    • Jesus never said that He will send only Elijah.  Unless the passage of the two witnesses in Revelation 11 is completely allegorical or spiritual, the two witnesses have bodies and are seen as the plague bringers which are killed and brought back to life.
    • Hi Davida.  Thanks for your response. I had a look at the first link and did a search through the article for the words "buy" or "sell" and didn't find them.  That's a fairly crucial part of the Mark prophecy.  It says the purpose of the Mark will be to control buying and selling.  Anyone who doesn't take the Mark will not be able to pay the bills.  The incentive for taking the Mark is fairly obvious in this context. In a world where even Christians believe that it is money which makes the world go round and that it is money which gives life (i.e. they must "earn a living" by working to get money) the importance of the Mark being used to control buying/selling becomes clear. Any interpretation which does not account for the stated purpose of the Mark (i.e. to control buying/selling) is almost certain to be inaccurate. I think all of us are still trying to work out how ISIS fits into prophecy.  Certainly it would be foolish to deny that they must have some role to play, but that role must be consistent with the bigger picture, too. How do you see the "mark of Islam" being used to control buying/selling?
    • Hi Your closest friendnt, Glad you have thought upon this & are coming to understanding. May the Lord continue to open up His word to you, bro. regards, Marilyn.
    • Well said.  In connection with these observations we have this passage (Ezek 34:1-12) and is applicable to many churches: 1And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks? 3Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock. 4The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them. 5And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered. 6My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them. 7Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD; 8As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, becausethere was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock; 9Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD; 10Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them. 11For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. 12As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
    • That may be your personal preference, but what saith the Scripture?  And the apostles themselves were scorned as unlearned men.  I guess you would not be too happy having an apostle come and preach to you.

      Well bro,
it's like this, if one believes that he is truly saved and know in his heart that GOD and Jesus dwell in him, than he is no longer dead, but alive in Christ!
You are called to witness;  the Way, the Truth and the Life and that's Jesus Christ... In general, the two witnesses is referring to Believers, You!(Jews & Christians)in YESHUA, CHRIST JESUS. The disciples(Jews)were told to wait in Jerusalem for the promise and to be witness"(Acts1:8).
NEVER BEFORE IN SUCH ALONG TIME, THAT TWO WITNESSES ARE UNFOLDING BEFORE OUR VERY EYES..
THEY ARE ONCE AGAIN TOGETHER AND IN HARMONY WITH THE TRUTH GOD ALMIGHTY AND HIS SON JESUS CHRIST... You are that temple, put together by God. "They will come from far away to help build the temple"  Zachariah 6:15.
That why John said, "he did not see the temple in Jerusalem, because "GOD and JESUS are the TEMPLE."
      Revelation 21:22.
I hope this help you on the Two witnesses.
      God bless
