  2. Even when I didn't know the Lord, I never understood why some fell prey to jingoistic propaganda. It was always terribly transparent and even garish to my sensibilities, but perhaps that was partially due to my upbringing. I was born on a military installation --- ironically, home of the same military school I would attend after I enlisted --- and grew up on military bases overseas. Perhaps it was because I witnessed aspects of the military that others did not, though on the surface that doesn't speak of the evil which occurred beneath flying flags, wearing uniforms and festooned with medals. What command let certain men get away with was the face of evil itself. I surely didn't join the U.S. Army to "serve my country." I owed that country nothing at all. Rather, the Gulf War was brewing... I knew that some stateside units were preparing for deployment to the Persian Gulf... it was my chance to escape the horror of the house I was born into... and it was an opportunity to potentially check out of this sick and twisted world. I had a combat MOS and I had heard rumors that soldiers arriving in Europe from the states were being diverted to Tent City at the Frankfurt airport. Tent City was the staging point for deployment to the Gulf. That was where you exchanged your woodland camo gear for the newly issued desert BDUs. 117 soldiers on that flight into Frankfurt (I was one), and what happened? 116 were sent to Tent City except for one. I was the only soldier on that flight assigned to West Germany. I volunteered to go to Kuwait but because my commanding officer designated me as indispensable to the operation of the company, I was stuck in Germany. I couldn't leave that unit until the Gulf War was over. I was denied my opportunity to check out. I didn't know it back then, but that was according to the will and purpose of the Lord. Indeed, for He called me after I was finished with the military.

  4. Beloved ones, we heard: ”For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.“ ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬ WHAT are we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake? WHAT are we which live that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh? This, we heard earlier: ”We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;“ ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬ ”persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;“ ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬ ”always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.“ ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬ That we may understand, we which live are troubled on every side, perplexed, persecuted, cast down are compared to we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus. That we may understand, we which live that the life also of Jesus yet not distressed ( henceforth definitely peaceful.), that not in despair (and definitely in hope),that not forsaken ( and definitely loved),that not destroyed ( and definitely flourishing) might be made manifest in our mortal flesh, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. Selah To God the Father be all glory and thanksgiving through Christ. Amen
  5. I'm in agreement with @D. Adrien. I didn't know the Lord when I enlisted in the U.S. Army. There's surely no shame to be had but I must say that, knowing the Lord as I do now, I would certainly not do such a thing. I would gladly be incarcerated than join myself to such a thing. Medics are armed, my friend. The only individual in the U.S. armed forces who is exempt from carrying arms by regulation is the military chaplain; however, chaplains are assisted by aides and those soldiers are the ones who bear arms.
  6. I understand there is supposed to be some satanism in being a Mason. I can do research, but you know how knowledge is these days. Everything has bias and agendas attached to it. How would I know for sure I was finding truth and not just propaganda?? Isn't it possible that a person could be a Christian and simply give lip service to someone else? We do it to God all the time. Look at Namaan in the Old Testament. He said he would only follow God, yet would still go through the motions of idol worship even though his heart wasn't in it. I don't know much about masons, but I DO know quite a bit about Washington, and I believe his heart belonged to Jesus. Being a Mason isn't enough to undo all the other things he did for God. I'll look into the books you mentioned. Maybe I'll learn something.
  7. I regret to admit that I never do this. Yes it's biblical and I know I'm supposed to do it. I didn't know if it's laziness or anger that causes me not to. But yes we should. Could you imagine if an extreme liberal suddenly became a Christian and went super conservative overnight? That would be super exciting. I'll pray that happens to Biden. Curious, we are supposed to pray for our leaders, BUT what exactly are we supposed to pray for?? Wisdom, long life, good health, seeking God, etc??
  8. I can understand that, but don't you feel like that's wasting a vote? It's been over 100 years since someone other than a Republican or Democrat was president, and to be honest, I don't think ANYONE could win as an independent or other. Me personally, I will be suggesting to people to vote for Trump, even if they didn't like him, because I believe the alternative ( Biden ) is far worse. Maybe in 2028, if America exists, we can get a really good candidate who's not part of the 2 party system. We can hope.
