  1. God specializes in hard hearts and making them gentle. A new heart also will I give you, and a New Spirit, will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26 Remember it is not what you have done that get you to heaven, but what Jesus did for each and everyone of us. Speaking of Jesus Christ, Paul stated: For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. II Corinthians 5:21 In other words God the Father sent His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ who was sinless, so that every man and woman on earth (all of us being great sinners) who put their trust in Him (have faith in Christ) are made righteous by our faith in Christ Jesus. In this way Christ Jesus became poor that we might be made rich. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich. II Corinthians 8:9 But even as we know Christ and grow in our relation to God the Father, we often have to hear Jesus standing and knocking at the door of our hearts. We let troubles in this world get us worried, and Jesus stand and knocks at our heart's door, wanting us to release these problems into His powerful hands, but He being a very gentle Lord, will not force Himself. For Jesus tells the Church: Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man shall hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me. Revelations 3:20 Many Christian tell this verse to non-believers when witnessing to them (which is well and fine), but these words were directed toward the Church. I think I kinda know somewhat of what you are dealing with Gto5050, as in the last couple of weeks, I really have been emotionally and spiritually drained, and I feel like an orphan like God has forgotten me, but I know of assuredly that if Christ Jesus was to return today I would go to heaven with Him, but as out of it, as i am, it would take me a couple of days to realize what has happened.

  2. Why do you include the 70 th week in the book of revelation ? Can you show me where? jesse. Jesse Matt 24:15 - So when you see standing in the holy place the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of through the prophet Daniel, let the reader understand; Flee. Dan 9:24 - Seventy Sevens have been decreed for your people and your holy city to:::.. v.27 - He will confirm a covenant with may for one seven. In the middle of the seven, he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation... There are two 42 month divisions of the 70th Week. Rev 13:5 - The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty two months. Rev 12:14 - so that she might fly to a place prepared for her in the desert, where she would be taken care of for a time, times, and half a time; (42 Months) Israel as a nation has not completed the 6 tasks of Dan 9:24.. 7 years, Two 42 Month periods. 4. http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-London/2014/08/22/UK-HT-Spokesperson-Says-Muslim-Armies-Rise-Up A spokesperson for the supposedly 'non-violent' group Hizb ut-Tahrir (HT) has appeared on video calling for Muslims around the world to rise up against the governments of the countries in which they live, with special reference to "going abroad and visiting" the Middle East. Taji Mustafa – who is known for touring of British university campuses delivering lectures to young, impressionable students – gave a speech at a Friday mosque sermon last month in which he claimed: "Why is it that the [Muslim] armies have not moved? Is it that we don't have armies? Is it that we are cowards? No, no, no. This Islamic nation has been blessed with men, with women, with faith, with people who long for martyrdom, with people who want to be the descendants of Saladin... Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan – we could drown this place. But what we have today is rulers who have abandoned the Quran." Mustafa's words come as Britain finds itself mired in dealing with homegrown extremism which has led to over 500 jihadists absconding and moving to Iraq and Syria to fight alongside the brutal terrorist organisation ISIS. While counter-extremism experts have been warning about Hizb ut-Tahrir and the likes of Mustafa for years, the British government has been unable to proscribe the group for fear of being slapped down by the European Court of Justice. Meanwhile, HT speakers continue to tour UK universities and mosques with messages of jihad and war. Mustafa said in his sermon: "The solution is clear: that Muslims have armies, and these armies should move. What we have today are rulers who prevent the armies of this nation from moving... It is not because we are weak, and it is not because we don't have men or weapons. It is because the armies have been chained. The armies should be released. This is the Islamic solution... Maybe we have not reached them. You need to contact everybody you know in the army of the Muslims. Contact them, call them, visit them. Go abroad and visit them. You need to speak to them. You need to open their eyes." Mustafa's comments are likely to attract the interest of the security services, who regard the incitement to visit foreign armies such as ISIS as a contravention of Britain's counter terrorism law. In the 2010, the Conservative Party's election manifesto claimed that "A Conservative government will ban any organisations which advocate hate or the violent overthrow of our society, such as Hizb-ut-Tahrir, and close down organisations which attempt to fund terrorism from the UK." Cameron's government did no such thing, allowing the likes of Mustafa to continue proselytising across the UK.

