  2. Shalom, other one. Yes, and a prime example of one who could not be baptized but was still justified by God was the thief on the cross.
  3. Shalom, Neighbor. To answer your question, we only need to read the words of Yeeshuwa` when convincing Yochanan to baptize Him: Matthew 3:13-17 (KJV) 13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. 14 But John forbad him, saying, "I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?" 15 And Jesus answering said unto him, "Suffer [it to be so] now: for thus it becometh us TO FULFIL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS." Then he suffered him. 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, "This is my beloved Son, IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED." He first had to present Himself for the ritual cleansing before the Ruwach haQodesh Elohiym (the Holy Spirit of G0d) could anoint Him for service as King and Priest and Prophet. And having done so, His Father was ""WELL PLEASED." Thus, He became the Anointed One, the Maashiyach, the Christos.
  4. I am glad that you took hold of that. It is very important to follow what God said and to used the specific words He did. Please post your post in that thread so I can reply there because you have raised important matters. ●●●Michael has asked to continue this discussion in the New thread Brance Discussion About Sin Entering Through Adam.
  5. Today
  6. Okay, I understand your comment. God never used the word sin but He did tell Adam that he commanded him not to eat of the tree… So, what are you bringing that out for? They both disobeyed God’s commands…
  7. Hi @Your closest friendnt The discussion branched out from end times to the question od Adam's sin, hence the creation of this new thread. Paul has it as follows: Rom 5:12-14 Therefore, even as through one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed on all men inasmuch as all sinned: (13) for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. (14) But death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is the type of Him who was to come;
  8. Luke reminds us that Christ was journeying toward Jerusalem and, therefore, the Cross. He was focused on His mission and refused to be deterred. Having arrived in Jerusalem, Christ went directly to the Temple and drove out those who were selling their wares, making His "house of prayer... a robbers' den..." (see Luke 19:45–46). This was indeed anger, but it was not a temporary loss of self-control. His actions were prophetic. The Temple was intended by God to picture us, created to be the dwelling place/temple of God (1 Corinthians 3:16). The defilement Jesus was seeing reminded Him of the defilement in us, which He was about to cleanse at the Cross, just days from then. He was demonstrating what He had come to do: cleanse His temple – US! And Christ was very intense about this. "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." - Romans 8:1 NKJV. There is no guilt, punishment, sentence, or shame – all our sins have been forgiven and we are always in right standing with God so there is nothing hindering or delaying our advancing His Kingdom and bearing fruit that remains. through our Christ calling. (John 15:16) As part of your daily walking in the spirit, reflect on the passion of Christ. Thank Him for the price He paid. Worship Him not only as God the Creator, but also as Son of Man, the Redeemer. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  9. I don't really know much about the Masons. I've heard rumors but some of those could submit be rumors. As far as Washington goes, I must respectfully disagree about him being a deist or anything close to a deist. The claim that he was a Deist comes from a few writings by others and the claims that he spoke of Providence or Divine Providence, which are not terms that Christians use today, people have made this false assumption that he was a deist. The evidence for his deep Christian faith however I would say is this. There are many paintings that include George Washington dating all the way back to the time of the founding fathers. In many of these paintings, George Washington is often depicted either with a Bible or in some form of prayer, or even looking up into the sky for guidance. Looking at historical texts, it is not hard to find that Washington was extremely devoted to God and sought God constantly. Claiming that Washington was a deist is not only a false accusation, but in my personal opinion it slanders the name of a good man who trusted God with his whole being. Washington was no more ideas than Billy Graham or Charles spurgeon. I am a bit of a history buff, so I know quite a bit about our founding fathers. I've never seen a single legitimate argument that says that Washington was a deist, and virtually every claim made by people about Washington being a deist, are made by people who are not Christian themselves. That's just my two cents, for whatever it's worth.
  10. Please take the time to read my post again and we will look in the other matters one by one because I do not want to keep saying that I did not say that or that. I only said that Adam disobeyed God because this is what God said who never said the word "Sin" to neither Adam or Eve.
