    • Hey at least it's colorful not just your ole run of the mill green pond scum
    • The rest part 2   Heb 4:7-11 (7)  Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. (8)  For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. (9)  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. (10)  For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. (11)  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.   So David mentioned a certain day in were men would have rest somehow. Here is a comment from Albert Barnes:   (Albert Barnes) (Hebrews 4:7   …A certain day - A particular time; he mentions today particularly. That is, in the time of David, he uses the word “today,” as if time was “then” an offer of rest, and as if it were then possible to enter into it. The object of the additional thought was to show that the offer of rest was not confined to the Israelites to whom it was first made; that David regarded it as existing in his day; and that man might even then be invited to come and partake of the rest that was promised….)   So now we go to verse 8:   Heb 4:8 (8)  For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.     Most people acquaint the word Jesus with Joshua here, but I have read a certain commentary that shows of people a long time ago acquainting this with Jesus, and anyhow the thought is progressive here, it goes from the time of the wilderness, to the time of David, unto the time of Jesus. In Jesus there was rest as long as he was with the disciples etc, but complete and full rest would only come after Christ died on the cross, resurrected, and sent back the Holy Ghost.   Jesus did speak of a day wherein rest would come, and let us go to this scripture and an old testament scripture that confirms rest would come from this day.   Joh 16:7 (7)  Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.   When was the Holy Ghost sent?   Act 2:1-4 (1)  And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. (2)  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. (3)  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. (4)  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.   On the day of Pentecost. And now to the old testament scripture.   Isa 28:11-12 (11)  For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. (12)  To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.   This points to Pentecost when they received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and began to speak in other tongues. And it associates tongues with rest.   And here is another scripture to confirm this scripture is referring to tongues:   1Co 14:21 (21)  In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.   Pentecost happened on the first day of the week.   So let us go back to scriptures.   Heb 4:8-9 (8)  For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. (9)  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.   As a result of Jesus mentioning this other day (the first day of the week, wherein came rest), there remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. This rest is a complete rest, and what was under the old covenant remains under the new, they had rest from their enemies and a day of rest, we have rest from spiritual enemies, and a day of rest, as a result of Jesus mentioning this other day.   It is a new covenant, a new day, a new rest.
    • Once again it was the regulations that were added to Gods laws, for memory that added 513 or 613 more regulations which are not Gods laws. I'll say again, if Jesus sinned he in not our savior. Mathew 5:18  For truly I tell you, until heaven & earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of  a pen, will by any means disappear  from the law until everything is accomplished .                  Heaven & earth are still with us. He was speaking to his Jewish hearers & they knew exactly what law he was talking about, there was no ambiguity in his message.
    • Repentance is acknowledging one's own truth about what they have been in denial about. Repentance is facing judgment of God. It is the willingness, at all costs, to step in the Light to be exposed and vulnerable to judgment. Not only that, but prepared to take responsibility for it; even if it means rejection, segregation, abandonment, and annihilation. Repentance is an act of faith. It is worthy of God's forgiveness and love, though most don't understand this because they have not yet experienced unconditional love. Repentance is the gate which opens the door to the kingdom of God. Repentance is being True. Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life. Repentance on a daily basis is a way to live truthfully.
    • Acts 13:42 the gentiles converts wanted to hear more. Why did the disciples not say come tomorrow on the first day.? If Jesus broke the law he is a sinner & not our savior.  He broke their traditions defiantly not Gods law.

      Ephesians 3:17-19
      17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
      18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
      19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

      Revelation 16:10-11 10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, 11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

      Revelation 9:20-21 20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