  7. I'm still learning which boards to post certain topics to. Please forgive me if this is not on the correct board. I ran across this post from Hebrew for Christians. It meant a little something to me because August 25 is my last week of work. I am looking forward to getting my Bible reading, Bible study, Scripture memory, prayer life back in order. I really liked this article because it talks about a whole month setting aside to get our spiritual house back in order. ----"The month of Elul is therefore a time set aside each year to prepare for the Yamim Nora'im, the "Days of Awe," by getting our spiritual house in order." http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Scripture/Parashah/parashah.html

  8. Samonee, like Hindsfeet I find your post helpful, and you have awakened an interest in Hebrew that I once pursued - I still have the book on learning Hebrew promoted by that site. The feasts are indeed fascinating and wonderful to study;so rich in symbolism and promise. Thank you, I have bookmarked the site so I can dip in now and then

  9. Salty, I do not see what this has got to do with it. You say the false prophet is Satan himself. You can believe that if you like, but to me it does not harmonise with scripture. I know Satan is there with him holding his hand, guiding him, going in him, but i cannot accept the false prophet is Satan himself. I say the scriptures tell us the false prophet is a man "The man of sin", the son of perdition. Satan is not the son of anything anymore, but the father of lies, and a father to the wicked. Satan was the first to sin. He came before perdition, not the other way round. Daniel 11:38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. Can you please tell me if Satan has fathers?

  10. During the following one half of this last week, or three and a half years, they refused to hear the message. The Messiah also said just before He was cut off, speaking of the Jews: "They shall fall by the edge of the sword and be led away captive into all nations, and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles UNTIL the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled" (Luke 21:24). During this three and a half years, they turned against their own race, put them in prison, and stoned them to death. Notice Acts 7:54 to 58, also chapter 8:1 to 3, and chapter 5:18 to 20 etc. The 70th week is already past If the 70th Week is past, why has not Israel and the holy city Jerusalem completed the six tasks. For Seventy Sevens have been decreed for Daniels people and Daniels holy city to 1. Finish transgression, 2. Put an end to sin, 3. To atone for wickedness, 4. To bring in everlasting righteousness, 5. To seal up vision and prophecy, 6 To anoint the most holy. This is not a prophecy about Christ fulfilling the six tasks. The New Covenant is an everlasting covenant, not a seven year covenant. This is where many error, saying the 70th Week is past. Yet this New Covenant did not begin until Christ death, His shed Blood. Number 5 is a killer; to seal up vision and prophecy (if this were the case, Johns book of Revelation did not happen), and you have no case. In Christ Montana Marv

  12. Sister, answer this one question. Did God so love the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life? If you say yes, than ask yourself how could He not include those who lived before Jesus was born? Even in the OT, everything pointed to God. Don't discard those in the OT, believing that Jesus did not die for them also. What do you think Jesus was doing in the heart of the earth for three days?

  13. God wants his creations to serve Him willingly. He's loves his creations. His creations cannot love back unless they have the choice to love back. In order for one to be capable of love, one must be capable of the opposite. That is, one must have free will. Now, having free will includes the capacity to turn from God. One cannot exist without the other. It's cause and effect. Now, this can and does lead to many evils (just look at our world). Therefore, a loving God must allow for evil to exist in order for love to exist.

