  9. I believe it has to do with the following: is the affliction caused by an unclean spirit? That's the real issue, not a.) unclean spirits are the cause of every human malady, or b.) that doesn't happen any longer. What I find is a propensity (eagerness among some) to blame Satan and unclean spirits for the evil of man when clearly, this is not the case. Neither Adam nor his wife were able to blame the serpent for their disobedience. The judgment of the dead answers that error in a definitive manner. An alternative is to blame human weakness and affliction on sin; specifically, someone sinned to be afflicted in the first place. That was dismissed by the Lord Himself in the 9th chapter of John. Ah, so now we find ourselves considering consequences which arise through no fault of our own because of a, b, c, and d together. In other words, according to the will and purpose of the Lord. What? The Lord will afflict someone who didn't otherwise deserve to be afflicted? Yes. Our Lord was afflicted for our sake and His blameless servant, Job, was afflicted greatly. Affliction, much like rain, falls upon the just and the wicked alike. That's hard for some to accept but nevertheless, it's true.

  10. As @Neighbor wrote, we have our share of such things here in the U.S.; Canada has as well. I have had two instances of institutional evil affect relatives and my adopted mother. I have written elsewhere how my father was kidnapped from his mother's house when he was three months old. My grandmother was colored (dark skin) according to the definition of Jim Crow laws and because of this, she wasn't treated like an American citizen in the southern state where she lived. She was much less than that, having effectively no rights under the law. The police didn't care and neither did the courts. My adopted mother was impregnated against her will (rape) when she was 16 and because of two factors --- a Christian family who blamed her for the pregnancy (it was her fault in their view) and her being turned over to the custody of the state due to "delinquency" on her part --- she was incarcerated in a Christian school for delinquent girls. It was funded by the state and operated by an evangelical (Baptist) mission organization. It was a house of horrors. Girls were beaten by staff, subjected to psychological torture, and some took their own lives. As for my adopted mother, she said that after a few months of humiliation and facing a tribunal of staff once per week, she decided to play along so she could eventually escape that place with her life. She said everything they wanted to hear and in return, the mission promised they would help raise her child and find a good Christian husband for her. When it came time to deliver her baby --- her first child and her only son --- she was brought to a local hospital under police supervision. Labor was traumatic and she started bleeding during delivery; she lost so much blood that her heart stopped beating and she was prounced dead. She said that she heard the doctor announce the time of her death in the delivery room. But then her heart started beating again, so staff started blood transfusions to aid her recovery. She was fully conscious when her newborn son was placed in her arms; one of the mission staff took him away. He would be adopted to a proper Christian family, she was told. First, the blood that was given to her in the delivery room was infected with Hepatitis C, something that wouldn't be discovered until her early 50's. Second, this was when my adopted mother started hating Christians and renounced her own faith. The Lord healed her of those terrible wounds, but it wasn't until I came to her that this happened.

  13. The initial sin that we have to repent of is our rebellion against God's authority. (All other sins are symptoms and consequences of that one). You can't trust in Jesus without that repentance - it would be a contradiction in terms. You can't have faith in Jesus without calling Him Lord. But then, if our faith (trust) and our confession are genuine, we will obey our Lord (Luke 6:46). As James puts it, faith that doesn't have some kind of practical outcome ("works") isn't a real living faith (James 2:14). So we are saved by faith - but works are the evidence of faith. No works, no faith.

Rom. 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. So then His Holy Spirit will dwell within the believer. Edit: And Rom. 5:17 For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

  18. Part of the context of this scripture carries with it the duties of the Husband also. He is to love his wife as Jesus loved the church.... That would be putting her needs ahead of his consistently. He should be ready to let a dozen or so big buys beat him half to death and then hang him on a tree for her. He should do all things in this life for her benefit, as Jesus did ours. I can't imagine any woman not submitting to someone like that.

  19. I'm reminded of when I was enraged at the Lord, brother. I wasn't angry with the Lord because of my childhood, being broke, how teeth fell out of my mouth, or the like. I was incensed because the Lord wouldn't let me die so my misery could finally end. I begged the Lord to let me die, but He refused. I screamed at the Lord but He wouldn't relent. What did the Lord declare? I shall live instead. I had fallen upon the caliche up on that mountain because I was too weak to remain upright. I didn't have the strength to stand but when the Lord said, Rise to your feet, that's what I did. I suddenly had the strength. I was totally confused and the Lord never addressed my senseless anger; I couldn't comprehend His will nor what He purposed to do. The Lord said that I had suffered brain damage from that long ordeal. I did indeed. I didn't understand anything until that day, two years later, when the Lord was pleased with my recovery. That was when the Spirit revealed His purpose toward my adopted mother, and why I was there with her. I arrived at the proper time, I became sick at the proper time, and I recovered at the proper time. She had cancer and liver disease... she needed me to care for her. I didn't know until the Lord revealed that to me. He doesn't always do that.

