Matthew 16:13,17,18 - "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?
Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not overpower it."

The Lord was not saying that He was going to build His church upon Peter. Jesus alone is the foundation of the church, and the rock that we must fasten our foundation to is the revelation from the Father of who Jesus is.

It is not enough for us to just believe in who our parents say Jesus is, or even who our pastor says he is.

We will not get to heaven because we are close to someone who is born again, or is growing in Him - we must be born again, and grow up into Him.

Affirmations:

I MUST DIG MY OWN WELL.

I MUST GO DEEPER.

I MUST HAVE MY OWN REVELATION FROM THE FATHER OF WHO JESUS IS.

John 11:44 - "And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, "Loose him, and let him go."

Observation:

DO I KNOW THAT I CAN BE RAISED FROM THE DEAD SPIRITUALLY, AND YET, STILL BE BOUND? I CAN BE SAVED BY THE POWER OF CHRIST AND YET, STILL BE BOUND BY THE TIGHT TRAPPINGS OF LIFE.

"God put His stamp of ownership on you by giving you the Holy 
Spirit he had promised...so that your minds may be opened to see His light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you...and how very great is his power at work in us who believe. This power in us is the same as the mighty strength which he used when he raised Christ from death." - Ephesians 1:13,18-20

Shall we stop short in 2019 of what He says we ought to be -- shall we cease to come into line with the Mind which is always thinking for our best -- shall we cease to humble ourselves before him who took the way of the cross for us -- shall we cease to withhold ourselves from Him?

Can a true believer come to God today without a cry to God to make them, as it were, flames of fire?

God shall endue you in that you won't be satisfied until you feel the very members of your body on fire with a Spirit-kindled PURPOSE.
