Acts 16:26 - "And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed."

We are challenged in the New Testament to see God at work in the midst of our trials so that incredible positive outcomes are secured. Isn't this what Paul and Silas "saw" in the darkest hour with bleeding backs and bound in the prison stocks?

The Holy Spirit is promising us that in these days we are going to begin to "see" the invisible God at work in ways that we have not recognized before. This spiritual insight is what distinguishes this "Holy Spirit optimism" from the mere "power of positive thinking".

Observation:

I HAVE BEEN "DOING TIME" (IN THE PRISON OF MY MIND), BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN DECEIVED BY THE DEVIL. HE HAS TRICKED ME INTO BELIEVING THAT I CAN'T BE FORGIVEN AND THAT GOD DOESN'T LOVE ME ANYMORE.

Isaiah 55:7 - "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon."

John 1:1,9 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word was the true light that enlightens all men; and he was coming into the world."

No one can stop the language of God because God's words are creative. They are full of power.

Affirmations:

WHEN I SPEAK THE LANGUAGE OF GOD FROM MY HEART, I AM AGREEING WITH GOD, AND NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO ME.

I AM FULL OF LIFE AND POWER TOO WHEN I LET THOSE WORDS ABIDE IN ME.

Song of Solomon 4:1 - "How beautiful you are, my love; how beautiful you are! You have doves' eyes, besides what is hid within."

YOUR EYES, IN FAITHFULNESS AND SIMPLICITY, ARE LIKE THOSE OF DOVES. SIMPLICITY CAUSES YOU TO ACT ONLY WITH GOD'S GOOD PLEASURE IN VIEW, HAVING FORGOTTEN YOUR OWN SELFISH INTENTIONS, MOTIVES, OR SCHEMES.