  11. Apart from the Bible this is the best resource on prophecy I have come across . . . Prophecy in the Local Church: A Practical Handbook and Historical Overview: Amazon.co.uk: Pytches, David: 9780340595664: Books Here are some quotes from Chapter 20 "The fact that one of the spiritual gifts is for the discerning of spirits (1 Cor 12:10), and the rest of the congregation is told to weigh up the prophecies (1 Cor 14:29) is proof enough that Paul certainly did not believe that gifting in any way implied infallibility". "It is usually a mistake for prophets to be the ultimate authority in a group. A number of heterodox sects and groups have been led by "prophets" whose "inspired" statements led people astray . . . It is the place of prophets to prophesy, but it is the place of the heads of the community to judge prophecy." [Attributed to Bruce Yokum]
  12. Obviously there will be Christians who don't vote for Trump. But I must admit, I don't understand why. As many faults as Trump has, and I admit he does have many, it's his policies I'm voting for. Trump supports life, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and I believe he will destroy the WOKE and LGBT agendas that have been forced on America the last 4 years. Trump helped millions and under his watch a cure for Covid was created when all the Drs said it would take years. Trump believes in America 1st and won't send our taxes to corrupt Ukraine or spend billions on accommodating illegals. I honestly don't know why Trump and Biden are the only choices. Apparently both parties didn't have anyone else. Trump is NOT a Christian BUT he will protect Christian values. Not every Christian will vote for Trump, but In all honesty, HOW could any real Christian vote for Biden? He's everything the Bible condemns. He supports nearly every sin in existence. Biden is a disaster for America. As far as God blessing America, maybe he shouldn't. It's really crazy that there are 100 MILLION people in this country that go to church, yet the church seems to have little to no impact on the society. We as a church are being extremely disobedient. We are hiding our light and not reaching all those we should be reaching. We are allowing the extreme minority legalize sin and immorality and begin to persecuted the church. Trump is not the best moral example, but he's the option of 2 bad options.
  13. All are tools, but just tools... I would say that Satan has used Radio and TV fairly well over the past 100 years. When I was very young, my grandparents (and a lot of their friends) considered Social Security Numbers to be the mark of the beast and fully expected it to be marked on us somehow. And I guess with modern technology it may well be yet.
  14. Me.... but I really thought it would be a little quicker coming.
  15. It is a tool... But as I look through its programming today, I would think Satan is getting good use of it in the general sense.
  16. Washington spoke of God a lot, however I do not think he talked about Jesus being his Lord. The two pastors where he faithfully attended church have written that he never once took communion with the Church, and when asked about it just stopped attending church on days when communion was served. I would agree he was a good person, as many Masons seem to be. But you can't be a true Christian and a Mason, especially above the 30th degree.
  17. After television held that title for a while, the Universal Product Code became the next tool of the devil. I remember it well. Before the UPC and television, it was radio. Radio was the tool of the devil. Before radio, it was public education. Before public education, playing cards were the tool of the evil one. Cards shared the spotlight with dancing, of course.
  18. I apologize but I am not sure I completely understand the your question and the direction you might want to take this… but it certainly does give one something to consider! So, I will just try and give you a few thoughts: 1) you are right in saying that Eve sinned first and ate the apple after listening to the serpent, 2) and then Adam followed her, 3) Certainly God gave them the ability to “choose,” but He also knew before the foundation of the world what they would choose, 4) So, why did Eve make the first sin and not Adam? Well, I certainly do not know but here are a few thoughts: a) Adam, not Eve, was created by God where He breathed His Holy Spirit into, b) Adam would disobey God and God would HAVE TO take back HIS HOLY SPIRIT that was breathed into Him since God (His Holy Spirit) can not be in the presence of sin, c) God would tell Adam he would surely die and was removed from God’s presence, d) Fast forward some 4000 years and Jesus would be borne also without sin, e) Jesus, would also receive His Holy Spirit on the first day of the 70th week of the prophecy. He would be anointed by His Father when He was baptized by John in the Jordan (Jesus would be heard saying, “into your hands I commit my Holy Spirit”). f) Jesus never disobeyed God but would take on ALL of our sin. He would also have to “return the Holy Spirit” given to Him by His Father on the day of His baptism. Again, when He took on our sin, the Holy Spirit within Him could not be in the presence of sin. e) Perhaps Eve symbolizes the Jews who God took out of mankind as a chosen people. They would sin and Jesus come from His people, but He, unlike Adam, would not sin when tempted by the devil. f) God would restore His Holy Spirit back into Jesus in the 3rd day and would soon return to His Father. Adam (mankind) will also be able to return to God but only by accepting the sacrifice of Jesus. Just some thoughts generated by your question..
  19. Biden and most Democratic politicians are just going along with the flow of Woke culture. Children changing their sex with hormones and surgeries, teachers going along with kids thinking they are another sex, boys allowed to use girls' bathrooms and locker rooms because they say they are girls, children thinking they are an animal... The list of Woke craziness just goes on and on. And don't forget the illegal migrants overwhelming our border under Biden. Most of them are not true asylum seekers but want the free benefits they get in the USA. Biden overturned 90% of Trump's immigration regulations! While Trump might not be perfect (who of us are), I think he will try to curtail some of this craziness.

  21. I've had that happen with some very large geese, and they don't just come at you then retreat. They get right in your face and beat you with their very strong wings.
