True Victory

This is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith.

1 John 5:4

When life sends us reeling in pain and confusion, our response

to our struggles will reveal how mature we are in our relationship

with Christ. Of course, what He desires to see is our unshakeable

trust in Him, regardless of what happens. That is the measure of

true victory-our unwavering faith. We realize that as children of

our sovereign God, we are never victims of our circumstances. He

is in control and will ultimately use whatever touches our lives for

our good and His glory.

This is the goal. However, it's easier said than done. And if we

drift in our devotion to God, the tragic events that unfold can leave

us jaded.

Friend, don't allow the storms in your life  to discourage

you; rather, cling to the Lord and invite Him to fill you with His

strength and hope. Hold tightly to Him and to promises He's

given you-no matter what the cost or how circumstances appear.

Have faith to the end. Because you know that with God, you'll be

able to endure anything that comes your way in life and emerge

triumphant.

Lord, I cling to Your promise that You

will prevail on my behalf, amen.
