THE MILLENNIUM - Judgment.

JUDGMENT

The great earthquake has caused the cities of the nations to fall, and the islands to disappear while the mountains are levelled. Civilisation and all its modern trappings will have been obliterated. Over three quarters of the population of the world will have been killed, (during the tribulation).

The Lord then comes with His angelic hosts.

`...the Son of Man .....comes in His own glory, and all the Holy angels with Him...` (Luke 9: 26)

`So the Lord of hosts will come down to fight for Mount Zion and for its hill. Like flying birds about, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem, defending, He will also deliver it; passing over, He will preserve it.` (Isa. 31: 4 & 5)

His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives.

`Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,...` (Zech. 14: 3 & 4)

The Lord speaks the word of judgment and the world`s armies are annihilated.

`Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations.` (Rev. 19: 15)

This would be like a nuclear blast - God`s word of judgment, the fire of His great wrath.

`And this is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on the their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, and their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.` (Zech. 14: 12)

Judgment is also upon those throughout the world who have not looked after the Jews when they were fleeing the persecution by anti-Christ and his army. These people wherever they are, are immediately taken away to judgment.

`Two women will be grinding together; the one will be taken and the other will be left. There will be two men in the field; the one will be taken and the other left.` (Luke 17: 35 & 36)

The Lord Jesus explains why they were taken away in judgment.

`Then He will say to those on His left hand, “Depart from me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels,......Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, (His Jewish brethren), you did not do it to me.` (Matt. 25: 45)

Hi mabel,

Yes a lot of people thought it was to save them, however note - `As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:......` (Luke 17: 26)

The context is of judgment. In Noah`s day judgment came upon those rebellious people and they were TAKEN AWAY IN THE FLOOD. So also when the Lord comes to judge the rebellious after the tribulation, those that are judged will be TAKEN AWAY OFF THE EARTH to everlasting punishment.

i find that such a hard concept that people are taken off ....to everlasting punishment...maybe a sort of quarantine but everlasting ....i mean a lot of folk who are decieved and have been for a long time and dont even realise because of all the distractions of vanity fayre from their youngest days. i mean its a miracle that my life has changed as i was one of those folk until a few years ago i had no idea that i was being decieved it took a vicar and his wife to gradually get through to me. i mean the church was so austere and was irrelvent to me then and i do struggle with it still today. i at times feel very let down by the church as they dont teach you about things like spiritual warfare just to name one thing.. and therefore i am solo on my journey for the biggest part.

Hi mabel,

I quite understand what you are saying. However....we need always remember that God`s hand of mercy is always outstretched - till someone`s dying breath. It is often said that in wars there are no atheists. As to those in deception now, well if they really want the truth then God leads them to people who will open it up to them, (per you). Also in the tribulation there is a great multitude that no one can count. How big is that - billions, and they are going through - hunger, heat and thirst, and thus are faced with the reality of death & they do cry out to God, it says. So even while God is bring judgments upon man`s rebellious world system, His hand of mercy is still there.

We need to realise that some people want their own way, (& not God`s) and are so hard hearted that they want it forever - ie. their own way.

Good to read your thoughts sis, Marilyn.
