  2. I don’t think people here appreciate the size of the hole that katie’s marriage fell into. Pull him aside and talk to him? Katie wouldn’t be here sounding so desperate if it were that simple. Her response about his spiritual condition is exactly what I expected to hear. No simple answers. We have no way of knowing what’s happening in this man’s head. Chemical imbalance in his brain? Chronic depression? Disappointment that the farming thing is not as financially viable as he hoped? One thing that is clear, he’s avoiding his home. This friend is his escape — his double life — his alter ego. He’s lost connection with his children, his wife feels like a stranger, and he’d rather be elswhere. We can all sit here and say he shouldn’t act this way, but it won’t change him. Katie, my advice is to buckle in for a rough ride ahead, pray for discernment to know what to do, and conduct yourself in piety. Maybe God will open his eyes and spare him. It’s been known to happen. Look for an online support group for farmers/homesteaders.
  3. Of course—- every sin was paid for on the Cross..... “ Behold the Lamb Of God, Who takes away the sins of the World.....”
  4. I just clean and trying to keep it safe from bacteria. Between now and Monday, I will surely fine my way out of here
  5. I find this post to be somewhat typical of the OSAS movement, in which there is no scripture, but only the person’s opinion, based on some kind of human reasoning, rather than the mind of Christ, that comes from the teachings of Christ. “If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire. Matthew 18:8-9 JLB
  6. Thank you dear friend, I am going to Mission in Ireland first, to evangelise and to plant a Church and Minister to immigrants - mostly Polish Catholics and Eastern European immigrants and the unsaved as I trust He would have me do. There are so many unsaved in Ireland now. It is almost as it was when St. Patrick returned all those hundreds of years ago to Mission here. Then, when the Church is established, I will, God Willing, repeat the process again in the Germany/Netherlands border area and in Norway, as He wills and enables.
  7. Every sin ?including idolatry, Pagan faith, atheism...?
  8. Power over the 1/4th of the pie to kill. Power over 1/4th of the earth to kill. In Christ Montana Marv
  9. When he shows his unforgiveness to the homosexuality Every sin that every homosexual ever committed has been payed for at the Cross.Like any other sinner ( That would be you and I ) they have to “ cash in” by “ turning to God,with faith in Jesus Christ” . Simply believe 1cor15:1-4
  10. Thank you all so very much, God Bless you today.
  11. @Tzephanyahu thanks again for the effort you put in in His Name and on our behalf I am blessed.
  12. Nice post, OP! I'm new around here, but I have seen some significant changes since first logging on. Most importantly, the discussions and camaraderie on the forum has resulted in a greater longing for knowing God and understanding His Word. I feel like a teenager again...so thirsty for learning and growing! The measurable difference is more time in prayer and study and research and far less/no time wasted on worldly distractions. Praise the Lord. I could go on and on about how much I love this place, but my daughter needs my attention...
  13. Well now let’s consider grandma’s point of view. She knows how much work it is to raise a baby. You can’t just stick a baby in the corner all day. It’s hard work for long hours, and a huge responsibility. Probably what’s happening here is that grandma doesn’t really want to be a full-time caretaker for another baby, so she’s jacked up her price to the point that she knows figureofeighty won’t pay her. Figureofeighty, let me tell you it gets very messy when grandma watches your baby all day every day — especially in a dysfunctional family. I’m sure your grandma is a kind woman, and I’m sure you trust her to watch your baby, and all of that, but lemme tell you, stuff happens. It gets complicated. There will be complaints and accusations that grandma isn’t available for other things, or grandma isn’t paid enough, or you’re the favorite granddaughter, etc. God may be allowing this obstacle to stop you from making a mistake with her. If I were you, I would go through the school to find childcare options. There’s probably some kind of program to connect students with low-cost caretakers.
  14. A rather harsh response from someone I considered to be a friend.......perhaps you are the one that needs to “ take heed”.......... “ BE KIND to one another, forgiving one another,Even as God HAS FORGIVEN YOU”Who do you think put this in Paul’s head? The same One that Said we had to forgive others to be forgiven.Paul said nothing that Jesus ( by the Holy Spirit) did not tell Him to say.Something really big happened between these two statements made by the same Person, namely Jesus. It’s called the Cross- it changed everything.Especially the impetus for forgiveness.ALL sins are forgiven now and not on a conditional basis. We don’t forgive to be forgiven anymore....thankfulness for that Grace should make us open to forgive others. If God has forgiven wretches like you and me, why shouldn’t we be eager to forgive others?
  15. This was also my response to the OP. I've found that surrender is crucial for any deep desire. You have to get to the state where you're fine either way. Accept God's will, not your desire. Then, if it is God's will, you will be ready for the blessing. Take courage, @Figure of eighty. God is kind.
