World Rulers - The First Civilization.

Q. What was the first Civilization like?

The first civilization started by Cain were not mere savages, but had many skills. They had attained to a considerable degree of civilisation.

Builders    `And Cain....built a city.` (Gen. 4: 17)

Herdsmen `And Adah (wife of Cain`s grandson) bore Jabal. He was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.` (Gen. 4: 20)

Musicians `His brother`s name was Jubal. He was the father of all those who play the harp and flute.` (Gen. 4: 21)

Craftsmen `And as for Zillah, (the other wife of Cain`s grandson), she bore Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron.` (Gen. 4: 22)

Even though the people had families and developed their skills in many ways, most people`s hearts were not turned to God. Wickedness and evil prevailed and the earth was filled with violence.

`Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.` (Gen. 6: 5,  11 – 13)

Thus it came about that God judged mankind for their evil ways, but spared Noah and his family as he was –

`...a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.` (Gen. 6: 9)

yes the Arabs were streets ahead of anyone else in many things which i cant help thinking of the tree of knowledge of good and evil back before the flood and since the flood. oh and also Solomon and all the knowledge/wisdom...

Hi mabel,

The knowledge & skills the first people had were God given - physical skills & abilities. The knowledge of good & evil is a different knowledge -moral.

makes me wonder how man could have gotten by otherwise as it was a very hostile environment. animals and other humans and poisonous plants.

That`s true mabel. God gave people the skills & abilities to live in the world. I don`t think it would have been such a hostile environment. Along the rivers Tigris & Euphrates, (Gen. 2: 10 - 14) would have been very fertile land for growing crops & farming animals. Many plants were good for food & trees bearing fruits.

No Decent Of Cain Or The Other Brothers Survived The Flood,
Only Noah & His Family Of The Line Of Seth

:sherlock:

Ever Wonder

And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood. Genesis 7:7 (New International Version)

What Breeding Lines

It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith. Hebrews 11:7 (New Living Translation)

The Four Wife's Descended From...

The man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. Genesis 3:20 (English Standard Version)

Be Blessed Beloved Daughter Of The KING

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. Numbers 6:24-27 (King James Bible)

Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Psalms 119:160 (King James Bible)

The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable.

Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you.

It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christian’s charter. Here too, Heaven is opened and the gates of Hell disclosed.

Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully.  It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure.

It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.

Hi FresnoJoe,

Truly an amazing event. And to think that Noah told the people over many years, the judgment that was coming, & only he & his family believed.
