    • There is so much which could be said here, but rather than filling this thread up with what some may regard too long an article, I will simply offer a link to my own blog where I deal with the subject of the identity of the 'little horn' of Daniel 7. There is so much more in scripture that identifies the RCC as the whore than is revealed in Revelation. One must remember that the whore's name is "Mystery, Babylon the Great, Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth". In Bible prophetic symbolism, a woman in the NT is the church. In the OT it referred to Israel. A chaste woman, the true church. A whore or harlot, an apostate church. The whore of Babylon is an apostate church. An apostate church is a church fallen (is fallen) away from a true relationship...it has divorced itself from its marriage relationship with its Husband, and Revelation tells us that it is through its relationship with the "kings of the earth" that its unfaithfulness was confirmed. Anyway, for a rather long but detailed treatment of the prophecies of Daniel 2,7,and 8, see here.

But place it in the right environment -- some good ground, enough water -- it will sprout into a living sheaf of grain! • Isaiah 1:9   Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. Isaiah 10:20   And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.  Isaiah 10:21   The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God. Isaiah 10:22   For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness. Isaiah 46:3   Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:     Jeremiah 6:9   Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets. The remnants of Israel are all from the 12 tribes of Jacob.  This is common knowledge.  I gave you some examples, and if you read those chapters again  which I first gave, you will see that God is speaking about his people Israel, and we learn from that also, that if we do not circumsize our hearts we will not hear what God spoke to the prophets also concerning Israel, and therefore stumble in error, in doctrine.
Jeremiah 6:10   To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
    • Revelation 4-6 and 19 prove that the Church goes to Heaven (Christ does not remain on the Earth after the Rapture, and the saints do not come from a place they did not go); as for Jeremiah 23:5-6, that is speaking of Israel. We return with Christ at the Second Coming, where we reign with Him on Earth; then the Earth is destroyed after the Millennium, an New Earth is created, and New Jerusalem descends to it. In that respect, RustyAngeL is correct, as Revelation specifically says that God will dwell with men (Rev. 21:3). Where God is, there is Heaven. On an aside: you really need to apologize to RustyAngeL for being disrespectful. Worthy is a ministry, and we are specifically instructed in scripture to have respect for those who oversee ministry (which includes watchmen and moderators here). That is not how we are to conduct ourselves: it hurts our witness, and it hurts those who are doing their best in the Lord to serve in positions of trust and responsibility.
    • Those scriptures are speaking of the remnants of Israel, and how they will be brought into the kingdom after Christ returns.  The remnants are from the tribes of Israel unless you would like to rebut this?