  16. Please hear me @Nadjeschda the Bible does say laziness is a sin, and there are some people who don’t want to work. Paul confronted this in the early church. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. — ‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3:10-12‬ And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. — 1 Timothy‬ ‭5:13‬ The early church had rules on who could receive charity funds. Widows were rejected if they had other options. I agree with you that most Western Christians are living in decadence with money that could be better spent. However, the solution is not to give money foolishly for causes or programs that don’t follow God’s ways.
  17. Yes I saw such an attack from an american christian against other american christians once - on base of disinterest in social justice and suffering of others. I was not a real believer than and it was a powerfull moment in my conversion to stand side by side in an intelectual fight with a christian. However I am a fan of Franciscus of Assissi and things like prosperity church will always be a heresy for me.
  18. @Jayne: Wow, girl. Just wow. That historical break down was so helpful. I have to read up on my Old Testament so I can be a boss like you! <3 The last verse is a declaration of his faith and trust in God. No matter what's going on, God is the only salvation.
  19. I slowly get what is going wrong with rich US christians: they identify charity with socialism instead of Jesus. However socialism at best stole the concept from Jesus, who is the true inventor and master of it. But socialism is essentially god hating. You are giving socialism a great victory against god if you let it vail the origin of charity and destroy it's power in this way.
  20. I am pretty sure we are saying the same thing here. The first and second beast of rev. 13 rule together. this was my point on the Word "before", meaning in sight of as opposed to Preceding in order.... Understanding this rightly makes the beast that rises out of the bottomless pit beginning at the fifth trumpet, Killing the two witnesses, and having the harlot riding him is a distinct beast. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (Rev 16:13-14) So this fourth beast, of Revelation is the one that Israel has to deal with in their time of Trouble. And the Woman(Harlot) riding atop of this beast cannot be Israel. But is what is left of the Apostate church, and they will come against Israel in the War of Armageddon. What man do not see is that there were two woman gone into the wilderness in rev. 12. Bot of these woman were not virgins. One fled into the wilderness, This is Israel, the fleeing is done as a result of the Abomination of desolation, and one is the church of Laodicea who is carried by the wings of an eagle. Both are nourished in the wilderness, the church produces offspring, and after the day of Christ, one of the Woman, what is left of the church is the Harlot riding the beast. Many people have said the harlot is Catholicism, But know this, she has harlot daughters too, Protestantism and what not. As I said earlier in my comments to Marylin, The Laodicean church age is a conglomeration of all the church ages, They are unifying as we speak in apostacy, (Coexist movement) under the false spirit of the age, the Kundalini/shekinah spirit, while those of the True church, the Overcomers are uniting under the Spirit of Truth. And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; (Rev. 3:14) Jesus Names himself the AMEN, which means "truth" if this word is used at the beginning of a sentence it is usually translated as Verily, or truthfully, as in "verily, verily I say unto you..." At the end of a sentence it is spoke as Amen, So Jesus, in naming himself here the Amen is placing this church as the final end time church. After judgment, at the day of Christ what is left of her is the Harlot, and her daughters. Sorry to veer off topic, but I felt I had to address that in this comment, as the proof text of this Laodicean end time church, which we are all a part of.
  21. If you cite the following quote: "Judgmental and wrong. I am in strong chronic pain and can not answer this threat 24 hours around the clock." yes.
  22. American Christians bemoan the horrible condition of our church system. We complain of dead churches, unregenerate believers, lack of Holy Spirit inspiration, and an overall sense of spiritual malaise. Yet, when you criticize any particular part of the church system, you get resistance. Somehow we are doing everything right while we complain that everything is wrong.
  23. "Truth" is always supported by scripture. We will be in heaven when the 70th week begins, and then you will find that beginning will be marked by the 7th seal. There is a strange phenomenon where scripture is concerned: imagine someone in a healing line, to get prayed for, after the doctor had giving him or her 6 months to live: the preacher tells them, "Don't you know that Jesus stripes are for your healing?" They answer back, "well, I believe that is only spiritual healing." Yet, here they are in a healing line, with HOPE and no faith in any healing scripture. IS there a basis for physical healing by His stripes? Of course there is. But one must BELIEVE the scripture to receive any benefit from it. Another example: the scripture is very clear that God allowed seals 2 through 4 authority to operate over 1/4 of the earth; yet people read it as if 1/4 of the earth is killed! It is not difficult to see that the 70th week ends with the 7th vial. It is not difficult to see that the midpoint is marked with the 7th trumpet. Is it then difficult to imagine that God has marked the entire 70th week with 7's? Jesus words to me: "...you could find the entire 70th week 'clearly marked.'" HOW can we find the entire week "clearly marked?" Simple: God used the same marker for the start, midpoint and end.
  24. Today
  25. Thank you all for your kind caring posts.
  26. I'm not positive it is the same bottomless pit. I'd have to do some studying on that.... don't think it ever crossed my mind.