  20. I can only share one that I can think of right now, for the others deal with intercessory prayers. That wouldn't be kosher to talk about those. My wife lost the use of her legs from MS, and we weren't sure she would ever walk again. As the exacerbation came to an end, she regained a lot of function, but was very weak. She was still teaching, and it was a huge problem for her to continue with her job. She was an excellent teacher and was doing things with her kids that none of the other teachers seemed to be able to. So it wasn't just selfishness on my part that I thought God should heal her. Not just for us, but for her class also. Well things rocked on for several months and I kind of got upset with him for I know it's nothing for him to heal people. I have watched a little girl who was x-rayed for a surgery to remove a third kidney and after the church had anointed her with oil and laid hands on her, the kidney went away by itself (by the hand of God). Two sets of x-rays proving it was a healing. I went out in the backyard one evening and pretty much had a childish hissy fit. Shook my fist in his face and let him know I didn't think it was fair. After some time, I actually demanded that he at least tell me why. I know the voice was from God, for it would have been the furthest thing on my mind when he spoke in a soft, loving voice and basically said that it was between him and her, and it really wasn't any of my business. I was crushed, ashamed of myself, and reminded that she was not a total invalid, and I should thank him for that. Two months later he got her scooted up a list for a new drug which pretty much stopped the progression of the MS. Here 35 years later she's still getting around, though I would say barely. Both of us are in our 70 and have had a really good time in life. He didn't heal her, but still gave us a super life together. At 77 and 74 it looks like it may be a coin flip to see if we die before the Lord returns.

  21. Everything in creation has a function, as we see the angels being used in various ways. God chooses to use His creation to manage. As you said, God created the earth and placed men on it to tend it. Satan thought he had seriously undermined God's efforts when he tempted Eve. and he did do a lot of damage, but as changed ones through the blood of Christ we are new kingdom plants representing the future kingdom here on earth presently. In that sense we are forerunners of the new kingdom. Even in a fallen state men and women continue to have stewardship over the earth. Before sin, all they had to do was tend the visible creation and worship God. After sin we as believers have the additional task of spreading the word in whatever way the Lord gives us to do so. Faith is simply taking God at His word. If we do that we are believers as opposed to unbelievers who reject God and follow Satan. Either knowingly or unkowingly.

Nothing heretical I have found. They teach repentance on a daily basis. They say if you sin get up and confess it right away. I believe that too. I rather listen to the Orthodox Church then the word of faith teachers. Like Copeland and others.

  24. I so often find it amazing how after hearing a sermon at church, and receiving one of my devotionals in my emails, they both address the same topic I had been concerned with. Like gears from different sources that mesh together to bring about a common understanding of the word. For myself the devotionals I receive expound the word of God, Neighbor. In layman terms, like you said to 'inspire, reveal, encourage, point out something, edify etc. And to verify to me how we all experience similar ups and downs, and learn how God has provided his word to show us how we can apply his wisdom to our situation we're in. The two I receive are both from old friends I have known for years, working class guys just like us, who are led to reveal their thoughts to bless others according to God's word. Gives me new insight so often that bless me. And receiving them in the morning gives me a great start on the day ahead. "devotions as compared to God's inspired word the Bible" The devotionals I receive are the word of the bible as revealed from another brother sharing these nuggets of truth. Not compared to the word but led by the word from the word to bless others, as says the word to do. Thanks Neighbor...

  26. I think you're doing fine, @Thewhitedove. The lure of fleshly religion to condemn this or that is what you are to overcome, not being kind and compassionate toward your colleague. We are to love our neighbor as ourselves. Remember this: conviction is godly and a work of the Spirit, but condemnation is ungodly and a work of the flesh. The one who convicts this woman is the Lord; our place is to be gentle, meek, and patient. Our example is what speaks to others. Being pointed at, accused, and condemned is the example of defiled religion. It's powerless and hollow, lacking love.