  14. What I laid out there is what you're talking about. Sorry it seemed too technical. Without Christ the soul is left with being judged by their works, no remission of sins. That affects their placement in the 1,000 years, but it does not mean the verdict is passed yet, the jury is still out for those during the 1,000 years. The verdict isn't passed until the Great White Throne Judgment after the 1,000, and that's the point. The reason for Christ's thousand years reign is like Apostle Paul showed in 1 Cor.15, that Christ MUST reign over all His enemies until they are made His footstool. It's to show them Who The GOD really is, because during this present world the majority of them were deceived, or blinded by God Himself (Rom.11). In other words, it shows that not all peoples have the same time to 'know' Christ The Saviour. During the 1,000 years none will have an excuse, so IF they decide to let Satan deceive them again at the end of 1,000 years when he is released, it will mean they made their choice to perish with him with their blinders fully removed, meaning full accountability. With the deceived in the Church, the five foolish virgins He closes the door upon, what about them? I believe Jesus will save those of them that realize what they had done in falling away from Him to worship another in His place, because they were deceived. Lot of brethren are going to fall away especially in these last days, and worship the coming Antichrist thinking he is our Lord Jesus having come. They just won't know the difference, because their Church leaders haven't prepared them, and they relied on their Church leadership instead of directly on Christ in His Word to know (i.e., lacking the spare vessel of the Oil), so they are like blind sheep. Most of those I would say are ordained to that deception, God has blinded them, along with unbelieving Israel. But in the 1,000 years, they will 'know', and I'd like to think they all will repent and be saved.

  15. Jesse The 144,000 are all Jewish. The 144,000 are special elect out of Israel, they are not the Church. The Church is built on the Word - Jesus Christ - it is not built on the Apostles. We as the Church are already clean/spotless. We don't need to go through the Trib. to prove anything. I will add more later In Christ Montana Marv

  16. Yes I agree, but the olive tree is God the branches are the jews, but for now broken off. The wild olive branches are grafted unto the tree = Christians; also called spiritual israel. jesse. The TWO GROUPS of people who are the ONLY TWO WITNESSES in all the earth who stand for the only true and wise God ARE number 1, the true believers in Christ Jesus the Son of God, otherwise know as Christians or formally known as the WILD OLIVE TREE; and number 2, the other witness standing before the one true God is ISRAEL, which is the NATURAL OLIVE TREE. So you see we have TWO different GROUPS of people who stand for the God of the earth, and it is these TWO GROUPS who are the TWO WITNESSES spoke of in the book of Revelation. We can see these TWO GROUPS, the Jews, who believe in Almighty God the Father, and the Christians, those who believe in Jesus, the Son of God as their savior all through the book of Revelation as well as the rest of the word of God. Take a look at Revelation 20:4 which says,“...and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the WITNESS of Jesus AND for the WORD of God.” thanks

  17. my perspective, based on my understanding of scripture, is that we are to have no communication with the dead. we're warned about it more than once. if it wasn't possible, then the warnings in scripture would be pointless. saul consulted a medium to bring back the ghost of samuel. the bible gives a pretty clear account of that incident. samuel spoke to saul during that 'encounter'... prophetic words of God. i know the arguments against ghosts. perhaps it's a question of how a person defines a ghost as opposed to a demon. but to MY understanding of scripture, they are real, and they aren't demons. but they are strictly off limits... possibly, at least in part, because to put any faith in those who have already died is to NOT put your faith in God. that's my christian perspective. i won't try to talk anyone out of theirs, nor will i engage in debate over mine.

  19. I need to step in here. This is a discussion forum, not a court of law and not a classroom. Nobody dictates to anyone how a thread is to be conducted, as long as the conduct is within the ToS. What was presented to you was an opinion of what a person saw in scripture, just as you provided your opinion of what you saw in scripture, and is just as valid. Keep in mind this site is a ministry, not Facebook or Google Groups. The only ones who can hold any teaching threads are those who are part of this ministry. Discussions are always welcomed, as are debates, but teaching is not.

  21. Praying to God privately in tongues is not a problem, there are prayers that break the backs of words. Praying in tongues to the church requires interpretation, without which there is no edification of the general body..

  22. The Holy Spirit was given to us for guidance and I agree that he can not give them himself, which is why we ourselves must pray for those things..... and in some cases we ourselves do not need to know, thus we speak them in utterances that we don't understand.. so I would disagree that tongues with no interpretation is not from God.

