  2. Thank you for sharing this! The Corporate Assembly . . . so important.
  3. Awesome man doing an unique work among the Muslim world. Thank you for sharing about him.
  4. All this applies to when Adam was created. It has nothing to do with original creation. Death to humans is what Romans 5 is referring to. Because it is clear that Satan was in "Eden, the garden of God" per Ezek 28 (v.13) before "iniquity was found in him" (v.15). #2 doesn't matter. It is errelevant. What is very relevant is what "tohu wabohu" describes in Gen 1:2, because there is no detail (context) for it. However, the same 2 words occur together in 2 other passages: Jer 4 and isa 34. In both passages, the words are used to describe "great destruction" of land. How can those 2 words be used to describe original creation when they are used both times for destruction of land? That is what the young earthers can't get around.

  6. Okay I agree animals are not a bunch of murderers, but the food chain and animals eating each other to survive is from after Adam and Eve fell in sin. God does not call it good, yes sure, Noah could eat meat, cause it had all changed anyway, but it was not good, like the rest of creation: They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. 31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Death came when Adam sinned. Why not split the discussion up in: 1. Satan fell before or after God created the earth, which caused tohu wabohu or not. 2. How old are the fossils, when did death start
  7. Then you need to know who this person is who rules all the nations. And he was snatched up to God and his throne. (Ascension) . Rev 4:6 - and I saw a Lamb , looking as it had been slain. Where is this. In the Throne room. Jesus the Man Child, who is the Christ was born out of Israel, His inheritance. Much of Chp 12 is historical, yet much is future. Who is this woman with the 12 stars, Part of Joseph's dream, past. In Christ Montana Marv
  8. I have heard just about all of these arguments. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. - John 6:44 No one can be convinced unless God draws him first. These responses come from the sinful unredeemed nature of people outside of Christ. Some of these responses are pretty nasty too. Aggressiveness and incivility is pretty typical of the LGBT movement.
  9. Perhaps there are spiritual laws in effect that result in certain outcomes for law breaking. What you sow, you shall reap seems to allude to this in my thinking.
  10. Mr. M What result was produced by water baptism if it has efficacy or was it just a witness of something far greater?
  11. Interesting passage that reflects a few other passages. In Revelation the Lord sends a scorching heat on men. It this passage referring to it or something else? Who? The whole earth Why? They transgressed the statutes in addition to the everlasting covenant. What is the everlasting covenant? One of the big theological questions is, are we as believers included in the group? I would say no unless some of us also transgressed. Those who have wine as a centerpiece to their lives will be sorely disappointed.
  12. Please explain what the name and location of a light source has to do with the speed of the earth's rotation. I'm interested in knowing. Genesis 1 never mentions the sun by name. Did it come from "light?" Did it replace "light?" Did the sun, moon and stars all come from one place called "Light," as the Big Bang suggests? "And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth" Light had existed since day one. What if it was the sun from the beginning, there was just a moon and stars added? So, were the days 24 hours? Probably not quite, since the earth's rotation is slowing. Maybe they were 23 hours, 55 seconds. The days certainly wouldn't be 1,000 years, because nothing would survive a 1,000 year night, and that would mean the earth took 1,000 years to rotate once. It also changes the 7-day week thing that God didn't have to institute, but did.
  13. Not sure of your point here. Animals don't murder. Humans murder. Know the difference. Carnivores eat meat to survive. That's called the "food chain". What it isn't, is murder. Unless one honestly deals with "tohu wabohu" in Gen 1:2, and what those words describe, they will never truly understand Genesis 1.
  14. “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. 7 The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea. God never created dinosaurs that murder each other before Adam nor in Genesis 1:24.
  15. Yes, James Knox preaches Jesus. An Independent Baptist minister located in Florida. Can be found on YT.
  16. Where the congregation in the wilderness failed for forty years, Jesus fasting and praying for forty days in the wilderness succeeded in defeating the tempter. Is not the Law a means of defining how to be holy and righteous in the flesh? The Holy Spirit better defines holiness and righteousness in the church era. Edit: Brain cramp, had to omit something I included which was wrong.
  17. I was reading Isaiah 24 earlier. I don't know how this prophecy will play out and it certainly hasn't yet. Isa. 24:4-13 (ESV) 4The earth mourns and withers; the world languishes and withers; the highest people of the earth languish. 5The earth lies defiled under its inhabitants; for they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant. 6Therefore a curse devours the earth, and its inhabitants suffer for their guilt; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are scorched, and few men are left. 7The wine mourns, the vine languishes, all the merry-hearted sigh. 8The mirth of the tambourines is stilled, the noise of the jubilant has ceased, the mirth of the lyre is stilled. 9No more do they drink wine with singing; strong drink is bitter to those who drink it. 10The wasted city is broken down; every house is shut up so that none can enter. 11There is an outcry in the streets for lack of wine; all joy has grown dark; the gladness of the earth is banished. 12Desolation is left in the city; the gates are battered into ruins. 13For thus it shall be in the midst of the earth among the nations, as when an olive tree is beaten, as at the gleaning when the grape harvest is done.

  20. We will all be killed by phallic symbols. Rightly so, for having saturated our culture with pornography to the extent this culture is determined to invent more genders to enable greater perversity.
  21. What earth are you on? Surely it is spring everywhere. Isn't it? You are not upside down too are you?
  22. Taking a bit of a break before deciding on some morning coffee I am relaxing to the Times Of Israel and have found the image out of Iran shown below. As a USA resident I cannot imagine living under billboards with such messaging. Can't even begin to comprehend how that would favorably influence anyone. But obvoiusly it must. Somehow the lyrics of a Paul Simon tune are coming rumbling into my mind. "A man walks down the street It's a street in a strange world Maybe it's the third world Maybe it's his first time around He doesn't speak the language He holds no currency He is a foreign man He is surrounded by the sound, "... "It's a cartoon grave yard" begins to make sense.
  23. For sure, it's 8.11PM on Tuesday evening here, and we are heading into autumn. There were squalls in between bright sunshine during the day. I had a good Bible Study thread to work on and post here so it didn't bother me a bit.
  24. Guess I will add a thought before it is too much past 4:00 AM. That being it is important, or actually vital, to have a common definition of at least key words and or phrases. Otherwise "cross talk" becomes a serious impediment to understanding one of another.
  25. Your sermon about sermons is coming together quite well . . .
  26. Well it is almost 4:00 AM, peak thinking time for me. It is all downhill from there for the day. LOL.
