  1. Could it possibly be that If God could totally heal you, that He could also take care of any other problems that might pop up after the healing?

  2. i believe Daniel 2 describes the divided Rome as still a significant power at the second coming. Rome divided into Western Europe and Turkey, these are the two feet of iron and clay. Now Revelation 13 once again describes a two-part empire that has significant power in the end-times. It is described as a beast (wild animal/aurochs). Beasts represent empires. This beast has two little horns, this means this beast has two small centres of power. I believe the two-horned beast and the two feet are the same two religious empires, because its highly unlikely there are four dominant powers at the end. And so I believe the two little horns (horns like a lamb's horns - ie very small) are the cities of Rome and Istanbul. Quite simply, Turkey will set up a new Union in the Middle East, of ten countries. The EU will join this union and so we will have a vast Islamic empire. This empire will allow the Jews to govern a larger region, and will allow them a temple, and a leader (false Messiah) and so there will be peace in the Middle East during the rule of this false Jewish Messiah. Jesus warned us about false prophets (Mohamed) and false Christs (Jewish leaders) and we are to watch out for both.

  3. I think the Op put a lot of thought to something that won't even be, two horns like a lamb, is not a two horned lamb, it is something that will have two horns like a lamb. At the Baptism of Jesus the Holy Spirit descended like a dove it was not a dove, but LIKE a dove. maybe He moved like a dove, Jesus praying in the garden and His Sweat became if it were Blood, It did not turn to Blood but LIKE blood, it could have very well been dipping off him like Blood drops. heard a sermon once lasted a whole hour, on all kind of medical research on how it is possible for a human to sweat so hard the they actually start bleeding. I look LIKE my brother does not Mean I become my brother, I flew through the air LIKE a Bird, does not mean I became a bird

  4. I have actually thought about this quite often too. I mean because Jesus died on the cross to forgive us. And we know that the religious leaders and the crowds gather together to demand that Jesus was crucified and certainly they accomplished this. That's why I said in my earlier post that Jesus says Father!Father! forgive them for they do not know what they do. So it seemed like everyone else had a way of redemption except Judas Iscariot who seemed never had another chance. Jesus said at the Last Supper that he would be betrayed and it was better that the person not to be born. So I remember that Judas was sorry for the things he did. I kind of wonder why Jesus did not send someone to Judas to say Thou art Judas for you have betrayed me. But I have seen that you have repented of these things. Goest thou way. For the great purpose of this had to happen for the son of man to be handed over. As we can see no one went out the way to rescue Judas from taking his life. So I have wondered if Judas actually said Oh God Father of Heaven I have sinned greatly against you and Judas brought a sacrifice of the appropiate offering would have been saved? What I find interesting in the verse is the term 'repent oneself'. I'll readily admit to not knowing any Greek so some of this is assumption. In Hebrew, the word often translated to repent is 'shuv'. Shuv means 'to turn'. So, Judas turned and went back to return the money. And then went and committed suicide. People can repent, or turn from the direction they are going, but the bigger question, is, that to turn away also means turning toward something, or someone. When scripture/God says, turn from your wicked ways, that would not just be turning from wickedness but also agreeing with God that they are wicked, so turning away from wicked to God. Judas turned from accepting the silver, but those who gave it to him would not take it back. Judas still felt guilty. What Judas apparently did was turn away from turning in an innocent man for money, but he never turned to Jesus. He never believed on Jesus. The sad point is, a person can repent, turn, without turning towards God. I was with you until you said Judas never believed on Jesus. I'm not sure about that because why follow Jesus if he didn't believe on him? I think he was just like the other disciples in that they were expecting the Messiah to have a different role....more of one that would be a conquering king for the Jews. Jesus had to be point the disciples to the scriptures when he was resurrected so that they would more clearly understand what his role was as the messiah. Maybe Judas thought he would be helping Christ to step into his role. I mean he saw Jesus heal and make food multiply for thousands and walk on water. With a king like that the jews would be the pride of all nations. Just a thought.