  9. Trump will still win the election even if Trump gets convicted. These trials will not affect his ability to be president.
  10. Exodus 12:12-13 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. As our family prepared and led a Passover Seder a few years ago, the Lord reminded me of a truth which I had understood, but never had seen so clearly applied from the Passover story. Of course, the celebration of Passover for believers normally emphasizes the revelation of our Passover Lamb — the Lamb of God, Yeshua, who was delivered up, a Lamb without blemish, and sacrificed in our place as an offering for our sins. As Israel celebrates deliverance from slavery, we celebrate deliverance from the bondage of sin. We celebrate knowing that death no longer has power over us since we pass from this temporal world into the eternal when we die. Furthermore, when the children of Israel were passed over, while each of the firstborn of Egypt died, Israel did not depart as penniless slaves. They left carrying with them the riches of Egypt! Likewise, we who were spiritually “penniless” when we came to the Lamb, instantaneously inherited riches beyond our imagination. These are two of the wonderful lessons from the Passover event. As I studied in preparation for our Seder another truth has struck me powerfully– the blood needed to be applied! If the children of Israel had merely believed in the power of the lamb’s blood, and the word of Moses, but never applied it to their doorposts, the angel of death would still have killed their firstborn! A passive belief in the blood would not have saved them — action was required — the blood needed to be applied to their doorpost. Once the blood was applied, a line was drawn across which the angel of death could not pass! Most of us have an understanding of the power of the blood. But are we actively applying the blood to our lives and circumstances as a hedge of protection around us? No, not as a magic formula, but prayerfully in the spirit, as a cleansing and protective reality over our lives, families, loved ones, homes, cities, and nations. Assume your authority as a child of God this Passover season, and apply the blood over any area of your life that needs His supernatural protection and provision. Don’t take a passive approach in these last days, but be actively walking in the power of the blood, this Passover, and in the coming days….for truly, if there was ever a time we needed to be walking in His power, protection and victory, it’s Today! 11. Id leave them someplace where the only way to get to them is through a loaded 12 gauge. Humor aside, if the thieves are indeed violent, truth be told a car isn't worth anyone's life and leaving the keys outside would save on property damage. Shame the Canadian government can't crack down harder on the thieves though.
  12. C14 is an interesting side-case to the other "radioactive dating" methods. The starting assumptions in C14 dating are far more local, and variable, and therefore far less trustworthy. However, in the short term (over a few thousand years), we sometimes have local artifacts of actual known ages - against which to calibrate this method. I too have seen many carbon dated items give 'ages' into the future. My examples have all been under 10,000 years. But my impression is that this is a common outcome. It is a shame that modern journals don't publish full data sets anymore. There is, unfortunately, a positive results bias across all of science publication. This means we no longer have access to the data needed to assess the method itself. It is only "possible" if, a) one (or more) of the assumptions failed, or b) the sample was contaminated. Sure - but is it a testable "reason"? It has become a very convenient rationalization to simply disregard disagreeable data as sample "contamination". And then, Whoa!!! - what are we left with but data sets in overwhelming agreement. Funny how that happens. And therefore gets a big green tick. And by "known dates", you mean "dates" previously established by other methods using the same set of unverifiable assumptions. But not "known" in the sense of observed rock formation. I only point this out to demonstrate that allegiance to the method forces you to apply biased assumptions and use exaggerated language. Right - so that is the propaganda. - Apart from an investigator determining that the generated 'age' "dated to an appropriate period", how do we know that an assumption is "good"? - How do we distinguish between a "good" assumption and a false positive result? - What do we do with the "millions" of data points generated by "radioactive methods" that fall outside of expectations (apart from simply not reporting them)? - What do we do about the many examples of dating methods disagreeing with each other, or disagreeing with the fossils, or even disagreeing with themselves? Regardless of how you answer the above questions, these inexorable components of the methods remain "assumptions" - i.e. unobserved, unverified, unverifiable elements which are a logical requirement of accepting supposed 'ages'. Therefore, regardless of how pompous the posturing and propaganda, no-one is rationally obligated to accept the methods as valid.