  22. I would not want Donald for a neighbor, but I do want him as our president. Actually, I don't think any of the presidents we've had in my lifetime I would want as a neighbor except Jimmy Carter, and he wasn't a very effective president.
  23. Hi @luigi Why is there so much about the end times throughout the bible? Good question. I have pondered the same thing and find myself drawn back to this passage: 2Ti 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, (17) that the man of God may be perfected, thoroughly furnished to every good work. God keeps reminding us that things will climax in the reward of the righteous and punishment of the unrighteous, and with that knowledge we are equipped to do good work.
  24. @Charlie744 In your first paragraph I understand that God knew that Eve will eat of the fruit of the forbidden tree and that Adam then would follow. Yes Adam ate from the forbidden fruit but he was not the one who was deceived by the Serpent. And his act was an act of disobedience. We are correct if we say that Adam disobeyed God, but why say something that God knew better and did not say that Adam sin but God said that Adam disobeyed.
  25. Hi VA, I agree with your thought about sharing some events to come to prepare people. I especially like the part where you said `to keep it real simple.` That is because people generally can only remember 2 or 3 points at a time and to try and remember a long list is nigh on impossible for many people. And it seems you might shortened your list. So....here is my suggestion. 1. A great army of Russia and Iran (& others) will come down to destroy Israel. 2. They will get annihilated by a great earthquake that sets off a volcano that wipes them out. I am doing this with viole, an atheist on the special forum. I have just asked her would she like to know what the Bible says will happen next in the Middle East. She responded with `oh the Ethiopians are going to the Golan Heights.` Now I told her that over a year ago and then I haven`t talked to her since. But she remembered that strange fact. I haven`t told her yet how God will deal with the great army but as it is not long now and it will be a real wake up call for her, especially as she is so sarcastic about it all. Now, if anyone then asks you what happens after 1 & 2 (above) you can say - 1. There will be Peace in the Middle East but then great calamities will affect the food and water, so much so that it will need to be rationed. 2. Finally, you will become controlled having had a chip in your hand, (or forehead). This will have your ID, Banking, Medical etc details. You will not be able to buy or sell, or travel, etc without it. If you are asked `what will we do?` Then you can say, `Don`t take the chip, but cry out to God.
  26. I am thinking the church, Christians with faith in Jesus will be gone before Rev 12 or 14 so they are not about the church.
  27. Yes. The Church has TWO STANDINGS, just as Israel did when Balaam tried to curse them. The one standing is their POSITION in Christ. Here, God only sees Christ and we are all IN HIM. We are loved, approved and justified just like God's Son. But Judges and Acts tell us that Israel worshiped idols in Egypt, throughout their 40-year wilderness and in the Good Land. Israel had a DISPOSITION for idol worship. This ended in defeat and dispersion among heathens. The Church is the fairest of Brides in Christ's eyes, but the parables make it quite clear that she will not be without spot or wrinkle when He comes. That ... will take another 1,000 years.
  28. No my dear sister. Your verse says WHO immersed us into One Body - NOT the SUBSTANCE of Christ's Body. Here is what scripture says about that 15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. (1 Co 6:15) "OUR BODIES" are physical. That is why, when Christ predicted His Church in Matthew 16 He based it on "The GATES of Hades". The Church suffers loss when a member dies and is BUILT when men in resurrection are RAISED. In Luke 24:38-39 our Lord was very particular when He said that His risen BODY was not spirit! You must also consider another point with your example. "ONE BODY" is not the LOCAL Assembly. It is the UNIVERSAL Assembly. DIVISIONS (denominations) are a matter of the LOCAL Church Yet again you have misread the grammar. The Holy Spirit, through Paul, states emphatically that divisions are a result of the flesh. I 1st Corinthians the Church is rebuked over their DIVISION caused by Apollos wrong doctrine about Baptism that caused the believers of Ephesus NOT to receive the Holy Spirit in Acts 19. Those who were supporters of Apollus are rebuked AS WELL as those who were for Christ 1st Corinthians 1:10-16. There he asks "IS CHRIST DIVIDED"? Your answer above promotes an answer of YES! But in Chapter 3 Paul is much stronger. Verses 1-4 read; 1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Any division, even on so great a matter as Baptism, is "CARNAL" and causes Christians to be stunted in their growth! And so it is in Ephesians 4. TWO UNITIES are promoted. The UNITY of the Spirit, already established (v.3) must be kept "TILL the UNITY of the THE Faith is come in. P.S. 1. What is "spiritual" is God's House (1st Pet 2:4). God is a Spirit (Jn.4:24) and does not dwell in physical Houses any more. P.S. 2. Emmanuel (God with us) will live in a House made with hands in the Millennium, but Emmanuel is Jesus THE MAN "in Whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells BODILY" (Col.2:9). Ezekiel's Temple - of course.