  27. Of course you can "honor God" - by treating her with love and acceptance, by being kind and patient with her, by being the closest thing to Jesus she will ever likely encounter besides Jesus Himself (ideally). The child is now a reality - and loved by God. There's no reason you have to stop being friendly towards her. We were all corrupted by sin - before we found His grace. This friend is no different. She, like many others, has been deceived into thinking her sexual proclivities are morally acceptable. With a baby on the way, she is about to go through some challenging times (as is true for all new parents). This is an opportunity to show Her the love of God. Pray for her, see if she has needs you can help meet, get other Christians around her if possible. Only Jesus can give her righteousness. If you show her His love, perhaps He will use you to turn her heart towards Himself in repentance. If she asks, be honest about the truth - that God loves her overwhelmingly but is very clear regarding His disapproval of homosexuality. Then the choice will be hers as to what she does with that information. But otherwise, be Jesus to her as much as you have opportunity. "Love never fails".

  28. It seems to me that while cups are literally containers from which to consume whatever they are filled with, figuratively "cups are a statement about allotted portions given for related reasons to those specially chosen to partake of them." Psalm 16:1-11 A Michtam of David. (1) Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust. (2) O my soul, you have said to the LORD, "You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You." (3) As for the saints who are on the earth, "They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight." (4) Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take up their names on my lips. (5) O LORD, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. (6) The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance. (7) I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. (8) I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. (9) Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. (10) For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. (11) You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

  29. Hi, Kristina. Jeremiah 2:13 = “For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.” This is figurative of course. God is about to condemn Judah to be taken captive by Babylon for 70 years. He chooses the very young man, Jeremiah to pronounce to them why. They won't listen. According to this verse, they have done two things wrong [1] They have turned their backs on God who is the fountain of living waters. Living waters - representing the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. Living waters = running water, fresh and clean/clear. [2] To replace their worship of God, they made for themselves "cisterns". A cistern is a man-made pit or hole dug to store water. It can also be made hardened with something like clay. The water can get stagnant and even dry up. And if the cisterns BREAK as God claimed theirs were - then there is no water. He isn't talking about real cisterns. God is says that Judah has turned their back on HIM, the only God who can provide, protect, and save. And that they have turned to other gods who can do NOTHING. Why? Because they don't exist. They are just broken and empty imaginations.

  30. I sorta agree, and I sorta don't can't. I have to make decisions all day long. I just looked this below up again. "Various sources suggest that the average adult makes 33,000 to 35,000 total decisions each day, including what we will eat, what we will wear, what we will say, and how we'll say it" Etc etc........ I do pray in the morning thanking for another day, and acknowledge God for direction, and press on. If I'm going to do a particularly dangerous work on the saw, or share the gospel I'll say think a short desire for direction. I do talk to God through out the day, trying to practice the presence of God with me, think talk. I do not read the bible when I'm engaged in work or most anything in every day life. I have hidden his word in my heart for instant recall when needed. And that happens all day long. Being transformed by the re new ing of my heart. Adding light, storing it, ready when needed. Neighbor, I do believe as you said to pray about important decisions and look for appropriate verses to study. But I also do run mostly on auto pilot, depending on the light stored within, light, to recognize any darkness. What's neat is the needed word just sorta 'pops up' in my mind, and gives a trust in my actions/dialog. My understanding. Neat post, Neighbor. You got me thinking. Again. I agree that is usually the case, results of choices made, but not always/directly. We are branches abiding in the True Vine, Jesus. The Father is the vine tender and he prunes the branches. His way, not man's way. I believe many things happen/have happened in my life that were not of my choice. The father prunes, cuts off, unnecessary parts of me that hinder the bearing of fruit produced by the vine. I know I can do nothing unless I abide in Jesus. He produces all fruit. As a branch, I only bear his fruit. The longer the branch, the less fruit. The less of 'me' the more of Jesus, fruit. The vine tender removes what ever is hindering the bearing of more fruit, and will do it his way. The loss of a close friend, a comfortable church, a job, etc etc. Cut off. Why me Lord? He has a plan I know nothing about. Perhaps a new friend that will better influence me better spiritually and not worldly. A new church, not so comfortable but more honorable in the ways of glorifying the Lord. A better job that allows me to better serve God through new opportunities of service. My point is, some things we view as chastisement can simply be the vine tender pruning us. Believing by faith that ALL things work together for good to them that love God, gives trust in whatever the results. The more pruning, the less me, the more fruit to bear. More fruit is good. John 15:8 "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit;" My understanding. Thanks, FJK PS; Ultimately you are correct in that you 'chose' to follow Jesus, and his/our father will prune you. His way. Good choice. (I believe also in choice. I can anger or please God. choice...)