  13. 1 Corinthians 2:12 - "Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God." As we grow, through revelation, in our understanding of God’s purpose for our life, living in our Christ identity as God’s sons and daughters, and our true riches in His glory, we will live out of the ascended life. When we don’t know what we already have, we are limited. CURSE OF THE IDLE MIND Many times we feel limited! Why? Answer: Because satan targets our minds with lies. The lies of the enemy sound like this: 1. You're not smart enough to teach God's Word. 2. What makes you think that God would use someone with a past like yours? 3. You are a complete failure in life. How can God use you? 4. If you pray for the sick they might not get healed. Just think of what people might say about you. 5. You are not qualified to demonstrate God's power. 6. You are flawed -- God cannot use someone like you! As we come to understand our Christ identity, we become aware of the boldness in Christ that we already possess which will be manifested in the lives that we will be changing. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  14. Micah 4:8;5:2 And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem. But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. There are many who are not aware of the very deep significance of Bethlehem,Yeshua’s (Jesus’) birthplace. Everyone knows that Bethlehem was a place where shepherds grazed their sheep, and where the Messiah was to be born, but do not realize that it was a town designated as the birthing place for lambs which were used for the Passover sacrifice. The Scriptures give significant details about this little town lying slightly south of Jerusalem. In Micah 4:8 we read about the “watchtower of the flock”, or in Hebrew, “Migdal Edar.” According to the “Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah”, by Alfred Edersheim, a Jewish believer in the late 1800’s, Migdal Edar was the location where the Messiah was to be revealed. This watchtower stood as a place of protection for the city from approaching enemies, but it was also utilized by shepherds to watch over the specific flocks from which sacrificial Passover lambs were taken. The shepherds who were tending these particular flocks were no ordinary shepherds. They were specifically trained by the Rabbis for a holy task. They had to insure that, as much as possible, every lamb was free of any blemish or injury, in order to be used for the Passover sacrifice. Since they were instructed by the Rabbis, they almost certainly knew of those passages in the Targums (Aramaic translations) and the Mishna associating the birth of the Messiah with “Migdal Edar”. For example, Migdal Edar is translated in one of the Targums as “The Anointed One of the Flock of Israel.” It is also written in the Mishna that “He spread his tent beyond Migdal Edar, the place where King Messiah will reveal Himself at the end of days.” Those shepherds had strong hints of Messiah’s advent in the very town where they lived so that when the angelic host appeared announcing his arrival, they responded immediately and went to worship Him. We too have increasing signs of His soon Second Coming. Are we also prepared to respond? Our readiness to act in faith and worship will show how well we understand the signs of our own times. With so much work to be done, let us stay awake and be inspired by the expectation of his soon arrival – for, just like those shepherds of Bethlehem, we truly were born for such a time as this! 15. Exodus 12:3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: ‘On the tenth day of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household. Joshua 4:19 Now the people came up from the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and they camped in Gilgal on the east border of Jericho. 20 And those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up in Gilgal. Matthew 21:8-9 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. The Temple Institute in the Old City of Jerusalem has been preparing temple articles, priestly garments and studying for years to prepare a priesthood for service in a proposed rebuilt temple on the Temple Mount. A recent news article reported that training had begun for the preparation of the Passover sacrifice. The day for the training was the 10th of Nisan, the day designated in the Old Testament for choosing the Passover lamb. Since the eyes of the Jewish people are still partially blinded to the true identity of their Messiah, most of them don’t know that the ultimate Passover Lamb was already sacrificed 2000 years ago. The 10th of Nissan was an historic day in the history of our faith. Not only was it the day the Passover Lamb was chosen and brought into the houses of the Israelites in Egypt – it was also the very day that the children of Israel, freed