About Submission

Incline your ear [submit and consent to the divine will]

and come to Me, hear, and your soul will revive.

Isaiah 55: 3

Today, before you even begin to listen to the Father, decide to be

submissive. Often the Lord may instruct you in ways that are challenging

in order to set you free from bondage and grow your faith.

So do not be surprised that responding in obedience to Him will

be difficult at times. He asks you to work against the very patterns

that hold you captive, and that hurts.

But obey anyway, realizing that your Father understands the

struggle you feel. He knew your wounds and spiritual stongholds

before you ever came to listen to Him, and He knows exactly how

to free you from the pain you feel.

So friend, today, trust that Your Savior works for your best

interest. You may not understand how or why God is instructing

you to do something-but you can be absolutely certain that blessings

will result if you obey Him. So be submissive as you know

how to be and depend on Him to lead you.

Lord, I submit to You daily, so I may hear, trust, and

obey You, even when I don't understand, amen.