  35. God has spoken to me a few times and each time, it's as if I heard it or read it and the info arrived in my brain via those means but without having audibly heard or read it. I will obtain the understanding as if I heard it or will see the letters in my brain. They are in complete sentences. Here are some things He told me: 1. 'The devil is using alcohol to get into your life.' 2. "God doesn't want you to read your horoscopes". (Both before I got saved). 3. 'Thewhitedove, EVERYTHING you tell me is precious!' (The tone was very, very encouraging and adamant) 4. A dream with dialogue: I was standing and a voice over my right shoulder said 3 things: 1. The Holy Spirit is protecting [husband's name] because of you. 2. Stop fixating how you're not spreading the Gospel enough and work on your relationship with Jesus first. 3. (I was shown a tsunami coming my way.) The voice said: 'The tsunami won't touch you'. When I woke up, my husband told me he had a change of heart over a very major decision over night. It turned out be very a very blessed decision!!!!Every time I panicked during this time, I remembered how the tsunami wouldn't touch me, and it didn't. 5.Recently I was asking God to stop a situation that I've found stressful. He said 'Endure just a little longer'. 6. Yesterday I went for a walk and prayed about the same thing and He said 'Everything is going to be fine. Hold on'. I've also had lots of dreams with no words as well as experiences with the Rhema word when the Scripture came alive.

  36. I won't share details, but I "see" what God is speaking to me. I prayed like a prophet, and He granted me the insight of a prophet. He has shown things to me, and guided me to through Scripture to find Him and to have validation for the "Word" He has given me. I took Him at His Word... He has a standing invitation for anyone to ask for wisdom, understanding, insight, and the "hidden things." Through this, He has taught me to discern between scripture and manmade interpretations of scripture. I used to suffer thinking He is sometimes not there... After getting to know Him, I've realized He's always with me, but sometimes just silent unless I'm actively seeking Him.

  37. It means the following to me: The Greek word for “grace,” charis, is equivalent to the Hebrew word hesed, which means “loving kindness”—a word frequently used by the psalmists to describe God’s character. In the New Testament, the word charis usually means “divine favor” or “goodwill,” but it also means “that which gives joy” and “that which is a free gift.” Grace is the gift of God. It is expressed in God’s actions of extending mercy, loving-kindness, and salvation to people. Divine grace is embodied in the person of Jesus Christ (John 1:14, 17). God’s grace manifested in Jesus Christ makes it possible for God to forgive sinners and to gather them in the church. During His ministry, Jesus repeatedly offered forgiveness to a great number of sinners and extended God’s succor for a variety of desperate human needs. Through teachings such as the father’s forgiveness of the prodigal son and the search for the lost sheep, Jesus made it clear that He had come to seek and save those who were lost. But ultimately, it was His redemptive death on the cross which opened wide the gate of salvation for repentant sinners so that they have access to God’s forgiving and restorative grace. This simple truth is formulated in the doctrine of “justification by faith through grace” (Rom. 3:23; Titus 3:7). According to this teaching, God graciously provides life, through the death of Christ, to sinners who believe in Jesus. Jesus’ substitutionary death for all people enables God to pronounce a verdict of “not guilty” on repentant sinners and to include them in His eternal purposes. God’s grace manifested in Jesus also makes it possible for God to bestow undeserved benefits on believers. These benefits enrich our lives and unite us together in the church. God’s acceptance of believers on the basis of grace gives us a new status: we are children of God, members of the household of God, and can relate to Him as our heavenly Father (Gal. 4:4–6). God’s disposition to exercise goodwill towards His creatures is another essential meaning of “grace” in the Bible. This favorable disposition of God finds its supreme expression in Jesus Christ. By its very definition, this grace is rendered fully accessible to all humans with no precondition other than a repentant desire to receive it (Titus 2:11–12). The tragic alternative to receiving God’s grace is to remain in hopeless alienation from God (Rom. 1:21). Therefore, let us accept God’s gift of grace granted to us in Christ Jesus. 39. I've been having a lot of crying spells lately. Mainly since the new year. When I pray, when I read the Bible, when a sad TV show comes on, in church [primarily during hymn singing or altar call], and I find it embarrassing. For example, we put a man [a member's son] on the church prayer list who had terminal cancer and we, unfortunately, found out apparently when it was in the last stages. He and I went to school together 45 years ago and I haven't seen him since. At the announcement that he was on the prayer list, I was BURDENED about his eternal soul. I began praying for his healing and his salvation. He may have BEEN saved since the last time I saw him - I don't know. In the next two weeks, our pastor announced at the end of the service that he had passed away and to pray for the family. I burst into tears and so the crying spell started. I said this to say THIS......and if you think me insane, I won't argue. Just don't be hateful. I've spoken to my counselor about this and I have a doctor's app't in May and will talk to her about this these crying spells. However, I have been PARTIALLY convinced that I am burdened because there is not a lot of time left. I know everyone believes differently about end times and that's one reason that I stay AWAY from any end time threads on ANY forum I am on. Everyone just argues and argues and it's a hot mess of confusion. And I am NOT saying that I KNOW when the return of Christ is. I would label my own self as insane if I professed this. It may be today - it may be a long time from now. I just can't stop this feeling of - not doom, not gloom, not apprehension, not dread , those are from the devil - but of a sense of URGENCY that we may or may not see another Easter. Are we saved? Are our loved ones saved? Does anyone give a hoot? I have been praying for the past two days that God would move in the churches that have Godly men behind the pulpit and that he would SAVE people today. At my church, God did! A young 5th grade boy. His dad came with him to the altar call. I know this is just all inside of me and it's mine to bear - and I more than likely should not have said anything. I am burdened for the lost people I know. And the urgency just gets stronger. And yes, I am witnessing as best I can to people. I just don't believe we have a long time left. If I am dead wrong - I'll gladly admit it. But the pull of urgency is very strong in me.

