LIVING WATERS

When the Lord comes to the Mount of Olives, He will split the mountain in half and living waters will flow out to bring healing to the rivers and seas.

`The Lord will go forth and fight against those nations as He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, making a very large valley. Half of the mountain shall move towards the north and half of it towards the south.` (Zech. 14: 3 & 4)

The rivers and the seas will be polluted in the tribulation and thus God sends living water to flow across the land of Israel towards the Jordan valley and also out to the Mediterranean Sea. This water will also flow under the temple and bring life to all along its banks.

`Then he brought me to the door of the temple; and there was water flowing from under the threshold of the temple.....This water flows towards the eastern region, goes down into the valley and enters the sea.

When it reaches the sea its waters are healed. And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes.` (Ez. 47: 1, 8 & 9)

The fishermen will have good catches to feed the people as previously all living things in the sea had died. (Rev. 16: 3)

`It shall be that fishermen will stand by it, (the living waters) from En Gedi to En Eglaim; they will be places for spreading their nets. Their fish will be the same kinds as the fish of the Great Sea, exceedingly many.

But its swamps and marshes will not be healed; they will be given over to salt.` (Ez 47: 10 & 11) 

As the water brings life to the rivers and seas, we also see that the trees planted along the river will grow good fruit for food and the leaves will be used for health purposes.

`Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.` (Ez. 47: 12)