from slavery, finally crossed into Jordan entering the “Promised Land” for the first time. And one other significant event happened on this day: Yeshua of Nazareth (Jesus, called Christ) entered Jerusalem on a donkey, just as the prophet Zechariah had said He would [Zech. 9:9] as crowds of Israelites shouted “Hosanna!” or “Save now!” to Him, confidently identifying Him as their savior and Messiah. In effect, the entire nation was choosing their “Passover lamb” who was to deliver them from sin and death! But the leaders of the nation rejected Him… …and so modern Israel is still waiting for the Messiah, even here in the Promised Land, while He continues to be revealed as the Savior of the world in the Gentile nations. There is a remnant of Jews who have discovered Him, who have chosen their Passover Lamb carefully and who know He is without blemish, and a growing number have also come to live in Israel in fulfillment of God’s promise to restore the nation in the latter days. But for most, Messiah’s coming is still in the future… There is a “Promised Land” for every soul who carefully chooses his Passover Lamb, Yeshua the Messiah, whether Jew or Gentile. It is the promise of deliverance from sin, death, and Hell, into eternal life in a New Heavens and a New Earth. Our Passover Lamb, Yeshua, is the only way of entry into this Land. Choosing Him has made us “priests” who offer spiritual sacrifices of prayer that His salvation will be known all over the world, and finally, once again, here in Israel. Never miss a devotion again! 16. Sorry - a bit late to the party. I'd suggest that there are far greater problems with "radioactive dating" than the old earth assumption. 1- The logic of "radioactive dating" is compromised by a fundamental, necessary, irreducible reliance upon a slew of unverifiable assumptions (and yes - that includes isochron dating). If even a single one of those assumptions happens to be wrong, then any supposed "ages" generated by the methods are entirely meaningless. 2- There is already a lot of evidence that the assumptions are commonly false (e.g. by testing newly generated rock formations). In fact, older geological papers commonly use the failure of these assumptions to explain why their data didn't line up with expectations. 3- The common impression of generated 'ages' being in overwhelming agreement is a demonstrable lie. It is very easy to find examples of "ages" disagreeing with each other. Or 'ages' that are so far outside of expectation as to be automatically rejected. Or where the 'ages' are rejected because they disagreed with the assumed fossil 'ages'. I recently read an old paper that tested the same sample (a single zircon (rock crystal)) seven times using the same method, generating seven different 'ages' (with non-overlapping errors). Furthermore, these methods really should be in agreement more often - because many of the methods have been calibrated against each other by, a) rejecting 'ages' that disagree with those 'ages' generated by more trusted methods (i.e. leaving only agreed 'ages'), and b) literally calibrating one method to the other (i.e. using two methods, then using the 'age' generated by one to establish the decay rate of the other method). This practice should generate a bias towards broad agreement between the methods - which is still not achieved (despite the propaganda). Another bias is due to the detection limits of the equipment - meaning that the method chosen is determined by the expectation of the investigator. That is, only certain methods can be theoretically used for certain expected 'ages'. Therefore, it is common for investigators to only use methods they consider to be valid for the 'ages' they are expecting. I therefore don't trust "radioactive dating" whatsoever. I'm sure they can generate a relative pattern - but nothing precise enough to produce anything resembling a trustworthy 'age'.
  17. It's a lock with many, that's for sure. We will just have to wait for that day and see. It's nerve-racking to me. I know that God is in charge, but that doesn't stop my worry-meter from running overtime.
  18. I personally know of many Christians in service to our Lord in the joy and certain hope of Jesus that do not or did not have any strong desire to be baptized in water. In fact I know one friend that opposed it for years. Yet when told by the elders that he must be baptized if he is to lead a ministry work he spent time in prayer with his wife then in obedience to the elders he and his wife both were baptized. Was he strong in his ministry duties? Yes! Was he an extremely active witness of the gospel of Jesus? Yes! I had the job duty to have facilities prepared for water baptisms for some 14 years and so saw and heard the testimonies of many a Christian, a whole lot of them waited years to be baptized in water.