  42. As others have responded, "Christian" does indeed appear in the scriptures. However, "true Christian" does not, nor does "true disciple" for that matter. There's also the modern context of "Christian" to consider. NConly shares the passage from Acts where disciples were first called "Christians" so according to the scriptural definition, a Christian is a disciple of Jesus Christ. The problem we encounter has to do with a widespread compulsion to judge others to determine if they are a "true" Christian or not. There is only one whom we ought to judge in such a way, and that one is our own selves. As for others, the commandment of the Lord is clear and concise; to wit, that we love one another as He loves us and, love our neighbor as ourselves. Both of those commandments are one and the same. That has nothing to do with judging teaching and the like, something we are called upon to do so that we don't find ourselves led astray. However, abstaining from accusatory finger-pointing and rhetoric is the rule to be sure for we are only judging doctrine, not individuals with regard to their standing with the Lord. Correction in meekness is called for, not accusation and strife. It is not our place to judge whether someone else is a "true Christian" or not, either. Why? We simply don't know, brother. The one who is judged and slandered by the self-righteous will be revealed as the beloved of the Lord. The unrighteous judge will be judged by the same measure by the Lord Himself.

  43. @Debp, @ladypeartree This little genius watched at the fish market how people would buy fish from a vendor. So she brought a leaf to the vendor who gave her a fish. From that day forward she brings the vendor a leaf and he gives her a fish.

