    • There is unity in the ONE we pray to.
    • Isaiah 34:8 For it is the day of YHWH's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.   9 And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. Sixth Seal (One Year) For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?   Psalms 91: 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
    • A friend of mine (a pastor) and I (a music director at the time) used to sit on the porch and discuss this very issue. For most of us, something is just missing. He ended up writing a book on the subject called, "And No Religion, Too. Thoughts on the Spectator Church". Personally, I've learned to just not expect much from church. I could do completely without the sermon, but I very much enjoy Sunday school (because it is give and take) as well as the Wednesday meeting in homes. The latter is the best because we get to know people in a way that is not possible in "church". But I've been a Christian since 1981 and now I just see "church" as a tiny part of the whole thing. I only go for two reasons: To be blessed by others and bless others. There are only two things that really matter in this age: my relationship with my Creator and a subset of that - my relationship with my fellow man. Church enhances the former by enhancing the latter. And sometimes I very much need to bounce my ideas about what the bible is telling me off the brains of other believers.
    • Wouldn't it be better for the Southern Baptist to be supporting 52,000 missionaries rather than just 1,750 with the same amount of money? Simple math tells us that far more people could be reached in a shorter period of time. Now consider if all denominations supporting western missionaries started supporting native missionaries instead how many people around the world could be reached.  Let me give you an example as to why native missionaries are far superior to western missionaries. Aside from the financial aspect, native missionaries share the same culture, already speak the language, and can get into places many western missionaries may not have access to.  The people group I serve originates from one of the most dangerous places in the world for westerners, the Sulu archipelago. I often travel to the town of Maluso on the island of Basilan as part of my work and I have asked American missionaries here to accompany me on trips to Basilan on several occasions. Either their sending agencies don't allow them to travel to high risk areas such as Basilan, or they simply refuse to go. When I travel there, a lot of advance preparation has to be taken which involves the military and the Philippine police (You can google Maluso along with the word attack, massacre, beheaded, or ISIS to get an idea of why). On the other hand, there are Filipino missionaries that live there full time who don't require around the clock protection. This would also be true in many parts of the world where westerners may be a target of hostilities.  To me it seems to be a no brainier, the Church needs to get away from the old model of sending so many western missionaries to the developing world. It's too costly and it's inefficient.
    • I have no clue what you are pointing out here. Its obvious the wrath of God and the Lamb begins at the 6th seal. Meaning what comes before is not God's wrath. Which would be most of the last week. Meaning the start of the week right up to wrath, is not wrath, supporting what many of us say in regards to the rapture; that the church is taken out before the wrath of God, at the 6th seal, deep into the last week, after enduring the trials of the beast. "You might be able to argue the first 5 seals aren't the wrath of God, but with the 6th, that can no longer be successfully maintained by even the staunchest believer in mid/ post-trib eschatology"  Only pretrib doctrine would argue against your above quote as it defies a bedrock premise.  What is your point?
