    • Blessings Sis,,,      I am sure you appreciate Brother Joe's Scriptures as I do,excellent! Willa is correct,it is very common with the Pentecostals an d I agree with here 100%,I have to disagree with gotquestions.org   they are usually pretty good but I don't think so in this case,,,,,,also,Ezra's reply is spot on,,,,,great Thread!     Sis,I "plead the Blood" often ,though I am not a "Pentecostal" I have learned much from them & I do attend a Pentecostal church(& a non-denominational),,,,,,,BUt pleading the Blood is most beneficial in Spiritual Warfare,we "speak" to declare & decree as we Stand on the Position of Victory by the POwer of the Holy Spirit with all Authority given us by Jesus ,,,,,,you see, there is no "magic" in the words but there is Power in those Words,,,,you are claiming wchat is rightfully yours before the enemy, the enemy must "hear" because only God can know a man's heart & what He is praying silently(his thoughts),,,,,,     Spiritual Warfare is all about the Sword of the Spirit, the Shield of Faith,,,the Full Armor of God,,,,,,the Sword is Gods Word, what is Written,,,,,I plead the Blood over my entire house ,every doorway, threshold & window,,,,,just as it was done at Passover, only I didn't need to slaughter a lamb, the Lamb of God is the Blood that was already shed & we remind the enemy of Gods Truth whenever he comes to steal, kill * destroy,,,,,Praise Jesus!                          With love-in Christ,Kwik
    • What assumption is that? I didn't make any assumption. The first line I put out was an assertion based on a conclusion drawn from a logical thread through Scripture where each is linked by context and language.
The title of the thread introduces the conclusion.
      The body proves the conclusion.
The conclusion then sums up the proof provided in the body.   First of all, the Kingdom of God is not synonymous with the Day of the Lord. Second of all, it is taken from the Bible directly. Now if you don't like it, you might show specifically why something does not match - but unlike you, I did start with the only reference for the "last trumpet" in the Bible and didn't do an apple and oranges comparison.
    • Yes, absolutely, the post-tribulation rapture theory is speculation. I do not claim that the rapture is defined as the "time when Christ does . . . ", I see it is what Christ does (not when He does it), He catches up His church. I do that, because the Bible says that is what He will do. Whether is it pre, mid, or post, is theory - it is interpretation. I like to take the Bible at it's word, so I prefer to make a distinction between what the Bible says, and what I think it implies. That being said, yes, I have a theory, but I am able to understand that what the Bible actually, and what people try to make it mean, are not always the same thing. The rapture is a predicted event, pre/mid/post are just theories of people. Where many differ (other that claiming that the rapture is when Jesus . . .), is that I prefer to just use what the Bible says, to arrive at my theory, instead of adding to what that Bible says, trying to make a theory that seems to work in a way that the evidence does not point to. In fact, I made posts the outlined things that the Bible actually says: and a thread about things it DOES NOT say: So, missmuffet, I would ask you, could you make similar lists, that deal with actual facts - real Bible verses, instead of speculations and interpretations of what you think the Bible might mean. That (to me) is the difference in approaches, that cause me conclude that while I have a theory. At least I have a theory backed up with facts, instead of inferences and arguments from silence, that so many choose to employ.
    • it took only six days because  Jesus is really good at what he does.....
    • This is a pretty emotional topic and, understandably so. As such, with the direction of the thread, we've decided to go ahead and lock it and let it rest a little while. God bless, Steve