  45. I understand that the process of getting God into man is achieved totally by Jesus Christ and applied by the Holy Spirit. The Tabernacle - God's first dwelling place - was specially designed to protect God's holiness. It also provided a very strict approach by man through multiple "gates". But the question above is really about the human BODY, for it is Christ's Body that was called a Temple (Jn.2:19-21). And after our Lord Jesus had gone to prepare an "abode" and returned, it was our BODIES that became a Temple for the Triune God (1st Cor.6:19). And it is here that we see a literal "wonder-work" of God. The Body of any man who came from Adam is totally poisoned and corrupted. Paul calls it this "vile" body and the "body of death" (Phil.3:21, Rom.7:24). In 2nd Corinthians 5 it says that in life we "groan" in this body and in Romans 7 it says that "NO good thing dwells in our bodies". Truly, what will it take for a holy God to use man's body for His abode on earth? God's creation shows us how. God sets forth a Law in Genesis 1:11-12 that multiplication of the animated creature will be by a seed within it, and it will always produce the same specie as the seed is. This is true today. In fact it is so important that it is upon this Law that Jesus possesses both humanity and divinity. It is also the basis of your rebirth. God had His Model in Jesus - the perfect Man. And so what He did was to put us all IN Jesus as seed of a KIND. In John 12:24 our Lord Jesus died as a seed. And in death our Lord achieves two things. 1. Because Jesus is the Creator of all things, and is the "Firstborn of all creatures", His death ended the old creation. And because we are IN Him, we were terminated too (Gal.2:20). 2. Because Jesus released us in the process of dying, like a grain of Wheat does, we became a New Creation with all that was old done away with (2nd Cor.5:17). This whole process is explained in the first verses of Romans 6, and Baptism is the "sign" that we have been through this process. A man IN Christ has a POSITION - in His death and in His resurrection. God now reckons a man IN Christ to be of the New Creation and in resurrection the old Adamic nature that corrupted our Bodies is gone. Now all that remains for Christ to do is WASH us and we are perfectly ready POSITIONALLY to host God. But God makes provision for our failures. He is a Spirit and so He makes man's human spirit His dwelling place. God only dwells in the Believers human spirit and is shielded from the profane by the man's soul. The journey to reach God in this new setup is designed to protect God's holiness. The journey we take to reach God in our spirits is quick. We approach Him in "Jesus' Name". In reality this is a complex journey. Our Bodies, being a "Tabernacle", has Gates, an Altar, a Laver, a first Curtain, a Lampstand burning, a Bread of Life Table, an Alar of Incense hard against another Curtain, and finally two Cherubim. Our Lord Jesus literally piggy-backs us through the whole way: 1. He is the Lamb without blemish Who died on the altar of sacrifice, 2. He is our washing at the Laver by His Word and blood 3. He is the Lampstand to shine His Light on our sins and our intellect 4. He is the Bread of Life for our DISPOSITION 5. He is the Incense that carries our prayers to the Father 6. He is our High Priest that carries us by name on His shoulders and by His heart of love 7. He has passed through the Cherubim .... and delvers us at the Throne of Grace - the Mercy Seat with its significant contents, and which UPON WE MEET WITH GOD (Jn.4:24). John 14 says that our Lord will go and prepare an ABODE, then return that we may be where He was already. The goal - to make men abodes of God. But He had to PREPARE a place. The above is a very brief explanation of one of the most profound events ever to happen 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. (Jn 14:20)

  47. My Daughter is a RN BSN degree worked for the VA in Sheridan Wy. They refused to except her exempt letter for religious reasons not wishing to take the jab, signed by her pastor as well. They tried to force her along with a few other RN's but she and them refused. Well they forced all of them to resign. They offered my daughter a position in the kitchen which she refused so she to resigned. Now tell me this what the heck happened in the USA and why! They tried to find an Attorney to represent them but not one would take the case. Big tech and big farma rule this and God is out and evil is in. When people call good evil and evil is good the end is near.

Let’s delve into the intersection of Destiny Church and New Zealand politics: Destiny Church and Pentecostalism: Destiny Church is part of the Pentecostal movement, which is the fastest-growing religious movement globally, boasting an estimated 500 million adherents. Pentecostalism emphasizes the raw power of the Holy Spirit and often clashes with modern cultural and environmental realities. Destiny Church followers have made controversial statements, including blaming the Christchurch earthquakes on “gays, sinners, and murderers” and seeking to reclaim Christchurch “for Jesus” after the 2019 terrorist attacks1. Resistance to Covid-19 Measures: Pentecostals, including Destiny Church, have been at the forefront of resisting Covid-19 mandates and restrictions. They’ve pushed back against gathering restrictions, asserting that only the second coming of Christ would close church doors. Some have claimed that Covid cannot survive in the bodies of the faithful, linked the virus to 5G technology, and viewed the pandemic as God’s test for distinguishing true believers1. Destiny Church’s Political Involvement: Destiny New Zealand, a Christian political party centered around Destiny Church, described itself as “centre-right.” The party focused on socially conservative values and attributed many of New Zealand’s problems to the breakdown of the traditional family2. In 2019, Destiny Church leaders Brian and Hannah Tamaki launched a new political party called Coalition New Zealand with the aim of entering parliament in the next election3. However, Destiny Church’s political parties have struggled to gain significant support, receiving well below 1 percent of the votes in previous elections4. In summary, Destiny Church’s influence extends beyond its religious congregation, intersecting with New Zealand’s political discourse and occasionally sparking controversy. Whether it’s opposing lockdowns or advocating for socially conservative values, Destiny Church remains a notable player in the country’s socio-political landscape5.