  19. But if the RNC sees he can't win the general, can't they do something, or is it a lock with the delegates no matter what? And I'm seeing reports Trump is also loosing a lot - swing voters, etc. . . .
  20. God is awesome. He provides my need perfectly, for furthering my sanctification. I need not worry despite the woes of this world, for my hope is certain in Christ, my Lord Jesus.
  21. Well, there is no law forbidding a person in prison from running for President. Not even a felon. However, even if he is found guilty of any of these charges - which I don't think he will be, but I could be wrong, it's just my thinking that he won't get prison time. The goal is to make him lose face, break him, and "cancel" him. All these things do is to bolster him and his base. As for your question - there is no plan B. Not to my knowledge.
  22. OK, I hinted at it, but I think there's good reason to expect that Trump won't prevail in the legal arena and will be forced out. What happens then? Is there a conservative plan "B"?
  23. By Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent KYIV/BUDAPEST (Worthy News) – The United States confirmed Wednesday that it secretly shipped long-range missiles to Ukraine for use in its conflict with Russia. The missiles, which Kyiv already used twice, were contained in a $300 million military aid package for Ukraine that U.S. President Joe Biden approved on March 12, U.S. sources said. The confirmation came while Biden signed into law an aid package providing military assistance to Ukraine after the Senate passed a bill containing nearly $61 billion in aid to Ukraine. Additionally, $26 billion in military aid will be transferred to Israel and $8 billion for the Indo-Pacific. However, before the aid package was passed, the U.S. already sent ATACMS, short for Army Tactical Missile System, at President Biden’s order, said U.S. State Department spokesman Vedant Patel. The missiles were used for the first time in the early hours of April 17, launched against a Russian airfield in Crimea that was about 165 km (103 miles) from the Ukrainian front lines, U.S. officials said. Ukraine reportedly used the weapon a second time overnight against Russian forces in southeastern Ukraine. ‘SIGNIFICANT NUMBER’ White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters that a “significant number” of the missiles had been sent to Ukraine and said “we will send more.” U.S. officials declined to say how many missiles had been delivered. Yet they have a longer striking distance — up to 300 kilometers (186 miles) than the version of the weapon with a range of roughly 165 kilometers (103 miles) provided by the U.S. in October. “We did not announce this at the onset to maintain operational security for Ukraine at their request,” Patel said. Yet the Pentagon initially opposed the long-range missile deployment, fearing the loss of the missiles from the American stockpile would hurt U.S. military readiness, according to sources familiar with their thinking. There were also concerns that Ukraine would use them to attack targets deep inside Russia. However, Russia’s use of North Korean-supplied long-range ballistic missiles against Ukraine in December and January led to a change of heart, a U.S. official said. WARNING RUSSIA Another factor in U.S. decision-making was Russia’s targeting of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, added the official speaking on condition of anonymity. “We warned Russia about those things,” the official said. “They renewed their targeting.” Also high on Ukraine’s shopping list is ammunition, with the U.S. pledging to ramp up production of shells from 30,000 a month to 100,000 by next summer. Ukraine used over 2 million shells during the 26-month war, a rate of more than 75,000 a month, said General James Mingus, the Army’s vice chief of staff. Kyiv how hopes it will soon receive more weapons as Russia pushes forward in a war that has already killed and injured hundreds of thousands of people, officials say. 24. What a great scripture there Ad Hoc. The `upward call` means the `on top calling. ` Thus, we know there are other calling too - to the earth, to the New Jerusalem and to the third heaven.
  25. Yes, dear old contender, Ad Hoc, We so love to get our teeth into whatever and develop the argument. Now obviously we would be aware of the person we are talking to whether the topic is suitable for them. As I said earlier, I am doing this with the atheist viole. She will have to admit that what was given to her from God`s word is true as it comes to pass.
