I believe it is. That is what I see in God`s word, & was taught by teachers back in the `60`s. So it is not some new fangled theory. Anyway we are seeing God`s word played out before us.

The most difficult thing is that everyday life goes on and we are tricked by that. Somehow we think we should see the world falling apart and someone standing up controlling everyone. But that is fantasy. The vultures are gathering up north of Israel, as we can see & the Peace Negotiator will come in with charisma and deception.

Nice job, lot's of good information, thank you. I'd like to add my view as it is currently unfolding and may or may not actually happen, but it's my scriptural view of prophecy [so far].

First, I don't think Islam will by any means play a part in the seven year tribulation, at least the last 3-1/2 years of God's wrath, the Great Tribulation. Like I mentioned recently in a thread, our vision is becoming more clear, like the skin of an onion being peeled from cataracts on our eyes, and Daniel 12: 4 is becoming visible. I'm going to be very brief in my personal assessment on when, how and why Islam is not the ten toes / crowns of Daniel and Revelation. And the two legs are not the divisions (Sunni / Shia) of Islam as some suggest. I think Islam is going to be totally decimated in the very near future and be drawn to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They're going to find out 'Allah' is a false god.

I'm hearing from credible sources and ministries that are preaching Jesus' love and Salvation into Iran that, Iran is the fastest growing Christian nation in the world and our Lord is reaching and converting a multitude. It's easily confirmed by Googling the testimonies of converted Iranian Muslims and Christian ministries to Iran. But this is just an aside.

Psalm 83:  This is an Islamic coalition war that historically has never happened, with all the nations and peoples listed, not 1948, 1967 or 1973 as some claim. Notice all the nations in this Psalm 83: federation are nations, peoples and groups that border Israel, or inner ring nations if you will. Not one of these nations, peoples or groups are named or listed in the Ezekiel 38: - 39: invasion, ever wonder why? I believe if this is an independent war of the inner ring nations against Israel they will be defeated by the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), and Israel will expand their boundaries, and then consider themselves living in peace.

Some claim Israel is living in peace at the present. How can that be when the world is crying 'peace and security'? A 308 mile high tech security fence to protect them from terrorists. A constant threat from the terrorist nations and terror groups, Iran threatening to drive them into the sea, etc. No, I don't consider that living in peace and safety when they are surrounded by enemies with little if any buffering zones.

I think the Ezekiel 38: invasion will follow sometime after that. A little know fact that somehow may play into the chaos of the destruction of Gog / Magog, is the Russian military is reported to comprise of 40% Muslims. I found that very curious and interesting. Perhaps this coalition of Muslims (Shia / Sunni) that hate each other with a passion, will also turn on one another? Anyway, all these nations of Ezekiel 38: - 39: are Muslim nations (or outer ring nations) that are a distance off. Israel will have to do nothing, as they will be decimated by the Lord himself. What draws Gog and Magog to want to take a spoil of Israel? What is the hook in the jaw?

As previously mentioned by Marilyn, Israel's newly found oil and natural gas wealth would be obvious, since Russia's major export is oil, and they have much difficulty getting it out of the ground in Siberia and transported to market (open sea ports, pipe lines through other countries, etc.). Another little known tidbit is, Russia is having a difficult time feeding its people and its economy is sinking, as our own. We all know Putin's history and what he is capable of. I recently read where Putin maybe the world's richest man? Is 'Gog' a title of a demon, a title of a man, could Putin be Gog? In my estimation he fits the bill and is following scripture. Israel has the best soil in the entire world and produces the best fruit and vegetables in the world and exports massive amounts. Their agricultural technologies are second to none. The hook in the jaw...

The Bible is chalk full of symbolism. The hook in the jaw, what's done with the jaw? Eating! Is it possible the hook in the jaw is figurative for the reason Gog - Magog (Russia and coalition) invades Israel, because of food or a possible global famine? Just a thought? 

Anyway, whether or not our prophetic views are close or correct, we're seeing it all play out before our very own eyes. I would guess in one year as we see more of this unfold and play out, we might be modifying our perception of end-time events. I know in my heart the Rapture is so very close. I was in town this morning sitting and waiting for a hair cut. I was looking out of the window and noticed the town already had up its Christmas street decorations. Then it hit me and remembered a quote from somewhere, when you see the Christmas decorations you know Thanksgiving is getting close. So too the Rapture.

That is a good point concerning the food, as per Russia. So true.

Then when I saw you mention `hair cuts` do you know that when the next GFC (Global Financial Crisis) comes then banks will give `hair cuts` to those with over `$ 100,000` in their account. Banks believe that the money we put in their trust, is us investing in their business, and if they are in trouble, well...we have to help out!