  6. if you go through our news section youll find that this has been a hot topic, of which I don't know why. This is a christian chat room, Phil is a professing christian, and while he was a bit blunt, he gave the answer most Bible believing christians would give, or should give. I for one, am 100% behind phil.

  7. It's amazing how all those prophets of the 66 books wrote in different cities, towns, had different experiences and still is perfect in word, timelines and everything else. It amazes me, but that's God... yup the Holy Spirit was speaking in these men, and the Holy Spirit comes from the same God, the Father. It's beautiful.

  8. Just wanted to share an interesting point about Judas that was shared with me. When Judas betrayed Jesus and sold him for 30 pieces of silver, did he repent? Matthew 27:3-5 says he did 3Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. 5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. But if he did, is there a repentance that the world knows how to demonstrate vs. the repentance that God requires.....had the scriptures but would appreciate help with this one. So if he repented why did Judas hang himself? Could it be that when he betrayed Christ, a scripture came to his mind that was unbearable. Deut. 27:25 Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen Could it be possible that he realized that he was cursed of God for what he did? Just a thought. What do you think?

  9. Not all prophecies in the bible are symbolic. For example The war of Gog and Magog and a gathering of a faithful remnant of Israelites. These are literal to me.

  10. Junanio, my wife is from the Philippines. I have been there a few times and will be back in Batangas and Cebu in February. She attended university and is a math and English teacher as well as having a business degree. I have not spoken to her, but i already know her answer, as do you. You know that to work in your country, or to make a success elsewhere and come back to live comfortably you have to have an excellent education. How many graduates do you know are working at Jolly B? There is not much work around, but the country is flying! It's growth this year was over 6%, property is soaring and the future as an Asian powerhouse is huge! Go back to school, that is my advice. look beyond the UAE and at your home country for your future. Mahal, son.

  11. The prophecies concerning Messiah indicated that He would overcome the human rule of government and replace it with His rule, and this is what the people clung to. But there are also prophecies about the Messiah being the suffering servant, however they were blinded to this. It was only after the ressurection that the disciples got it. Now, Messiah will conquor the human governements, but that is still in the future. The fulfillment of Passover came first. The new kingdom comes later. I see it this way as well, and the part about the people being blinded to it, that is something I didn't get or think about. I do think about Jesus disciples a lot, try to put myself in their shoes, they were just people like us, but God had a might work for them to do. But you are so right that they couldn't have fully grasped it until the resurrection, and then, as we all know, there was doubting thomas:) I'm afraid I have to admit to relating with him an awful lot:) God bless your day:) denise, ysic

  13. Micah 5:2 (In Jewish bibles this verse is Micah 5:1) And you, Bethlehem Ephrathah-you should have been the lowest of the clans of Judah-from you [he] shall emerge for Me, to be a ruler over Israel; and his origin is from of old, from days of yore. So, the Jewish view of the Messiah, is that the Messiah will be a son of David, and will rule as King over Israel, sitting on David's throne. Zechariah 12:8 On that day the Lord shall protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the weakest of them shall be, on that day, like David. And the house of David shall be like angels, like the angel of the Lord before them. 9 And it shall come to pass on that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come upon Jerusalem. So, yes, the Messiah was thought to form some great army and defeat Rome, then be King over Israel. The Jewish people under Roman rule were oppressed and looking forward to the time of the Messiah, when He would defeat Rome. Yes, this is it, people thought Jesus (the Messiah) was going to save them in a different way, maybe I could use "a worldly" way, not a spiritual way. In fact I see Jesus as the opposite of what so many expected. In Jesus short ministry on Earth, so many followed Him that He became more and more of a threat to the "worldly" rulers of that day. I think I have that right, maybe close at best:) I love how God works, never what the "natural man" expects is He;)

  15. Not being disrespectful but who are you saying "what if" to? If I am correct I believe this topic is not dealing with any kind of what if but with actual facts that members could talk about. In the OP GW says he would like to start with discussing Judas Iscariot.. So that is why I ask whom you are referring your comment to.