  25. Can't tell from your post Ladyalaska, but do you and your husband know Christ Jesus as your Redeemer? If you do are you fairly young in the faith? It sounds like you may know Christ as your Savior just can't tell. But as believers in Christ we are never told to ask for an Angel's help but rather to ask for the Holy Spirit and His power released in our lives. By asking for an angel to guide you, you may have open your house to something you do not want, in there. In the occult and new age religion they ask for spirit guides, which are evil spirits. I say this especially because animals can sense things that we cannot, and more importantly I notice you said somehow on a day you where going to church your door just locked on it own. God will send us His Angels, but we as believers let Him chose when. Praying for you, and your house.

  27. Please don't be puzzled on that brethren. In Isaiah 14 God is mocking Satan and using his own words, what Satan has claimed. At Isaiah 14:4, God reveals He's speaking a 'proverb' against the king of Babylon. That means like a parable (I'll say more on that point later). Isa 14:12-14 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." (KJV) The underlined part above are Satan's own words. God is repeating what Satan has claimed he will do against Him. In the first edition 1611 KJV, the translators put "O Day Starre" in the margin as an alternate reading for "Lucifer". They got the name "Lucifer" from the Latin translation. The actual Hebrew word does indeed mean 'morning star'. I'm sure they used the name Lucifer to make sure the reader was not confused as to whom God was really pointing to there in that section of Isaiah 14. But Lucifer, i.e., Satan, is NOT The Morning Star. It's important to pick up the subject context God began that with starting at Isaiah 14:4. He's using the king of Babylon title as a symbolic title for Satan, just like He did in Ezekiel 28 with the titles of "prince of Tyrus" and "king of Tyrus". It's involving how Satan sinned against God in the beginning, and still wants to be God. If you understand Ezekiel 28 as a proverb with God doing the same kind of parable thing there with symbolically pointing to Satan as the "anointed cherub that covereth", and that God originally created him perfect in his ways before he rebelled, then it's the same matter here in this section of Isaiah 14. Satan coveted God's Throne for himself, wanting to be God, when it was Satan's original job to guard God's Throne. Since the title Morning Star is another title for our Lord Jesus Christ per Rev.22, we should well know Satan is not That Morning Star. But Satan wants to be, and there's the rub. In a similar fashion, God uses the same kind of title association in Deut.32:31... Deut 32:31 31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. (KJV) Little case "rock" compared to upper case "Rock"; what's that mean? Satan is that little "rock", God is our "Rock". By that is meant like that Isaiah 14 Scripture, Satan WANTS to be God, and worshipped as God. That means as our Lord Jesus Christ too, for He is God The Son. Deeper: Why would our Heavenly Father say in Isaiah 14:4 to take up a proverb about the king of Babylon, and then use that in pointing to Satan? The king of Babylon during Jeremiah's day was Nebuchadnezzar, but clearly there in Isaiah 14 that's not who God was speaking about, even though ole' Neb did want to be God, and worshipped as God also. Use your thinking caps brethren, because isn't there still yet an end time Babylon to occur per our Lord's Book of Revelation? Yes. Revelation does not mention a king of Babylon, but it does point directly to a king, a beast king for the last days, and in association with a beast kingdom and a harlot city called... "Babylon" (Rev.17-18). If you've understand that, along with the isaiah 14 Scripture about the "king of Babylon" title applied to Satan by our Heavenly Father in that section of verses, then you ought to be able to fathom what Satan wants to also do for the very end of this world. Did any of Christ's Apostles point to this same idea in Isaiah 14 of Satan wanting to be God, and worshipped as God by the congregation? Well, take another look at what Apostle Paul covered in 2 Thessalonians 2 about the one coming to sit in the temple of God to proclaim himself as God, and over anything called God or that is worshiped, and in 2 Corinthians 11 about the "another Jesus".