I see one teeny weenie problem with your view Marilyn and I'm not arguing, just discussing. The Lord is very specific about all the nations and people are that come with Gog / Magog, wouldn't you agree? 

All of Islam 'hates' Israel, and some of them that hate Israel the most are; the PLO, Hamas, the Palestinian Refugees, Hezbollah, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and residents of Gaza. Saudi Arabia sets this one out and asks, "are you coming to take a spoil". 

So, how do we explain where these 'inner ring' nations and people are, and why are they not a part of the Gog / Magog war? My best guess is they were previously defeated.

That's a good point about the carrion fowl. I've been wondering how, when and where these animals were going to collect in anticipation of their feast. Would you have a source about them gathering and anyone who is observing this? I would suspect there will be a whole bunch of vultures and carrion eaters that will be gathered maybe ahead of time in anticipation. It's worth keeping an eye on anyway.

I also suspect he will be a great articulate orator and a master of public speaking. Might be comparable to Adolph Hitler but better?

Glad we are discussing and are tuned into what`s happening and not lost in the ancient empires view. So...you are thinking, why are the inner ring of Islamic nations not a part of the Gog/Magog war. Well remember that kingdom, is divided - Sunni / Shi-ites. And which ones do God say are with the Russian Federation - Persia, (Iran) Ethiopia & Libya. All these are Shi-ites and friendly with Russia. Even now we see Russia & Iran on the very border of Israel. But we know God will have His timing.

Also remember that the coming Peace Negotiator will NOT come in by war, but peaceably. He will rise to power by intrigue and cunning. This is what I believe & was taught over 40 years ago. Amazing that these teachers had such insight into God`s word and now I/we are seeing it come about. I was told to watch `Syria, Iraq & Jordan, back in the `60`s and who has come on beam? those nations. Amazing.

I don`t get involved with all the hoop-la out there in the world or follow any latest revelations, but keep focussing where the action is - Iraq & Syria & also Jordan. It is these 3 that will come together under the peace negotiator as his power base in the near future.

Yes I also believe this Peace Negotiator will be very articulate especially in public speaking. He will not be like Adolf Hitler for Adolf was a war monger. This Peace Negotiator desires to bring the Islamic groups together & it is only when he starts to become known (after WW3) and gets asked to speak at the world`s conferences, etc it is then that he `magnifies himself in his heart.` (Dan. 8: 25) & becomes very proud, thinking he is the Islamic long awaited Messiah. Thus he becomes a megalomaniac. (think that is the word)

I think He will intervene as He Says in His Word, and immediately sends Yeshua at just the right moment,  not one minute too soon,  to prevent Israel or Jerusalem from being overthrown.   At the same time , all of Israel will have or will be proclaiming with loud crying, with echad heart and soul and spirit and with one voice "BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME ADONAI ! " as they cried in Jesus' first entry into jerusalem as written. (test and verify).

At the moment Yeshua Returns, He will gather all the elect as written (somehow, simply for now just somehow),

and He will stand on the  Mount of Olives,  and there will be a great earthquake such has never been seen before on earth, ever,  and He will open His Mouth,    and all the enemy and all their weapons will burst into flame instantly.

However and whenever the enemy exalts himself before the nations comes before all this, years BEFORE "God intervenes" to save His people. (test and verify,  but more than anything else, pray to be ready..... )

Must add Dennis that I find discussing with you quite refreshing as you are more aware of what is happening today and are polite enough to hear what I`ve been taught. Not my revelation but those who taught me.

I do realise that those who were taught the RRE view would find it hard to actually look properly at the contemporary view, so am pleased to be discussing with you bro.

That sort of makes sense. Best estimates I hear is 90% of Muslim's are Sunni, and the remaining Shi-ites. I know what you mean, I still have my C. I. Scofield Bible I purchased back about 1975 and the notes and insight are amazing.

Yes I agree with you. The Shi-ites are usually the more volatile that is why they will join with Russia etc to go against Israel. They do so want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

I have my mother`s Scofield bible and yes it is a great help. He does put in `over` in the margin as regards, Rev. 5: 10. All other bibles write `on` & that has caused so much error in the Body of Christ. With other scriptures on that topic it is quite clear that we will reign OVER the earth from the third heaven. He still has a couple of mistakes though if you look at the Greek. He says `saints` instead of `holy ones` who come with the Lord at Armageddon. They are holy angels as the Lord has said will come with Him. (Jude 14 & Zech.14: 5 errors) And his Dan. 7 beasts are in error -should be contemporary.

And we are off into other areas, but still important. Oh dear another thread to start.

Israel (and that area) could be menaced by political or tactical turmoils next 2018 for the celebrations of 70 years as a nation... Time will tell!
