  2. As important as Trinitarian theology it, it is more important that we all believe in the genuine Jesus Christ. Trinitarian theology is one of the most important evidences that we in fact believe in the genuine Jesus. But it is not the end of our faith but the means to the end (which is faith in Jesus Christ who: is God the Word incarnate came to Earth in the ways prescribed by prophecy died on the cross for the sins of humanity * rose from the grave on the third day ascended to heaven 40 days later rules from heaven seated at the right hand of the Father will return at the end of time * 1 Timothy 4:10 / 1 John 2:2 do not indicate universalism (all humans are saved no matter what) but that all human beings potentially have the opportunity to be saved. John 3:16-18 / Ephesians 2:8-10 and other places indicate that faith / belief in Jesus activates our prepaid (in Christ's blood) account of forgiveness for all sin / salvation from eternal damnation / eternal life with Christ. Only man and the devil want to tamper with this clear cut and easily verifiable (by scriptures) truth.
  3. This is what I would consider a PERSONAL ATTACK ... this will not be tolerated.
  4. Report the posts. I didn't read through this thread. Just so you all know ... REPORTING posts is the only way that we can keep civility on the forums if you feel as if you are wronged! There are NOW 18,000 posts a month ... I venture to say ... I read perhaps 1,000 of them!
  5. I am quite rusty on this. The Christian Research Institute founded by the late Dr. Walter Martin may have resources to answer your questions about Christadelphian beliefs and their founding. If memory serves, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (Jehovah's Witnesses) essentially based their beliefs on much of the Christadelphian beliefs. Christadelphians wiki. Martin's book "Kingdom of the Cults" is a good read and mentions Christadelphians as I recall.
  6. He keeps saying im,in a sect which I am,not. He also apposes Christ in that he argues against what Jesus says much like the pharisees.Seeing these are his works it appears that he is antichrist.
  7. Ordinarily, I deal with lust on a daily basis (as we are all generally up to our eyeballs in opportunities to lust these days... both incidental and deliberate). I spoke to a couple of customers in short shorts on matters about their mail delivery that wasn't so pressing that they it couldn't have waited. But I went ahead with the conversations (usually not a big deal, 1 John 1:9, and move on)... but this time I felt the guilt that I went out of my way to have these conversations... 1 John 1:9 confess to the Lord our sins and he is faithful and just to already be forgiving us for all sin. I know this is a weakness in faith issue (about 1 John 1:9) as we tend to worry if it's enough (which is weakness in faith in God's word that it is enough because he said it is). So, I guess I'm asking for prayer that my faith is stronger even more than my foolish lust. I love my LORD. And I want that love to trump all things and especially moments of temptation when it grabs me and it's hard to think of anything else. It truly is a war, between the flesh and the spirit. Thank you for your time and for your most coveted prayers.
  8. Thank you all for your input. After having read your posts and suggestions I feel full of relief. My husband and I have been attending services at our local Church (non Christadelphian) and have found them very inspiring and they feel ‘right’. Yes, I’m thinking I need to avoid a label, and will read my Bible with openminded joy. I do believe God will direct me in the right way as long as I remain teachable. Your input has been invaluable, I am most grateful
  9. First you said Jesus wasnt talking about the abomination of desolation tgat Daniel spoke of then you quoted Jesus saying he is talking about the abomination of desolation spoken of by daniel. LOL
  10. Well, I would say keep things simple when explaining things to them. Simple and sincere. Don't overwhelm them with Christianeze language. The change they see in you will also be a testimony to them.
  11. I found something that as I slept that felt like a round scab on my right temple (in my sideburn) that I picked at until it was gone. It's swollen a little and bled a bit. But I am afraid it might have been a tick that got on me somehow. I'm not certain. But if it is, those little buggers can cause big trouble. I'm hoping it was just a scab, but for the life of me I don't recall getting a pin sized injury right where my glasses temple usually is. Please pray for me. It's always something. Ugh. Thank you thank you, so much!!!
  12. If you have asked for forgiveness and are trusting (having faith) in Christ as your Savior, you are not going to hell. If you want to listen to a good pastor on YouTube, check out Dr. David Jeremiah, Turning Point Ministry. Or maybe look for him on TV. He is easy to understand, I think you would like him. But do try to find a good church, too.
  13. Acts is a historical account of the Church, not a template for how we “get” the Holy Spirit. We have the Epistles of the Apostles for that. Notice Paul was surprised they had not had the Holy Spirit through the hearing of the Gospel. They were actually still on Johns preaching of a pre crucified Christ. the birth of the Church with the Apostles and Jewish people from all over the world is just as historic and non repeating as the first coming of the Lord Jesus. The opening of the doors by Peter to the gentiles is historic and cannot be repeated or used as a guideline for how to get the Holy Spirit. We now have clear scripture that every believer on the Lord Jesus has the Holy Spirit, anyone who doesn’t is “none of his” Rom 8:9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

  15. seems like a perfect resemblence to me, even the lady agrees!
  16. schools out ( well not for another week here )
  17. It really is sad. To some people instances like that are their main contact with the Gospel. The precedent they set is really unfortunate.
  18. We should remember it is not God who delays the 'restoration process but MAN who FAILS to REPENT of his wickedness ! It will not be any different in the future, restoration will not happen automatically...there is a little matter of humility, submission and repentance !
  19. "He redeemed us in order that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit." - Gal 3 "You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise." - Gal 3 "I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud, and that they all passed through the sea. They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ." - 1 Cor 10 "God had planned something better for us, so that together with us they would be made perfect." - Hebrews 11 (Speaking about the OT people of faith in Jesus) Your understanding and insight is suspect.
