, through the diversity of major religions.
